    I'm so happy that Tyler Oakley is representing and helping raise money for this amazing cause. The Trevor project needs to be noticed and appreciated for how much they care.

    • @loriraye9081
      @loriraye9081 6 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Absolutely! Trevor is there for anyone who just needs to talk or get something off their chest, suicidal or otherwise. There is always someone to talk to even when you feel lonely or completely lost. You are never alone and people are here for 24/7/365. Stay strong.

      Absolutely okay and a good idea. The counselors are eager to listen and help with all kinds of issues. Even if you think it's a little thing, they want to help you so it doesn't become a big thing. Also, you won't be taking anyone's spot, there is always another counselor waiting for a call.

      I know this is late and I don’t know where you’re at but know that I’m here for you and that I love you and you’re valid just the way you are, I struggle the same with being in a religions and homophobic household but what got me through this is just know that I’m not the only one and to accept and eventually loving myself, so remember you’re valid and you have me right beside you holding your hand with the rest of the lgbtq+ community, wish you happy and endless love Abby 💗💗

    • @badmiddens
      @badmiddens 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@bethjudkins7716 considering how many people use the bible to fuel their bigotry, maybe it isn't the best idea to push your religious beliefs on a kid you don't know.

    Nicholas Flanders Hope it all worked out OK for you.
    Really, really pleased about this project.
    I had not heard about this project until very recently (but then, I live in the UK - so my bad for not exploring).
    Pleased that this could be a support route for you. You are brave enough to even look and comment, so that is good.
    Be strong.
    It really does get better - how does one say that without being a cliché? Because I mean it.

    You...your entire project, it's amazing. I have no idea how to express my words to this. You truly are angels to the teens that need help out there about their sexuality...
    I almost cried when I heard Brian say that they kicked their own kid out of the house for being gay. It really does disgust me that people like this would do this to someone so young.
    I really can't say anything except that this is truly such a wonderful project to exist and save young lives.

    i wish this was a featured video or something. It deserves so many more views and it would really teach something important to everyone. Especially the homophobic bullies out there. I do believe this video could change their views and behavior. If not then they are heartless and they are just a disgrace to humanity.

    I love the idea of The Trevor Project ever since Sister Unity from The Los Angelus Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. But since it is not available in Canada where I live, I really started to get depressed and wished that they could be in Canada because of the cause that they are supporting. I know it is not available in Canada because I tried calling and I wrote a lettwer to "Dear Trevor". Please, try to make this helpline available in Canada. I have tried to commit suicide about 23 times already

    A therapist asked me if my ED was a vehicle to commit a slow suicide, and i couldn't answer that. . . It's thought that LGBT ppl,adults, teens, struggle with alcohol and esp drug use at higher rates than there straight peers. I personally think it might be an interesting and worthwhile consideration to explore the topic of EATING DISORDERS within the LGBT+ community. .Binge eating disorder is known to be a LGBT+ issue, and all of these are troubling, and they've gotten worse across the board for all teens and young people. . . .Gay men teens have the same percent of eating disorders as heterosexual women. Transgender women are said --though there's not a lot of solid research out there about it --- but it's thought that they suffer at a significantly higher rate than any other subset of the LGBT+ community. . No offense meant, but there is a pressure for trans-women to go as thin as possible, which often makes them appear more traditionally female in their body presentation. .. For a long time, because of perhaps a too-broadly assumed stereotype that lesbian women and the community itself are more freely welcoming women of all sizes and shapes, but there's been some interesting insights about lesbian women / teens and a rate of bulimia that is higher than thought. I'm not sure about how " Bi " stands for men, women or whatever gender status one may go by in relation to it. And Men-and-Women-Of-Color have also seen EDS group at an unusual high rate. It's thought that BC of the school-ended or lessened interaction, social media bullying and consumer culture and other factors, eating disorders are possibly have nearly doubled in some areas. It could also be that, bc teens were at home more, their parents could more easily spot behaviors and weight matters, when EDs thrive in isolation and live in the dark.

      Tyler Oakley who's closely involved with your org, Portia DeRossi, Elton John, Demi Lovato. Lady Gaga,Jameela Jamil who's bi, the late Luther Vandross, I think Russel Brand and Lily Collins and i think Kesha are both bi) and Randy Rainbow are all '' OUT " about having struggled with various EDS.

      So often, too often, LGBT+ young and old alike are "dying the death of a 1,000 paper cuts". That has to stop, and that starts with me and everyone who wants to make that change.

    This video is very touching whatever I watch it I end up crying I came out in early 2000 and then around I fell in love with an artist by the name of Billy Gilman the 3rd I found out 2014 that Billy Gilman came out of the closet which I'm very proud of I also have a family member who may also be coming out which I totally support please no judging gay people have a right to live their lives just like everybody else we have a church call the bruderhof communities which in my opinion needs torn apart piece by piece because oh mighty God Jehovah loves everybody and the westboro Baptist Church just need shut up with a rocket 🚀 launcher along with its church members because oh mighty Jehovah God loves his LGBTQ with all of his heart 🌈
