After receiving a few requests and suggestions on my previously published ukulele cover videos I decided to start making short tutorial videos for few Hindi songs. This is the first of the series. Please subscribe to my channel for more videos and tutorials.

When I first saw your performance on this song I was like finally someone is doing something different ,Its really hard to find good videos of Hindi songs on ukulele. Thanks for the effort and thanks a lot for the tutorial now I can finally learn this song.

Saw this video four or five months ago. Went on to see all of your videos. Then looked up other uke videos on youtube. One thing led to other. Now I have been practicing a baritone ukulele for two months. Ended up here again as I wanted to know the chords of this song.

The last line. 'Tum humko yaad aaoge'. This girl changes 3 chords. And still keeps her strumming intact. I guess ive hit my music plateau for the day. Coz i just cannot play it.

Aditi Ghosh So i watched your video numerous times. Whenever you change C G C ... you strumming is intact. Good. But heres the thing. Your strumming pattern is D U slap U. You play the G when u play the 'slap' strum. So whats the point of doing the chord change in the first place? Im going to post a video of this same song. And ill give u credit in the description for teaching me the strumming pattern. But in my version, ill pause and break the strumming. And play a Down strum on G during the C G C. That way it will sound more beautiful. Ill send u a link when i make the video. And cheers for making such nice vids. :)

I think in my original video recording of the song on TH-cam I have paused the strumming in that part of the song for a different effect. It’s all really very flexible and one can play anyway they prefer. No hard and fast rules :) so cheers to that!

Greetings from Germany. Great video. Just an advice from a newbie, either zoom in on chords or add chord description as a side note on the video itself. It would really help.

Hey Aditi! It was great. I am guitarist and I think this song starts from Fmaj. And the chord progression is different than what you did.
Yashwant Dhole yes it's quite possible. Actually I like to play simplistic as I am no expert, and it tends to depart from original scale a lot of times.
Yashwant Dhole also Fm would work just fine too :) I just checked.
I wish I could learn it, but I have no idea how to say the words ha ha

Hi Shyam. I am sorry I can't help you out here as the only Ukulele I ever bought was this one that I have (Takamine, Soprano). It is not so easily available. You can try to visit a few music stores in your city to strum and see what sounds good and feel good to play. Go for something at least around 3-4k INR as the very cheap ones may sound toy like.
Can i play ths one on yamaha gl1 guitalele 6 string small instrument.?
You could try with these chords. I use chords meant for guitar for many of the songs!
