How about us all giving these kids props for keeping Rock and Roll alive.. I'd rather listen to this than anything on Top 40 Radio... GREAT job to all of you....
you prolly dont care at all but does any of you know of a tool to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost my login password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me!
@Rene Dominic thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm trying it out now. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
@Rene Dominic WTF IT ACTUALLY WORKED! Just got access to my ig password within roughly 40 minutes of using the site. Just had to pay 15$ but definitely worth the money :) Thanks so much, you saved my ass :D
Look, nobody's ever going to be able to perfectly recreate the original Free Bird. Nobody's going to put in the heart and soul that Lynyrd Skynyrd did. Nobody's ever going to be able to play that solo like Allen Collins did, or sing like Ronnie Van Zant did. This group did a fantastic job, so don't put them down by insulting their abilities.
I mean, in terms of technical difficulty, Free Bird isnt a very hard song for a professional to play. Its the soul and timbre of the song that make it great imo
Agree with you!! Seen bands try this at various places and didn't even get this close. All those kids have the right stuff for a fun great future, be it big or small!!
watch again it's not synching to the video ..either he isn't playing what we're hearing or it's just out of time ..he's in the right areas though ..lol I give them credit for playing this classic though
Ok, hats off to these kids for even embracing the Rock and Roll of an era that was around long before any of them were born. At least it isn't hip hop. I think this song was an awesome choice, and as far as it not being the original, of course not. Yet my guess is many of you listen to songs that have been covered all of the time. Give the kids credit, they put themselves out there, and I love the way they ended the song.
I thought her name was Abigail, Kaleigh it is. -Sorry, TCB are new to me ... ;) both singer and the guy handling the lead guitar are sublime ... in fact, the whole group are way above what you normally come across !
I would be be more pissed off if it DID sound like a replica! It's different & let's face it, not even Skynyrd play Freebird like they used to [for obvious reasons] but this is a really good rendition. Fuck me, at least young people are giving 70s music some love... You don't hear much LS inspiration in bands today, so I call it cool. :-)
Young folks playing this... is great!! Excellent - to be encouraged, not compared. Those great men who were LS would be delighted kids are rockin' out on their tune - keeping the music ALIVE people...
+Glenn Canale I live in Brazil , only a miracle would grant me the opportunity to buy a gibson for $100, even an epiphone for $100 is impossible here , the minimum for an epiphone is $350, and for a gibson , around $950 for a shit one, I mean not shit but , not that great.
TREMENDOUS!! What strikes me so much is that young people, in this day and age, for the most part, and if you ask them, will tell you they have never even heard of Lynyrd Skynyrd These teen have... and God Bless Them... For those of you that criticize... Do YOU SING? PLAY ANY INSTRUMENT? Get TOGETHER... on a regular basis and PRACTICE? The guitar solo rifs alone are extremely difficult to master without tons of practice So yeah... these guys ROCK Ronnie Van Zant, Allen Collins, Steve Gaines, are Smiling right now... The CLASSICS LIVE FOREVER ROCK ON YOU GUYS!!
The musicianship here isn't the greatest, but I have admiration for any kid who picks up a guitar and shares the common passion as the rest of us. Having Skynyrd as an influence in this day and age is just what the music doctor ordered.
You guys did great. If anyone complains about this or that note missing or being changed, kindly remind them that's not Dogma...its Rock n Roll!! Party on.
+Bill C It's amazing they can even turn on their computers never mind play a Free Bird rendition ..bunch of dicks here criticizing kids who are actually doing an incredible job
All that vocalist was doing was being creative. Any true Skynyrd fan knows that the only person who can sing Free Bird is Ronnie VanZant, even Jonny VanZant would agree with that. I play guitar and still have not mastered the solo, the slide a little bit. It is better for these kids to be playing music than hours and hours of video games. You know it took each of them a long time to learn their respective parts.
well said sir, these kids deserve a standing ovation for us out here in cyberland, and to their parents raising therm on good music. Not boy band or rap.i would gladly pay to see these kids play in a club here in west tenn.
Best cover I have seen on TH-cam yall did great and its good to see some appreciation from a younger generation classic.rock must live on and never die!!!
I'm not trying to put them down for trying but the only person in the whole world to sing this song and have it sound flawless and truly beautiful is the one and only, Ronnie Van Zant. Hell even his brother isn't that good at singing it.
Nice guitar work on this one....stays true to the original. Very pretty when the piano came in on the second 'verse'. It actually sounded like this could have been recorded in the seventies and I'm amazed at how the style was remarkably authentic, coming from teenagers playing in the two thousand teens. My only advice here would be to turn the vocal volume upon the mic as it should be over the music of the band somewhat.Otherwise it is good singing, she was true to her natural range and again, the seventies style here is authentic, as is the mood in the singing. Awesome jam at the end. Sounds like they put in their own flair here, as well as a heaping dose of passion. Nice job, guys :)
I guess this was a practice session. Not sure. Kaleigh Jo singing in low register for the first six minutes and the band breaking loose for the last five minutes in a great session.
Loved them and the singer did a different but still good job. REMEMBER they are NOT Lynyrd Skynyrd. Don't try to compare them. The final solo was greatly played by this young man knowing full well that he is not Allen Collins.
taking a wild stab in the dark here, but i think there may be a time laps between pic/audio.anyone who knows the solo knows it goes down to that position for that part.i can be wrong, but i almost never am.....I think they did an incredible job for a bunch of youngens!
As long as the youth continue to perform Lynyrd Skynyrd it will live forever. This is the Love and Passion for the band that was as key part of our lives in the 70s!! Keep on Rocking!!!
okay so I like it but it needs work this is a like soul moving song for generations, your sound is great your emotion not so much when this song is song right it's half pain half love it's not words it's pure emotion of a torn person, if you take your talents and add the emotion you'll knock this song out of the park and I will come back and love it

