Im 32 and these videos reminds me of how we used to hang out with friends when we were 19-24. We don't see each other anymore and I don't have friends or parties like this anymore.
russianvoodoo how do you do it? I’m 16 and all my friends are leaving for college soon and moving across the country. I cry about it whenever i think about it. Any advice? How do you move on from those friends?
@@chumberland the late teens is a tough time for relationships in general. For the most part, you move on and make new friends. 6 years later my highschool friends and I still get together a few times a year, usually around holidays when we are back with our families, but I've made plenty of good friends in my area since then that I get together with more often. But we also live in an age of information and communication, it is easier than ever to stay in contact with someone without ever seeing them face to face, which is kind of the theme of this channel. You just need to make the effort.
Life moves on relentlessly, and people will come and go, and my advise is to not forget them, but don't be afraid to move on and meet more either. Good luck.
TeddyMac Films be social and carry on making friends but never forget about your old friends just because they move away, make the most of the time they’re around and keep in contact even if it’s just games or sending memes too each other. It’s tough to experience but it gets better, trust me it always does.

@@chumberland I'm from Moscow, Russia. When I was 16 (till I was 25 or something) I lived my parents not for away from Moscow. Most of the best universities are situated in Moscow and Saint-Petersburg. So it took my only 1 hour 30 minutes (bus, train) one way to get there. Most of my friends studied in Moscow as well. So yeah, usually most of the young folks study in the biggest cities in the region where they live. Few of them tend to leave their area to move to Moscow or SaintP. It means that in most cases you will hangout with your buddies till you finish university. And that's usually where more people decides leaving their home towns for more opportunities and money. It's just a sad fact about Russia that there's not many choices where you can go. This is one of the reasons why we call Moscow - The default city. I moved to Moscow, some of my friends didn't. And this is one of the many reasons why we don't hangout anymore. We're just changing. And also it's hard to find new friends when you 30+. It's just doesn't feel like it was before. Not even sure if this thing exist. I'm losing my point, sorry.

In this short film, we see Syrmor employ a different form of narrative that the audience has yet to see from them. The structure is relatively simple: Syrmor teases what the viewer is supposed to think is the main theme, and then holds the them in front of the audience like an orchestra holds a dramatic fermata. However, the audience is then hit with a theme that dramatically contradicts what the audience previously expected. Because of this narrative structure, I will not be required to expand on several different sub-themes.
Our short film is opened with a modern-day story of a time in which a hard-working person worked harder than they ever had before in order to finally come face to face with their lover. The viewer is presented with short clips of this meeting in order to establish what the anticipated theme is -- people working hard to accomplish their dreams.
Syrmor then forces the audience to apply this theme to the next section, which on the surface is anatomically similar: someone working hard to achieve their dreams. At this point, we witness a sort of emotional fermata in which Syrmor recounts what we are supposed to believe is several fun and interesting moments shared between friends. However, at the end we are presented with the great contradiction. Syrmor recounts how they expected for these characters to be very different, and how they are disappointed that their dream was not reality. Such a phenomenon is not uncommon. There is a such thing as Paris Syndrome, in which tourists develop depression because they believe Paris is a mystical city that is free from any imperfection. However, the reality is that Paris is a decrepit city that is rotting from the inside out.
Tool shares a similar theme in their song titled "Ticks and Leeches". From their "Lateralus" album, we see the perspective not from the disappointed person, but the entity that is itself disappointing. There is a verse that summarizes it clearly: "Hope this is what you wanted / Hope this is what you had in mind / Because this is what you're getting". In the song, this verse is said with obvious aggression. The logical conclusion from combining these themes in the traditional fashion that Syrmor employs is that having dreams or expectations in other people will likely end in disappointment.
It has been a while since the audience has witnessed a short film with an overarching pessimistic theme. I believe that Syrmor is forming some meta-narrative in their filmography in which an equal amount of optimism and pessimism are employed in order to create a duality of sorts that may provide an examination of society.

I went camping with my internet buddies and it was such a cool experience. We go camping once a year now even though we are kinda scattered over the east side of America. This is probably the most wholesome thing on the internet.
These videos always have this just feeling with them. It's heartwarming in a different way, like coming home after being gone for a long time. It's hard to explain but I'm always amazed with how these are put together so,, ah- perfectly. Wholesome, and I think that's what a lot of us need these days. Technology has gotten to where we can meet people from all over the world instantly, and its exactly like you say, you can meet people on things like VR Chat, and spend time with them to the point that its like you were hanging out in real life.
