Thanks very much for doing this - I really appreciate the candid review on the AccuPoint! Sadly, it looks like my search for the "perfect" pinpointer continues, and I'll just stick with my carrot in the meantime.,,
I have been looking at the XP MI 4 pinpointer and then it's only $89. Compared to the Garrett Carrot and the Notka Accupoint and I have the Carrot and I have been watching alot of videos of the XP and it's really just sounds better when the Targets are close...
@@carolrice2063 is the XP you're looking at on Amazon? I wouldn't buy one there, too much counterfeit knockoffs. I bought my first pinpointer there and it broke pretty quickly, then Amazon and the "manufacturer" both refused to replace it.
@@scoutingforhistory4584 No not from Amazon but it's from a Local, Long distance from me store, that I bought the Simplex + from and then it's only using 4 tone's for everything and I have dug up Alot more trash than Coins with it and I have also bought the Xterra Pro from them and then it's a totally different Detector and I'm getting more Coins with it and I have eliminated 3 junk Carry bags from my belt and I'm back to enjoying the Search again with the Xterra Pro and " High Plains Prospector " is the Store and I think that they have a TH-cam Channel also but it's still a very long distance from me to go and look and actually I haven't been able to go there and I have friends that I can call on to order whatever I want from them and then it's shipped to them and I can go pick it up and pay them and thanks for the Warning ⚠️ but Amazon isn't where I Shop.....

I've had good luck with mine and Im happy with it. The dual tones for ID have been pretty accurate and the battery life is good. I alternate it with my Carrot and it actually detects a little deeper than the Garrett. I fortunately have not encountered any falsing like some have encountered. Mine came in my Simplex Ultra package. I might not have spent the $150.00 for it but so far it's been great for me.
@@CLEOTISJAMES I use it every hunt now, but it still has its quirks. It's definitely better than the carrot, but the Pulsedive was just a little bit better.
The ground balancing is easy enough, but the bigger issues for me were the disappearing signals (beeps initially then stops) and the iron tone for non-ferrous targets.
I presume you cleared the Bluetooth list on the Legend before trying to pair it. I had problems trying to pair a new set of headphones until I did that. The manual isn't real clear on that. Thanks for the in-depth review 👍
Yes, the manual left a lot to be desired. There was about an hour where the Legend and the Accupoint were both paired to the headphones, but then the Legend suddenly disconnected and wouldn't connect again. Clearing the Bluetooth, factory default, re-pairing were all unsuccessful. I did lots of online searches for what could be wrong but nothing worked. It was three weeks without headphones for the Legend.
@@toddhoffmaster6057 the Accupoint is definitely quirky, I do use it even with the odd things. The Nokta Pulsedive is a good pinpointer, but I really didn't like the Garrett pinpointer.
Bang on! This review is what is needed for real metal detectorists. No Nokta Nomad "Yes men" or so-called "testers". No 'Fan-Boy' brand BS. Just the facts as they be, seen through a clear objective lens. 'Sun-light' is the best remedy. BS baffles lack of brains. Thank you sir: I appreciate it. All the best regards, from me in the UK.
Glad you agree! Most of the big names in detecting on TH-cam are sponsored by one company or another so you have to take their advice with a grain of salt.
I’m not sure if I’d buy one now myself but what made me mad before your test or all the test reviews is they said it would be offered for $85 and it’s now $139.99 everywhere! Now who raised the price the maker or all the wholesale suppliers??!! I have the video with Dilek saying it would be cost effective as one of the best and cheapest pin pointers on the market! And now it’s more than a Garrett Carrot!!
Yep, it was $139 when I bought it, though I never heard how much it was going to be. I was just excited to get a pinpointer that had Bluetooth, but sadly it didn't work well.
You have not got a screen on the nokta pulsedive when using the Nokta Accupoint you are not looking at the screen when the Nokta Accupoint is set up that's it ready to go the bluetooth works a treat i use it with my nox 700 with bluetooth headphones paired my bluetooth box on the nox 700 all in a cracking pointer
Thanks for the feedback, I know some people do like the Accupoint. It paired with the headphones easily, but blocked the Legend from pairing again. If I can only pair one or the other I'm going with the detector. The Pulsedive doesn't have a screen, but it really doesn't need one. There's so many settings on the Accupoint you really do need the screen to make any adjustments.
I’m sure happy I watched your video. I was getting ready to pull the trigger. I value your input thank you 🙏.
Same.
Brilliant start to the new year hope all the family are doing well happy 2024 you legend 👍 👌 😊😊😊
Happy New Year to you and yours as well! Hope you all have a fantastic year ahead!

Thanks! I started with the carrot, but I find the Pulsedive to be much better. Still not perfect, but pretty darn good.

When falsing appears you can ground balance it in the soil.

Not thrilled with it either. Mine faults in the air and also having targets disappear. I was hopeful but let down

I wish that I would have seen this video before I bought my Accupoint back in June. I struggle with mine daily, so I am going back to the Garrett 🥕

Lol, didn't stick around for the summary? I thought about leading off with the positive points and end with the bad, but decided not to.
