Good work tater tot. I wanted to ask if the cats will go down the pole? I have a 9” deep wall cabinet (I customized it for the space I have) that I want to have the cats go up but it is brick next to it so I dont really want to install steps there. My other idea are short steps zigzaging back and forth. Do you think this would work there? The top is the perfect cat hang out, I just have to get them there.
Howdy! Cats are great at climbing up but struggle with down, hence the joke about firefighters saving cats in trees. There's some truth to that. With our pole, the cats go up, but nobody goes down it; my desk is till the runway for down. I would recommend a zig-zag path down. They will use it both ways. I hope that helps.
