I saw Led Zeppelin in 1968, just before the album was released (I got it in 1969) when I was 19. I was lucky enough to see them 3 times in my youth. Zeppelin, The Who, and Pink Floyd. They don't make music or concerts like that anymore. Tickets for Led Zepplin was $10 dollars. Times have changed
LMAO!!! I thought you guys heard this before!!! What do I know....lol.....NOTHING!!! Yeah i heard this song in 1970 in my friend's home on his turntable ...the vinyl in his room and we were jumping up and down and getting rowdy on the vocals of Robert Plant and Jimmy and Paul and John's drumming...we had a great time!!!
Hard to believe this is their debut album, & they were only together about 2 months. Jimmy Page lead guitarist band founder, produced & mixed this & all their albums, him & manager Peter Grant also funded this album. This album was recorded mixed etc. over 4 days & total of about 30 hours, this whole album is absolutely amazing. Thank you for your reaction, I know you’ve done some other LZ, but everything they do is so great.
That first album still sounds fresh as the day it was spawned. I heard this song maybe 1000 times, and I just noticed that the snare is hit on the off beat at the end. 61 and I just noticed that. Fun stuff.
Thank you for choosing the Album recording to react to. At some point you will enjoy a live recording of it, but you get the full impact on this one, all the instruments, the audio engineering and effects, it's the best !
@boki1693 I prefer the 1969 Danmark tv version and the 1970 Royal Albert Hall version to the 1973 MSG version. Its TOO far removed from the original song. Understandable, as by then they would have been bored playing it as it used to be.
Bought the record because I thought the cover was bitchin'...first day out...took it home to my bro's apartment. We smoked a bit, then dialed it up, and THIS came out of the speakers! Man...life changed.
Everyone needs to listen to this 4 times. Once to focus on the vocals. Then again, to focus on the bass. Then, a 3rd time to focus on the lead guitar. And then a 4th time to focus on the greatest display of drums I have ever heard in any song.
While you have reacted to this track performed by Tool,, BUT,, The original is an absolute MUST HEAR Classic,, Led Zeppelin "No Quarter" (Studio Version First) 🔥❤️🔥
"Dazed and Confused" is a song written by American singer-songwriter Jake Holmes in 1967. Performed in a folk rock-style, he recorded it for his debut album "The Above Ground Sound" of Jake Holmes.
@@joaolucasgomes3033I read on the Internet most recently that Robert Plant had an operation on his throat around 1973 which affected his vocal chords and his performance somewhat afterwards. He did recover however and have some memorable great moments particularly live going forward.
They knew how to record music back then. Everything sounds as if they are right in front of your face! Still my favorite Zeppelin album if that is even allowed to be done!
That sound u hear Susie is a chello bow he uses on his guitar you should see it l8ve Madison Square garden newyork 1973 dazed and confused live it's 28 minutes long u will be blown away 😅
If you search you will find a 42 min. version of this, but the most popular version is probably the 28 min version from The Song Remains The Same concert at MSG.
Suzie - if you liked that descending chromatic part (you sang it at 8:50) you'll love Midnight Oil's "Best of Both Worlds" which I'd recommend anyway because it's an absolute banger. Watch the live version from "Oils on Water".
If you have a spare 30 minutes, check out the live version from Madison Square Garden, (from The Song Remains The Same). You will see Jimmy Page weave his magic with the cello bow. Also, at the time of recording this, Robert Plant and John Bonham were only 20 years of age.
Haha watching you 2 absolute legends react to biffy clyro thus just popped up on me screen ...lovin the hats get to england for a crazy rager.......its oadis year and festival season us upon us.....take a break and fly to the motherland....you wont be disappointed...if youdont ever oarty in the uk in sorry to say but youce never oartied....go on dip your toes in the waters delightful 🤪🤪 big love Maximus T ☮️💜
Fantastico!! Jimmy Page loves Band Maid and I know you guys do as well. Perhaps, maybe, possibly somehow their newest drop ZEN might just be their masterpiece of masterpieces.
Live version 1973 MSG New York will impress you more. Longer and crazy good. Don't watch the movie version though as the live concert version is a better Zep Live experience.
One of the best debut albums ever, they changed music.
Recorded Oct - Dec 1968
The GOATS!!! Absolutely incredible Zeppelin were
Soul of a woman was created below,,,,,,,,,most accurate line ever. 💥💥💥👍🤪
I saw Led Zeppelin perform this song in concert in 1969 and 1970 in Kansas City. It was epic.
Nice stuff, " In my time of dying " will blow you away
Led Zeppelin-often imitated, NEVER duplicated. Greatest Rock Band-G.O.A.T!!
Masterpiece . Every member showed out on this one .
THE GREATEST BAND EVER HANDS DOWN!!!❤😊
Brilliant isn't it? 👏

I was going to comment..... but you said it all for me.👍👍💥🤸♂️🎉🎊😂
@ you’re welcome.
But Page wasn't satisfied with the original sound, and later went back and remastered the entire catalog. This is the remastered version.
And they were all so young, late teens to early 20s
@ in his words, there wasn’t much he needed to remaster.
That first album still sounds fresh as the day it was spawned.

