Lovely video Adam. At the 4min Mark, it really looks like you’re using a mannequin head; never seen such a clean and perfect hairline around the ear and nape!
I know it may be boring to some but could you show us how you section the hair so neat when setting up the cut in your future videos? 👍🏼🙏🏼

Hi Adam I’m yet to find anyone who can or will cut my hair correctly. They all refuse to section n I refuse to have my hair razored or sheared or thinned out. So discouraging we need more of you everywhere

You are correct about the fact most salon stylists do not listen to you, but just do as they want. I have had more than my share of bad haircuts at the salon. I am definitely fortunate as I have been having my husband cut my hair for me since we first met. He does the full sectioning and lets my long thick hair down in increments to trim each layer to match the guide below. He would never use thinning shears or a razor on my hair as he knows it causes damage, he does not own either. My best friend watched him trim my hair and said, I’m next as he finished my hair. One afternoon my neighbor who is a hairdresser walked over to visit while I was getting my hair trimmed. She watched him intently as he let my hair down and trimmed each layer, she commented that he was not taking off very much and that my hair was quite thick, and it really needs to be thinned out. At that moment, I was thankful that it was my guy who was trimming my hair., and not my neighbor as she would have cut off more than I wanted and reached for a razor or thinning shears and started thinning out my hair without asking. So perhaps you could have your guy watch this and a couple other videos by real professionals, get the good hair shears, combs and hair clips and have him trim your hair for you. I would not recommend anything drastic, just have him give you a 1/2” or less minimal trim to learn the process.

Such a shame, as looking at your profile pic you’re hair is amazing and should not be feared by a professional hairstylist. I for one wouldn’t turn you away and would be privileged to work with hot like yours. If you’re in the UK let me know.

@@kerihatgirl8990 that’s wonderful you got it just like you like!!! I can n do section my own hair because only we know exactly how our hair behaves n I’m all for straight blunt lines n I spend days sometimes fixing the whole front section because I’m a spaz
I can’t cut the back tho n apparently neither can anyone else. Omg so frustrating how people go to school n can’t figure out that curly wavy hair needs to be wet, pulled n cut straight n even on both sides. Not rocket science but it seems to be the case in that hairdressers think that scissoring n just randomly grabbing hair wherever they want does NOT make for any sort of good cut like ever! I’m glad I’m not alone in my frustration

My husband always cuts my hair dry. The same when he cuts my mom’s hair and my best friend’s hair as well. He just has them make sure it is clean and dry. He did give a haircut to a friend a couple years ago that had curly hair, he cut her hair dry, in sections, and he held her hair straight up and at 90 degrees, so she would not have the Christmas tree effect. He held the curls out so the hair was straight but not pulled tight. Curls are very forgiving as they can change after the next time you wash your hair and look different. Her hair was very full and I assured her that he would never tear her hair up with thinning shears or a razor. He knows that would make hair frizz terribly. While I know my hair is thick, my husband gave a friend a haircut that is Chinese. She not only had hair that was full, but the individual hair shafts he said were thicker as well. A coworker of hers told her to put her hair in ponytail at the front of her head and saw through it. My husband talked her out of doing that as it would be an uneven mess. He told her he would cut it for her if she promised not to do the ponytail hack. She liked the results and so did her boyfriend.

Nothing worse than not being happy with cut, sigh. Realistically, of course I know there is but since this is a haircut video it’s applicable. I even shared one of your videos to show her what I wanted days before the appointment. She got the color right but the cut, oh my. Too short to even correct. Would love to have you cut my hair Adam. You’re so super talented, stellar level I’d say. ✨💫

This was fantastic! I loved it. The base colour you used, is that a permenant colour? How does 10 vol cover greys? All my trainers have told me only 20 vol covers greys. Also, the one time I used permenant colour for the base, it was a 1:1.5 mixing ratio so by the time I got to weaving, the hair was stuck together and hard to weave. Any suggestions on avoiding that?
