Many, many years ago, Wolverine was a great company. I am old enough to have lived through the time and seen lots of shoe and boot companies go down in quality of manufacture and materials. It affected all companies. It is a shame things went the way they did. The same happened with automobiles and EVERYTHING manufactured during this time as well. They call it progress. Ha! I am so glad you can come to the rescue and turn these boots into what they SHOULD be from the factory. Yes, at the high price, they should do a better job at Wolverine, AND a lot of other boot makers as well. Great job as always Aaron!! They look AMAZING.
@@IDKline I clearly understand economics. Quality has nothing to do with economics. Inferior processes and materials is a management decision. Does it affect selling price? Absolutely. My point is if you are going to ask premium prices, make it a premium product. At the price point of Wolverine 1000 mile boots, there are many other makers that provide better materials, processes, and are of similar price. Example? Thursday Boots. Made in central America. High quality, good price. They expanded and built a large factory in Mexico recently. Still $199 for their entry level boot. I have a pair. Second time resoled. They are fine.
Awesome build. I really like that you used leather instead of a cork filling. It seems this choice would lead to a better-feeling footbed after some time. I love the 1000-mile boot line and you took this pair to the next level. 😍
Hi, did you put cork in these? I love how easy you made the footboard swap out look!! 😮 Why can't they just come with the leather board!! 😢That's pretty much why the Iron Ranger is killing them. They both are priced about the same, but the quality is not quite equal. And the cap toe, they have a few models with the cap toe, but all of the Rangers have one, so as a boot guy, I would like to vote these as a really great representation of what we should get for our money!!!🎉❤
Nice job! They had some comically low stitch per inch before (two or three per inch maybe?) I'm sure it saves on cost and easier for the craftsman when they keep it low. I imagine it's easier to calibrate and maintain the machines too. I would think the stitch becomes weaker if the SPI is especially low to a certain extent but just spit-balling.
OK awesome, I just left a mile long comment, but can I ask about the cork? Did you put cork back in there? I saw you scrapping it out, but not putting it back in. I might have just missed it. Thanks Willy!!

Oh, man! In all seriousness. They were good looking boots before you started, but I think your resole might have made them the nicest looking pair of boots I've ever seen. The color of the sole compliments the stain you used on the midsole perfectly. Which Dr. Sole are these? Are the little flecks in the rubber, cork? Aaron, amazing work!
Hello Aaron, excellent work as always. The subtle differences separate the amateur from the master. The bad thing is, that the manufacturers of such overpriced products, that visually pretend to be the good product from the old days are not ashamed, but rub their hands for buying so many of this mediocre stuff at such a high price.
They came out perfect Aaron, great job 🙌👏 This is why I would never buy a pair wolverines because of the bad materials they use and way overprice. I’ll stick with Grant Stone 😀🤝

It is disgusting that a $500 pair of boots is so poorly constructed! As usual the upgrades make the boots more user friendly and they look better too. I want a pair just like them.
This the "Aaron Million Mile" now!
Great work brother.
🙏🙏🙏 those boots are actually very uncomfortable with that leather soles they come with, I have a pair of them.
@@AaronG2480 I know I have a pair of 1000 mile cap toe oxford shoes.
But what you did to these was just amazing.
The black and tan combo looks really good.

Like they say,
They don’t make them like before
This is why i buy Thursday boots. Good quality boots for low cost. but one day prices will go up and quality will drop so i get them now.

Beautifully done! You are a master in what you are doing! I enjoyed the video very much!
Thank you so much for watching!
You really knocked it out of the park Aaron!
Nice work. You're absolutely right, for the price, fibre board should be ban. For that money, I would go JK Frontier bison boots...if i can afford it

Stunning and looks so much better than factory! Smart to make the changes while brand new because you'll only need to break them in one time!
Great work Aaron!
Now that looks like a 500 dollar pair of boots !!! Great job!!!
and then some with the upgrades purchase and shipping

6/7 just the same thickness as the manufacturer’s
