Completely underwhelmed. Too much crap on the field, mediocre horn play, too little volume on the horns. For crying out loud, with that many horns the volume should be ear splitting; I do forget however that these are all concert band indoor instruments. One of the main reasons given for switching instruments way back when was intonation and tuning issues with the G bugles, well those issues have not disappeared by switching to indoor instruments - it’s obviously up to the player. Drums sounded like mush to me (never a drummer so my opinion on drums is blah). Now for suggestions: get rid of ALL of the “props” on the field, teach the horn players to open up their throats to put more air into the horns, stop with the no value add recorded voices as they’re distracting and poorly done, turn down the amplified volume on some of the horn solos as they were over-modulated. I could go on, but y’all get my point. And yes I’m a “boomer” and y’all think that’s a pejorative, but it isn’t, it just means I’ve lived more, loved more, seen more, and done more than most of y’all ever will. This show was designed like all the others I’ve seen this year and this, and well as most other shows are uncreative, poorly designed, and are geared toward pleasing the judges more than pleasing the crowd who actually pay the bills. Ask yourselves after two hours what music did they play, and I’d bet 99% wouldn’t have a clue, me included in that 99%. Hell, after five minutes I couldn’t hum a bar of this show. Before beating me up with your inane, butt-hurt comments, think about the show and what I’ve said about it and y’all will find my words to be true.
The horns look up turned because this isn't recorded from press box the props are for visual effect and for people to hide behind it sound crappy because it's a recording it's also beginning of seasons so not evrthing is gonna be perfect.
@@DiP2011 Because I don't study music and I don't recognize the songs because this isn't the type of music I listen to and for God sakes ghis was recorded towards the beginning of the season and its a recording the camera quality may make it sound worse I won't know for sure till August 11th if it sounds good or not when I see in person like a normal person that would talk good/bad would do before they talked about it
