Lovely satsang. I love M's satsangs although i am not his chela. But i feel a strong connection to Guru M. I also feel a strong connection to Sufi. When i first saw the word Sufi i felt a connection. Perhaps in a past life i was a Sufi.

Beautiful Teaching, and great topic. The influence of Rumi in today's world is in no small part due to his Sufi training. I too have heard that Sufi's were blanket wearers from the desert, and some say they were tied to the ancient Maji tribe associated with the wise men of Christianity. I have always felt that your teachings Guruji have an element of Sufism. The love of the teacher, the detachment of the Self from the mind created reality, but mostly the love and beauty that underpins everything. Listening to your teachings gives rise to such feelings in my heart.

Wow thank you for even touching the subject
My family comes from the Suffi Tariquah line
My parents practice the Suffi teachings and at the time we were in
Apartheid South Africa as kids and felt very very awkward as my
    Roots are from
    Central Asia
    And we are know
As Bukharah Sayyid so if people who know what that means will understand my roots
Now we live in a country where they try to
    Put you in a catorugaory
And for my family we are suppose to live and behave like like these other folks
But my parents were in their homes practicing Suffism
And for me as a child all i wanted was for my parents to be normal
Like not practice Suffism only be practicing basic Islam
They said we are Fakirs you so correct and all I wanted was rich parents
But 50 years later I appreciate all
As I embarked on a journey of spirituality I found
    Suffism
Now I am a humble and weak servant on
    The
    Naquasbandi Order
I love what you said when
You find your yourself you find your
    Lord
That made me more dedicated to follow my
    Master of the
    Naquasbandi Order
    Thank You
May the hidden Suffi always protect You

Sufis wear green colour which is the colour of Anahat chakra. There is a sadhna in Sufism called Chauthe Aasman which means to reach to the Anahata chakra which is the fourth ( chautha) chakra and chakra of bhakti and compassion. Therefore Sufis are the most compassionate yogis.

The last station for Awlia is Baqa or sobriety.
While Sufis over the centuries have developed slightly different formulations of these two terms, a basic sense of fanāʾ is the annihilation of the human selfhood in the sheer presence of God, which is followed by baqāʾ, where the human selfhood returns and subsists.

Is there a way to pin the schools of thoughts that were mentioned in this video on a historical timeline in the order they emerged, propagated and inherited from one anothe? Where does Egyptian civilization's place in the general picture of spiritual traditions growth and development?

Thank you I was wondering about this tradition because I have been listening to the Dream Journey Musicians of Pakistan. They have been helping me to understand how to love God, the Father, Grandsire, Brahma. Like Sri M said, connecting with the guru, Prophet, Messiah helps to bring a person closer to that understanding. The Bauls seem very similar to the Travelers (Sufi) , check out Parvathy Baul, Kabir Project also.

43 minutes. That's the problem, the connection gets lost while stumbling around in the dark. "I" ask is the Connection lost on your side or my side? Learning the connection was ALWAYS lost on MY side, even if it doesn't seem that way at the time.

A translation of a Tinariwen and Kiran Ahluwalia song informed me of the mendicant aspect of Sufism. I was always interested in how the Umma grafted onto the Subcontinent. My current curiosity is the closeness of Gobekli Tepe and Dabiq. The buildings around the site had benches as well. We in the West need to loosen up our understanding of the elements of Islam to better understand the multi-faceted whole.
A time on Twitter had me searching for a unity between the three faiths, and the code of Hammurabi is what arose organically in Modern times. The geometry of writing systems in the Western Tradition started with cuneiform, and Persian and Arabic are important steps. I found several things, which combined to be rather challenging. Islam seems to require decompression from a future perfect tense in metaphorical translation, and Google purchased the Arabic time compression algorithm for Translate. I wound up with (maybe) a Mullah in Iran waiting to chat. I declared in English that Islam is Submission to Nature. Wonder what they read.
I experienced what the Sufis did, in a chemical and experiential sense, last year. Endogenous DMT, the large crystal meo5 kind, began pumping out as a chemical reward system for learning. And "my" people, Jews, gathered around. That 42 years old to learn Zohar, it has some mathematical merit. Suffice it to say that decoding reality for others, with nothing to call my own, is not sitting well with me.

He speaks his words on his own will. Sufism is about discipline and humility. "Dana jab khak me gire gule gulzar bane" means when a seed fall on dust it becomes a lush garden. A sufi has given up on "I" he serves humanity and does not give up to world desires. Sufi does not have anything for himself. Any place under the sky is good for him. If you find a institution which does not collect donations or spend in lavish stay close to them. I am lucky to have found a Murshid. Hope you don't get diverted from true path and follow people who explain their own way as Sufism.