Very nice cover of an epic 1970's classic rock song. I really liked it, great emotion that fits the song well with fresh young talent. I'd love to see them try ELP's Karn Evil 9 next.
jesus christ guys their teens and they did good so why bash them GOD its not like they been playing for decades!!!!! and besides thats their style of playing and they dont need to be just like the real band so stop Hating for christ sakes. I bet the ones doing the hating cant play a note on any instrument or sing a note if their life depended on them ..........
These kids sound good and a lot of heart! The adults on here criticizing these kids have major issues. Get an appointment scheduled for psychoanalysis so you can address the roots of your insecurity. Then hopefully life will become a lot more enjoyable for you.
I think the music is great for young players...great job..I'm sure the girl sings other things great but this song has to be sung with the feeling that Ronny put into it..
Wow! Why has TH-cam been hiding this from me for so long?
A great rendition. Kaleigh has a unique voice. Well done to all!
How about us all giving these kids props for keeping Rock and Roll alive.. I'd rather listen to this than anything on Top 40 Radio... GREAT job to all of you....

well put
+MoparManRT1969 yeah true. Johnny dont sing it like his brother did
+MoparManRT1969 Have you heard Molly Hatchet's version? That is a very good one :D
@Joshua Heap like you could do any better? Big words over a screen why don't you put your voice on the internets ya ingrate
I mean, in terms of technical difficulty, Free Bird isnt a very hard song for a professional to play. Its the soul and timbre of the song that make it great imo
I’m blown away. 59 years old here. Skynyrd fan all my life. You guys made this your own.
Agree with you!! Seen bands try this at various places and didn't even get this close. All those kids have the right stuff for a fun great future, be it big or small!!
Well put. Amen, brother.
The Guitarist playing the part of Allen Collins on the Gibson Korina 1958 is spot on. Rips it up. Great job kids!
watch again it's not synching to the video ..either he isn't playing what we're hearing or it's just out of time ..he's in the right areas though ..lol I give them credit for playing this classic though
all these haters never even touched a guitar nor a drumkit
I'm a bassist and drummer and this song is NOT easy. Only bad parts I really hear is poor recording equipment. This kids deserve congrats
@@Jay-yl9th The piano too is not easy.
I play guitar and the hardest part in my opinion is the solo
Ok, hats off to these kids for even embracing the Rock and Roll of an era that was around long before any of them were born. At least it isn't hip hop. People are complaining because it doesn't sound like the studio version; I think it sounds fairly close to Oakland.
And to be honest, Oakland was a little better than the studio version.
There's a version where they preformed on a radio station. Best version of free bird
Kaleigh`s voice is sublime, super guitar work as well ... -best cover version I ever heard :) !
I thought her name was Abigail, Kaleigh it is. -Sorry, TCB are new to me ... ;) both singer and the guy handling the lead guitar are sublime ... in fact, the whole group are way above what you normally come across !
Free bird is one if gods greatest gifts to mankind

