If I remember correctly, the blocks were 46x46 mm and the light strip in the middle of the block was 10 mm wide.

very nice... How long do you let in soak in the mineral oil?
I soak them about hour - two. Then i will let them dry overnight, and then coating with oil-beeswax mixture.
Do you have any plans for your steel clamping jig?
No, i dont. I just did took some piece of MDF, added wooden edges, and installed bolts and nuts.
