Good video again. Explaining the best way to catch which is most time the simple way. Like you I use the Duraslip in mainly 9, 13 and 15, but use Original slip no 7 for the rest of my fishing. I would advise that anglers pre stretch before cutting the elastic. Impressive catch rate considering the weather we have had. Keep them coming.
Thanks very much I love the dura slip now, seems to have the advantages of a hollow but lighter in the pole and works better in the pole. Same as you the only other stuff I use it the original slip for my silver fish and natural fishing
Cheers Adam i enjoyed that again. I fished Maple about a week ago using the same method but more bottom of the slope, was a mega day for time of year, had another line on maggots but was not as good as pellets. cheers
If you get chance will you do a vid on a match at winfield I was on the same match as you pal last year n you smashed it up I'm only a club angler but go on Andy's opens when I get chance but never quite catch enough lol cheers
Hi Adam, hope you can help, im fishing a 13mtr snake lake with mainly 3 to 10lb carp & its hard fished water , im seeing lots of signs of carp in peg but getting them to feed is a nightmare, as im sure they wait till we go, or they have already fed up on prior matches, how would you go about tackling a venue like this, any tips to get them feeding, thanks in advance Steve
Hi Andy, thanks for that. For f1s aslong as there’s not many many problem fish defiantly expanders for me. Probabaly hard pellets for proper carp though
When picking your elastic some anglers say match the electric to your hook lengths. How can you do that when you don’t know the breaking strength of elastic Because there so many types and they don’t tell you breaking strain. how do you work it out
Hi Roy. A lot of being able to choose the right elastics to the right lines is down to using the elastics and getting used to how they work . In my opinions you are better off trying to stick to one brand of elastic and get used to using it and how much pressure it will put on your line, if your hook lengths are breaking before the elastic is any where near bottomed out then your fishing with to heavy an elastic for that diameter line. I tend to stick to Preston dura slip for all my commercial fishing and use the number 7 or f1s with hooklengths from 0.08 up to 0.11 The number 11 for f1s with hooklengths from 0.12 to 0.15 Number 13 for carp with 0.13 -0.17 hooklengths And the number 15 for above 0.17 If you stick roughly to that you shouldn’t be to far away no matter what brand you use
Thanks for that! I use two types, the first are a small 4mm from a Batch I ve had for years. The others are the Sonu pro expanders which are slightly bigger
good info adam cheers
Thanks John, glad you enjoyed it 👍
Another very good video very informative and well presented
Great video Adam

Good informative Video Adam. 👍🏽 Thank you. 😊
For March/April time, what do you find works best for F1's & carp, maggots or soft or hard pellets?
Hi Andy, thanks for that.
For f1s aslong as there’s not many many problem fish defiantly expanders for me. Probabaly hard pellets for proper carp though

great vid again Adam, what pole you using mate?
Hi Ian, I’m using a browning sphere still at the moment
Great watch Adam , what brand of expander do you use ?
Thanks for that!
I use two types, the first are a small 4mm from a Batch I ve had for years. The others are the Sonu pro expanders which are slightly bigger
@@AdamRichardsFishing Thanks Adam , I like the sonubaits ones myself , batches seem consistent .
They re very consistent and a really nice texture to. Some can go a bit soggy and soft but those ones hold they re shape and texture really well
Can you tell me if you are allowed keepnets at the ponds
Hi Kevin
It varies through the year with weather but you can at the moment, they put signs up once they re not allowed
What depth do you look for at this time of year Adam ?
Ideally some where between 2.5 and 3 foot is about right to start.
You could catch a bit shallower than that though, especially if you have some cover
How far off the far bank were you fishing and how deep
thanks
I’m not to fussy about how far off the bank I fish but ideally look to find 2.5 to 3 foot of depth and some where nice and flat
@@AdamRichardsFishing many thanks for the reply
What peg is that Adam? Looks about 75. Just curious
Peg 31 i was on
Enjoyed your video always can rely on you talking sense