If they ever do it live, please the MSG version and not the earlier version from the 60's.
@boki1693

A live recording would be much longer.
They have to be the greatest rock and roll band of all time!! 🙂🙂
The GOATS! 🤷🏻♂️
Masterpiece
Led Zeppelin, one of many hundreds of things that make me immensely proud to be English.
Love this band since day one the best old school days Thank you Travis and Suzi for playing this Your the best love ya

It's great to listen to LZ when you're high. Lol. You guys are great. Thank you!
Greatest Band Ever!
Excellent!! Off Led Zeppelin's first album. ❤❤❤❤

"Dazed and Confused" is a song written by American singer-songwriter Jake Holmes in 1967. Performed in a folk rock-style, he recorded it for his debut album "The Above Ground Sound" of Jake Holmes.
Zeppelin's version is 90% original though. Including the lyrics.
John,(Bonzo Bohnom ) skipping from 4-4 time to 5-4 time and Jimi Page keeping up, pure musical genius
GOAT!
If this one isn’t their best, then it is damned close.
great reaction, love the looks on her face
Fantastic goat
Can't believe you don't know this. Zeppelin I is essential listening.
Robert Plant was only twenty years old, when this first album came out. Imagine, having a voice like that, at twenty years old!
It's a shame that he didn't take care of his voice and lost some of that power very early on.

@@markacuna2828 you can’t see the long version, unless you watch the movie.
@sicotshit7068 yeah I've been watching since 1976
@@markacuna2828 yes I saw it when it first came out too, it’s sad it’s not on TH-cam anymore, it’s long & absolutely amazing.
Lots of inspiration for next writing session 🤠
❤❤❤Robert ❤❤❤
It still is soooo effing HEAVY! Give much credit to Page who pulled this sound out of the band as the producer!
live version 73 i think. will blow your mind......... lol

Bob is in agony because he hadn't got his lemon squeezed yet lol
So ; everyone was listening to the Beatles singing pop-tunes & Led Zeppelin unleashed THIS upon the World ! 🤣😂🤣🤯🤯🤯
This song is 56 years old. It was released in 1969.
Best lyric - the soul of a woman was created below. You should listen to the live version from Song Remains the Same.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jimmy page had a lot of experience as a session musician and a guitarist with the yardbirds in the 1960's.
They managed to fuse blues with rock and psychedelia. You listen to this tracked stoned.
In my opinion still the best album they did.
Suzie - if you liked that descending chromatic part (you sang it at 8:50) you'll love Midnight Oil's "Best of Both Worlds" which I'd recommend anyway because it's an absolute banger. Watch the live version from "Oils on Water".
🤯
At 450 that's an old early example of call and response 🎉
The BIRTH of ROCK N ROLL❤
Now you have to watch it live from royal Albert hall
Page knew that loud, trippy blues would go over huge. Band made more complex music later on, but never released a better album than the first one.

Jake Holmes did the original, which Jimmy Page heard and appropriated for the Yardbirds. He redid it for his new band's first album.
Yeah and Zeppelin's version is 90% different to be honest.
Fantastico!! Jimmy Page loves Band Maid and I know you guys do as well. Perhaps, maybe, possibly somehow their newest drop ZEN might just be their masterpiece of masterpieces.
Jimmy Page -probably the first one in rock to use a violin bow to use with the guitar, right?
Soul of a woman was created below 😈
How did it take you this long to listen to this classic song?!
This side is to be played to someone that's never heard Led Zepp before!
Louder.
Reaja ao clipe de Numa Ilha de Marina Sena 🏝
Must be tough trying to figure out who is the 2nd best rock band .......cause it ain't hard to figure out #1....LOL
Can react the ESCADA DO PRÉDIO? Please
Live version 1973 MSG New York will impress you more. Longer and crazy good. Don't watch the movie version though as the live concert version is a better Zep Live experience.

The soul of a woman was created below ,Adam's first wife was Lilith who wasn't obedient so god sent her to hell then created eve
sloppy jimmy well being sloppy.
You should listen to the 30 min live version from the song remains the same.
