these guys came to play at my house one time and they ate all my fruit, left banana peels all over my house and beat my ass at smash. absolutely awful experience
My favourite part of a Standards concert is when Marcos just plays his switch for an hour and complains about fox mains. (thanks for coming to Canada Standards. great concert)
Less is more, but less people means each person can do more; less chance of stepping on each others toes, more freedom to do what you feel in the moment:)
It's interesting to see how this drummer plays the previous drummers' parts. Marcus (the guitarist and brainchild of Standards) has been through several drummers and each one has his/her own flair that is so cool to listen to and watch!
I miss the previous drummer. My favorite drummer for standards out of any of the line ups but this dude rocks for sure. Seems more metal or hard rock influenced than the previous dudes jazzy style. Glad it always seems to work out when they need a drummer!
new drummer? Well, at least this guy can match up to Marcos... *hair-wise* !! 😂 I discovered these guys on spotify about 6 months ago, and I haven't gone a day without listening to them since then. I feel like I've fallen in love with music all over again. There's so much amazing, upbeat jazzy math rock, dreamy lo-fi guitar-driven bedroom electro-pop, and " *FUSION* " artists that are shape-shifting the most wild combinations of styles into incredibly beautiful music today. I had no idea music could feel this positive while still being emotionally sincere, and somehow still fun and interesting enough to listen to on repeat. Thank you standards for helping guide me out of the depths of depressing post-rock, sludge, doom and prog... and into feeling happy from music again! 😁 Here's some more good stuff to check out if you're into standards 😊😋 : ben rosett, kevin j dill, strawberry girls, pretty cute, eternity forever, kurt travis, catbamboo, chon, covet, floral, portraits, polyphia, toe, stage kids, monobody, bobbing, ichika nito, owane, regressor, jack gardiner, ando san, sungazer, rotem sivan, wowflower, kyle mcevoy, richard houghten, brock berrigan, kazuki izogai, waxamillion, umi, wolfy, tycho, syncatto, the breathing effect, unprocessed, monster rally, ferris, andres, enluv, edbl, men i trust, tokyo tea room, parcels, sea in the sky, michael lessard, good tiger, uhhh that's probably enough for now 🤟
i feel like the new drummer has more chops. i mean hes nasty as fuck and not to say the old drummer wasnt AMAZING but this dude is like eric moore or tony royster jr.
I remember seeing these guys at programme years ago back when marcos was still playing with jacob on the drums. Happy to see how far he's gone. Keep shredding dude.
They killed this sesh, holllyy. Love everything Moises brings to the table & he's just as good as Forest, which is actually fucking crazy. The audio mix was perfect too, good shit ya'll.
awesomeee i love seeing bands grow and eventually ending up on Audiotree Live. Chon, Elephant Gym, Delta Sleep, and now Standards. i liked this faster version of pineapple. also i wish Totorro would play at audiotree someday lol
"Whenever you're ready guys, take it away." The guys put down their instruments, fly to the Caribbean and return two weeks later, finally ready to play.
Marco's has so many chops you would think he was running a butcher and popa beat is defiantly the best drummer so far standards are defiantly gonna blow up soon if thares any justice in the world this is an unbelievable performance!
Im curious, is there a bass track being played ? Maybe its just my sub being weird, but the bass frequencies are huge and I can't tell if its the drums, a bass or what
Been listening to these guys since 2018, seen em live, bought their stuff on bandcamp (tab books and music). Love em to death. That said, this past album (and even the EP before) are both sooo mid. Its a shame. Compare the most recent work to the Friends EP, or even some of the best songs on Fruit Island (Nap comes to mind), and the quality of songs is not even close on the new records. I seriously hope Marcos slows down and focuses on writing good songs again instead of rushing out a new ep/album every year.... saying this completely out of love. See you guys on tour this fall.
same here, been a standards fan since the first EP and nothing will ever top the first two EPs. Specifically went to see them live recently because of playing through those EPs. Love Marcos and wish the best for him, but selfishly miss the old music. But if this is his new musical route and it brings in new listeners then that’s great!
oO Fruit Town is my favorite. Awesome production, really chill and recallable melodies, lots of synths which adds depth to the songs. I really hope they keep this wave :p

standard behaviour from these guys
staying on brand

marco's can empty my fruit bowl any day!
I love how for some reason smash is part of math rock culture lol
Just two incredible musicians musicianing all over the place
Less is more, but less people means each person can do more; less chance of stepping on each others toes, more freedom to do what you feel in the moment:)
Hey check it out casperr
Drummer weaving fills and grooves so smooth. Tons of talent with these two
I don't know how it's possible for a drummer to sound so tight and yet sloppy at the same time.
Both of these dudes are amazing musicians.

Moises comes from a military and jazz background! Hey definitely smashes
He's still in the band he's on their 2 recent singles that just dropped! Love his playing
Once chatted with Marcos and the guys from Floral before a show in San Antonio in early 2020. Really approachable and fun people. Great memory.

Saw these guys at the Warsaw in Brooklyn last year with Strawberry Girls and Plini. They KILLED IT.
Going to be watching from Ireland. Hope to see you play here in 2024, Standards! 💜
Love me Standards I try to catch them every time they swing thru NY. Super hyped on this , thanks Marco, Popa Beat and Audiotree Live!
Yooooo! This has been a long time coming! Hello from the uk!
I always thought the host looked like the singer of Pixel Grip and now I know it is her! So cool!
audio tree been serving the heat lately
Incredible playing from the two.
At 3:38 I can't believe they cut away from the drummer just as he started playing some absolutely insane fills haha
they truly set the standard... just wow on this performance
Absolutely loved the slightly sped up version of Pineapple. 🎉
This is like nothing I've heard before but also like so much that I've heard before at the same time, and it's just beautiful.
Moises popa is such a beast ass drummer.
Love from Jakarta, Indonesia ❤❤❤ 🇮🇩🇮🇩
Somehow, These guys make me want to dance and practice at the same time

Wow amazing. Love the gold capo too haha. I like this live version of cloudberry than the studio version.
"Whenever you're ready guys, take it away."

Come to Brazil! 🇧🇷
Wow, they sound JUST like the white stripes
I’M SO HAPPY, I LOVE STANDARDS
This is like the craziest shit I've ever heard. How am I just hearing them now?! It's unreal. Also the hostess has really good abs, she's jacked
Yeah!!
So hyped to see them here💪
Great to see and hear they're still Smashing it
Was there at atg seeing you guys, hope to see you in uk again soon
You make life sweeter guys ! Thank you
Totally reminds me of Covet and Animals as Leaders.

Oh sweet, the guitarist has that funky thumb just like Regi Wooten. What a cool style!
Would have been cool to see Moises at any point during his solo in Smile 😅

You could play a Güira on The song Pineapple.
Im curious, is there a bass track being played ? Maybe its just my sub being weird, but the bass frequencies are huge and I can't tell if its the drums, a bass or what
He has a signal splitter where one signal goes into an octaver and straight into a bass amp.
@@RacoonCH Thanks was wondering about that. My subwoofer was going nuts their whole set and it made no sense
11:38 ̶P̶i̶n̶e̶a̶p̶p̶l̶e̶ Holy F.
Woah it's been so long. Who remembers when Audiotree used to be really good

It's so incredible how a band can be so technical, while also catchy, and yet have no vocals.
