As a life long Cavies fan, this show brings me so much Joy! The first time I saw them live was 98’ on the 50 yard line and they made my head explode! Been hooked ever since. I’ve seen all of the 00’s shows live and it’s something I wouldn’t trade for the world.
I hope they do! It looks right now placement-wise they're struggling to stay in the Top 10, but I hope they can hold off the other corps to be able to perform on finals.

It's an attempt at dodging the license. Albiet it doesn't work all of the time, as I got a copyright strike for the Blue Devils video I posted back in July.

A lot of potential for visuals here. It's the sound / visual tradeoff. You can tell they spent a lot of time on the former. The props look great, but they can do more green colorful stuff for the anniversary and tightening up certainly.
I love me my cavies to death… But let’s be real here. They r 9th. Which isn’t exactly improving on last year. And it’s very fitting. I once complained to my drum instructor in marching band that the drum book was too easy… And what he said to me was “We don’t want to jizz all over the field”! His own words… And he played with BD in the 90s. And now I understand what that meant. Which is why I’m starting to understand why BD wins every fucking year and me hating on them all the time. This is obviously a fan video that doesn’t do the show full justice. But what I’m still hearing is the Cavaliers brass book jizzing themselves all over the field and way way way overdoing it with the brass book complexity while really not bringing anything new to the art other than rehashing the brass book of every show in the 2000s that I so dearly love while not doing it justice. I can’t tell what the fuck is going on and I got a pretty good ear for that shit! Cavaliers brass book writers were like “let’s just throw in everything we had in the last twenty years into a jumbled mess”! That’s what this show feels like. Zero direction and originality. I’m sad. Because I really hoped the cavaliers would come out swinging with a precise show for their 75th anniversary. And instead… 9th feels like just the right place with this mess of a show. I’ve seen a lot of videos so far and none give me hope that they can climb out of ninth to even crack the top five in the remaining 3-4 weeks. Just really disappointed. I’m hoping that a year or two from now while watching the finals show I can maybe appreciate it for what it is. But I’m not holding my breath.
I couldn't disagree more and here is the reason why. I listened to a podcast from the staff members and they explained what they were doing. Clearly you didn't listen to it.
