Starting to think Steve and Luca are locked in that nurgle room 😂
I know right lol
That’s the narrative that I choose to believe 😂
Steve and Luca, blink twice if you are are locked but can’t say so.
@@Kermitpan lol
@@chad534 next episode he looks straight at the camera and blinks twice lol
54:00 I thought the FAQ said that the full enemy rank counts as base contact when fighting a lance.
It does.
The way I read the difficult terrain thing is that marching allows you to -move- double your movement characteristic, it doesn't double your characteristic. Thus the modifier would apply twice when you march through it. That's at least how I've played it in person and online.
I don't think it tells you which to do first in the book so it could be either.
@@stephenmercerProductions yeah I agree you could read it either way.
This is one of the things GW trusts you to figure out with your opponent, our group plays it the same as OP
Love seeing old world content. I am finding that I am gravitating toward old world more and more from 40K. I haven’t tried aos yet. But old world seems like so much fun.
Try out old world if you get the chance! As long as you play your firsts games with someone who's knowledge about the rules it will be a blast.
Absolutely check it out if you have the time and opportunity!! Though I too recommend having someone confident in the rules to guide you and any friends, it can be a bit overwhelming and frustrating to have to look up a rule after every die roll. 😂
Give it about 5-10 games and it will be a lot more easier to remember and realise a lot of the rules relate to common sense outcomes as well!
I am not 100% sure on the salamander/beast handler things. Personally I read it as any shooting such as fireball or arrow would use the randomisation but templates/cannons would hit whatever they are under rather than randomise.
somthing for luca to remember on his outcast when he rolls a double 1. he has a rule called 'untutored arcanist' so needs to roll extra on a misscast. Doesnt come up often so easy to forget
I forget it all the time too when I play. Easy to do
Love the Old World and love your coverage! Cheers folks.
thanks for the Lizzies content. Looking forward to the Space laser list:)
Ditto! ☀️🦎
i absolutely love the Nurgle Chaos plague/skulls panel room Ideal for Death Guard Army to play hobby game's & allowing Nurgle power's to flow freely & keep up the fantastic good work 👍
empire always dies against my lizardmen. nobody meets Oxyotl, and lives.
They can never escape running ruby ring, it's in every damn list
It’s soooooo good thou. lol
@@connerhurd277but there's no ap on it? It's just 2d6 s4 no ap? Isn't it against chaff and unarmoured stuff okay yeah can clear that out but anything armored and it's kinda shit.
@af17317596 how often do you run into 2+ A saves though?
@@tempy2440 well the people in my group who play have brettonians, empire with knights & steam tank usually, chaos and dwarves. So more often than you might think. And when not 2+ it's 3+
If “space lasers” are bastiladons bring them on, can’t wait to see how they perform 👍
Lizardmen feel so weak... that's sad... how I wish they would let the TOW LM to get the Dread Saurian instead of removing it. Also add a nice Coatl model, just as Bretonnia got some nice models. Well, let's houserule it all here.
Also remember that when unit give ground they stop if they touch difficult terrain and stuff so that slann in the forest at the end was just gonna sit
This is perfect. I'm just starting lizardman army too
This skinkless army is nonsensical.
@@robertchmielecki2580i don't understand why nobody plays them, they are fantastic
@@simoneengelleitner947 They were the first thing I noticed when I saw rules for the Lizardmen - how cheap they are for two poisoned shots per model + speed + flexibility of skirmish formation. Crazy.
Ten of them cost just 60pts, you can have 10 such units for just 600pts (very small footprint, easy to maneuver), a potential of 200 poisoned shots/turn and it's just slightly above 1/4th of an army.
Maybe it’s just playing what you feel like and not worrying about math hammering it out. I’m not trying to be snarky here, just saying that you can play games without going uber optimal.
@@tanen7264 Using no chaff at all isn't "not uber optimal". It robs the game of any depth it has. I am not saying take 100 Skinks for power, it's an exaggerated example. I'm saying don't just take a few slow Saurus blocks that you just mindlessly push forward and roll dice to see how they die. Give yourself a range of options. You need fast chaff and sacrificial units to control the flow of the game and corral opponent's mainline infantry. For Lizardmen it's Skinks.
Wouldn't PEMDAS apply to the Movement/Charge through difficult terrain?
[7 (Move) x 2 (Charge)] - 1 (Difficult) = [14] - 1 = 13?
I think you forgot that the cold one riders all count as being in base contact with the knights which means a ton more attacks into them
Thank god I just liked factory made medieval soldiers when I was a kid. These troops look so dope that I'm sure they would have gotten me fully into the tabletop if I had known about them then 😂
Now I still have some money in my wallet, and I still get to look at them. Though not play with them, hm... maybe I'll still cave some day haha
Thank you for the battle report. I got a question: Does mounts usually benefit from banners? E.g. will the elven steeds in a dragon prince unit get flaming attacks from the blazing banner and armour bane (2) from a razor standard?
Do you guys have guests come in still?
Yup! Check out MiniWarGaming.com/challenge
Those Bretonians look stunning
Really? I hate that they're all just monochrone. I miss the old bretonians with the different colors and different heraldry.
@@Elitecommander0 to each his own :)
What is the rule that Outcast WIzards have when they miscast?
Untutored Arcanist. You roll an extra D6 on the miscast table and discard the highest
Luca forgot to shoot his bowmen in turn one
Wish the lizardmen list was better...
Fantastic!
I miss the old bretonians with the different colors and different heraldry. I hate that they're all just monochrome.
Hey Steve and Luka...... those are some really nice towers you have on the table. We should remind you to use them more often right?
Lizard turn 4 - when you over ran the Trebuchet, would that not have caused Panic tests? From the Paladin , the other trebuchet and the closest archers at least.?
Edit: Like wise Bret turn 4, when the Paladin charged the Saurus and was destroyed, then the 2nd trebuchet was destroyed, no panic tests from the archers?
Warmachines are skirmishers if I remember correctly and skirmishers doesn't cause panic
Lizard bros!
You have to move the fiery convocation d3+1, forgot that every time
Can someone give me a TL;DR on what space lasers are and what a competitive 2000 point lizardmen list looks like?
Post FAQ the only competitive Lizardmen units are Skink Skirmishers, Solar Engine Bastiladons, a hero on a Stegadon or a Oldblood/Scar vet on a Carno.
@@Havok229x Pretty much this. Slann was a very mediocre caster but post FAQ it's hard to justify running him. Army with no access to proper lvl 4 caster is bound to suffer in tournaments.
Our big monsters and skinks are what carry us. I legit think Skink Skirmishers are a contender for best unit in the game.
As a lizardmen fan, I hated this game
The list was just bad 🤷♂️
Have you guys ever played for fun?
