    I switched out my stock fan to a 5015 and it works and looks great. It’s quieter as well, and blows air from two sides as opposed to just one. The stock fan also turned into a dust trap within a few months of printing, even in an enclosure and was annoying to clean

    Noob question... is there any reason I shouldn't print like 5 or 6 of these items all in one print? Some stuff I want to print all in PLA, and then there's a few things I want to try out in Nylon. Thanks so much man, this is exactly the type of "useful" or at least "semi-useful" stuff I wanted to work on, after my first calibration prints.

    • @kilisinovic
      @kilisinovic ปีที่แล้ว

      I just bought the printer myself(a month ago) and from what I can tell regarding the multiple part printing is that you can print more than one part at the same time at maybe slight cost of print quality(stringing when nozzle is moving from part to part). You can use option to print "one at the time"(in cura) but printing it one by one gives you more control over the process. I wanted to print some stuff multiple at once and so far my experience of doing that, compared to printing it one by one, has not been pleasant. If objects are too high you can't set that print executes piece by piece which means that if something fails you need to discard the entire print. Other than that I've noticed that printing multiple parts at once is for some reason more prone to warping(not by much but if I don't leave enough clearance for connections I end up needing to sand it down).

    • @remthompson
      @remthompson 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The biggest reason you may be cautious about loading the print bed with parts is to avoid print failure. The more parts you have loaded up, the more risk in the event of print failure. The other issue is time.In some cases you can have less print time overall by printing separately.
      Being said, when filming prints for content, I also print one part at a time

    @JK-qs4xi ปีที่แล้ว +13

    In my opinion the best way to upgrade the ender 3 S1 pro is to install klipper and get rid of the awful software on the touch screen/printer. Even though it removes the touch screen feature:/
    But it is inspiring to see these upgrades, great video

    • @pinecrustjuise

      could you explain why this is worth the time? is it just to improve the UI?

    • @JK-qs4xi
      @JK-qs4xi ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pinecrustjuise i can get input shaping that gets rid of ringing at fast speed, I can get pressure advance that smoothes corners and makes them square even at really fast speed. I get more control, and the abl works way better than the stock firmware on the S1. But down to it, it's not worth it if you can't live without the touchscreen, but I can upload files from my local network which is really nice, stop and start prints without going to the printer, having s webcam with a self hosted "obico" server makes the print stop if there is a fail. Stuff like this makes it worth it in my opinion:)

    It's obvious you made an effort in this video, there are some subjective video production choices made.
    Sound mixing.. it seems like you maxed out the levels.
    Background music, too much, too loud over voice track.
    Choice of music, reminds me of those slide shows of people building their cars that no one watches. Your audience will be alienated from it, it's stressful to watch with the music on personally, I am not looking for a "chill out weed video".
    If you were unboxing from new, you could had covered initial setup of the printer, such as bed tramming, auto levelling, choice in filament, as your subject matter is clearly for the first time buyer of 3d printer or people looking for tips.
    That's my "critical feedback" instead of telling you its "no good and poop".

    Came from Scott Yu-Jans new video expecting something really good.. disappointed to have wasted 6 min watching a cheap bootleg impersonation. I know imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but can't help but be really annoyed at how blatantly this rips off his videos, even down to using music from literally the same producer. It's ok to be inspired by something but art and the creative process involves taking multiple different ideas and combining them to synthesize new ones, as well as improving on the ideas that are already out there. This video does neither. Scott is being a nice person by shouting you out instead of bashing you but he's clearly reacting more to how much of a ripoff this video is rather than the actual quality of it. My advice would be to find your own style, which can only come from you. Don't just copy a formula that worked for someone else. That formula worked for that person because it was a genuine reflection of their creative sensibilities and personality (quirky personalization, marking printers birthday, music, editing style + sound effects). Find your own voice, channel your own personality and create videos that reflect that. This may be harsh criticism but I genuinely hope you can use it to improve your future videos.
