Kontakt Tutorial: How to Add Fake Legato to Your Instruments

- In this video, I demonstrate two different approaches to adding simulated legato to your Kontakt instruments: SIPS and the Kontakt Factory Unisono-Portamento. In the process, I add new legato patches to the Box Cello sample library I released last week.

It should sound better if you put it into sampler mode instead of DFD. DFD doesn't allow for the Leg Ofst (legato offset) to work unless you do some extra work. If you want it to work with DFD do this:
Load starter script.
Load SIPS-Legato-V205_KR.
Pick legato preset.
Set Leg Ofst mode to “DFD Mode”.
Leave DFD on.
Add S.Mod amount same as sample rate value (44100 for example) to all sustain articulation zones - select all zones, edit S. Mod of visible one, then go to gear icon → to all selected zones → “copy current start-mod settings” to copy that S. Mod amount to every zone.

Is there an easy way to make a ui button to bypass the SIPS legato script if you want an instrument to be able to toggle between legato / polyphonic? I know how to make the button but not how to make it interact with scripts rather than effects.

I have Jaeger by Audio imperia that has a very cool vocals it has legatos and sustained but in legatos u can't pitch it up and in the sustains u can so I'm gonna try this

Great video! Do you know how to make "The Trumpet" from Samplemodeling from monophonic to polyphonic instrument? I don't know if it's very complicated or possible at all, but i was looking on the net how this could be done and i couldn't find anything exactly about it.
You could sample The Trumpet and turn it into a sampled kontakt instrument which would automatically allow it to become Polyphonic in Kontakt

just wondering why in Kontakt 7 this SIPS legato script doesn't work, it seems that all variables are not declared using $ symbol, also the character ' seems that has to be changed into " and also import command does not work althought I have copied the additional scripts to be imported in the same relative path where I have put the starter and the legato script. same issue with SIPS 151 and 205. Also applied scripts and resaved instruments, the re-opened just to be sure. What Am I doing wrong ?
hello, I was wondering if you have any tutorial on how to make a transition like: I have a guitar loop ok? so when i change from one chord to another i wanted this loop not to start from the beginning again i wanted this loop to continue where it left off understood? like how the loops of that guitar called Scarbee Funk Guitarist work you play the loop there when you change the chord it does not start from the beginning of the loop again it continues where it left off from the loop got it friend?
I just applied these legato scripts to the Kontakt factory legacy woodwinds. wow! way better!
