- Thousands of people born and raised in Pakistan are being forced to uproot their lives - to go to Afghanistan, a country they've never known.
After decades of hosting Afghan refugees, the Pakistani government says it's making them leave because they pose a security threat.
Around 600,000 have moved back to Afghanistan.
Pakistani government policy has been criticised by rights groups for months.
Now, Human Rights Watch is going after the UN's Refugee Agency, accusing the UNHCR of complicity in the alleged abuse.

These Afghas are Good , we help them personally , but now Pakistan cannot afford them due to internal security and unrent etc. They also found in drug trafficking and transport weapons from boarders to our cities. Which again lead us to more insecurity. Furthermore, Still too many people living in Quetta and Karachi. They are living without documents + they do not have sufficient proof that they are Pakistani citizens. Therefore, they should go back. We wish them best of luck !
The Afghan government has been the recipient of billions of dollars of aid, grants and other assistance since 2003. If it wants to break out of the Pakistani orbit and cozy up with India, what else do you expect? If it wants to chart it's independent foreign policy and play big-boy geopolitics, then start by taking care of your own people.

epoche10 I am from Pune, India, there are many Afghanistani students here for MBA, Engineering, Ph.D.'s (A simple web check will prove my comment is true or not) there very good actually, they are curious, polite, respectful towards Indians( regardless what their religion) , so if we help them get educated enough so they can run their own country(Afghanistan) So there won't be refugee situation, even if the situation in Pakistan worsen we will welcome them with open arms.. As a human I feel really bad for their loss. I mean they will probably have a much worse life in Afghanistan. but politically speaking Pakistan has done a great job by giving them shelter for 40 years. and also they should not go back to Afghanistan but to USA and Russia. who have been the reason of their country disaster.

Many Afghans are employed.
Further hundreds of Afghans come to India for education, police and military training and medical treatment ( for injuries suffered due to terrorist attacks by Taliban which has got Pakistan support).
Even ex president Hamid karzai studied in shimla, India.
So Afghans are most welcome in India.

I am Pakistani and i have feel of those Afghan refugees. The problem is on one hand we are bearing this burden and other hand we are being blamed us not doing enough. I really like Afghan minister being more realistic and wish that my Pakistan support Afghanistan absorb their people.

Come on guys. We should not uproot these people like this. Specially the ones that were born in Pakistan. They are Pakistani too. I understand that Afghanistan back stabbed us with India but we are better than this. Just because there were a few terrorists doesn't mean they are all bad. Our issue is with the Afghan government, not the people. However, we still host 1.5 million refugees. Hopefully this will send a strong message to the Afghan government to stop exporting India sponsored terrorism to Pakistan.

The first thing that I would like to say is india doesn't promote terrorism and provides training to Afghan soilders to fight Taliban not to bomb pakistan or anything else. Afghans basically like indians due to their hatred for pakistan for supporting Taliban and also india has invested about 3billion$ in infrastructure in Afghan.
Also, the influence of bollywood and other things play a role.

Pakistan has not given shelter to 30 lakhs Afghan people free of cost. Pakistan has monopolised the exports of wheat and other necessities in afghan markets charging 5 times higher than the actual market price.
For sheltering afghan refugees Pakistan has also been getting international aid.
So nothing was done for free by Pakistan .

Dr. Zaid Wani With due respects sir when the Pakistani Army and isi murdered 30 lakhs Bangladeshis and Raped 4 lakh Bangladeshi women in 1971 Bangladeshi Freedom movement, India had 12 lakh Bangladeshi refugees in India's territory. India had given shelter to them for more than 5 years without any form of international aid.
In 1600 A. D. When parsi community was thrown out of Persia ( now Iran), India open heartedly accepted them and now parsi community is one of the most successful communities in India.
So sighting India's past record of sheltering refugees, I welcome your suggestion that India should give refugee to afghans.
By the way India is already providing training to afghan women, youth and children by skill development, security training, police training, administrative Training, in Afghanistan and in india. Example Right now a batch of 20 afghan women are trained in army training center in Delhi.
India is also constructing roads, airports, dams ( salma dam), power generation, building schools and even Afghan Parliament is built by India. India has committed 3 billion $ to Afghanistan reconstruction, health and social development. India is also providing wheat and other food items through chabahar port of Iran to Afghanistan.
So I welcome your suggestion of India as a place for those refugees.
