Cardwell - North Queensland

Cardwell is the only town on the Bruce Highway between Townsville and Cairns in north Queensland that is located on the coast.
It is protected from the Coral Sea by both Hinchinbrook Island and Hinchinbrook Channel.
And is noted, not for its glorious beaches, but for its muddy foreshore and its crocodiles, sharks and box jellyfish - particularly during the summer months.