+NerfYashru - Time to take a road trip and get the axe of your dreams! 8o)
I’m 13 and I own a les Paul, does that make me spoiled? I mean I paid for it myself
@@guitarskeepmesane4958 nah, if you paid for it yourself then congrats man, keep working hard and keep making music

The musicianship is amazing. I don't get where that criticism comes from.
Juan Correa I think ne means the showmanship which is important
Music doctor? Is that even a thing?
@@osamabinladen824 Yeah. You can get a doctorate in music.

I swear to god, I want every M-fer on this board hating on this version to post your ass playing free bird, AT ANY AGE.

It's amazing they can even turn on their computers never mind play a Free Bird rendition ..bunch of dicks here criticizing kids who are actually doing an incredible job
Glad you support young musicians, Bill. Check out our band, with a female singer!

Now these are the types of free bird covers i like to see, more based off the live version with the piano solo
That. Was. Awesome. Literally gave me chills when they hit the overdrive and kicked it up. Great job guys!
Well done you lot, forget the haters and keep rockin'....
I just listened to skynyrd before I came here and honestly this cover is freaking awesome!
That was awesome! And while the guitar dudes got most of the attention, the bass player was killing it.
I really like it! For their age they sound amazing! The singer doesn't have my style of voice, not to say it's bad, she still did well.
Awesome job! Don't let the haters get you down- I salute you just for trying!!
What a bass!!!! Wow awesome.
Allen Collins and Artimus Pyle, along with the rest would be proud.....kids not playing Justin bieber, I'll take that any day.....GREAT JOB GUYS!
well...right on guys...great job you guys hit it right on..awsome guitar
Amazing all around! An extra cheer to the guitarist! WOW! just WOW!
girl on bass was tearing it up!
Best cover I have seen on TH-cam yall did great and its good to see some appreciation from a younger generation classic.rock must live on and never die!!!
Great job, I love to hear the younger generation do these songs that I grew up with. Thank you
That's a hell of a task to pick for someone who hasn't been playing for 20 years. Well done.
I'm not trying to put them down for trying but the only person in the whole world to sing this song and have it sound flawless and truly beautiful is the one and only, Ronnie Van Zant. Hell even his brother isn't that good at singing it.
Zach Carlson no one could beat Ronnie. Cursed be the day that the plane crashed.
That girl on bass was pretty damn good too!

No Ed or Steve on this one. Just Collins and Rossington doubles. Great jamming guys. You're making my day.
Great 🎸 bro. Your slide work is sick. 🔊🎤🇺🇸

👍 Imitation is the highest compliment Lynyrd Skynyrd could ever receive 👍
at LAST, a band that knows the guitars that the skynyrds were using!! great job to everyone
The hell??? Yes!!!!!
Woah! Everyone awesome job! Loved the bass Leon would be proud!
I loved this, you’re in my Favourites now! A big song to do and you conquered it with huge effort from all of you. Respect 👌👍👏

I think the music is great for young players...great job..I'm sure the girl sings other things great but this song has to be sung with the feeling that Ronny put into it..
The big Rebel Flag is missing
Well I salute them for their courage if not their execution.
Outstanding that is a hard song to sing the best part the youth of today are being inspired by great rock and roll😆😎
Holy shit. Is the kid on the Les Paul Gary Rosington's grandson?
