I love your dress and appreciate that you dressed festively for the video! I was looking at some other videos where the host did not even bother to create a holiday theme. Thank you for the inspiration!!
UK retro for us this year or 70s,80s,90s so foil metallic bunting across the ceilings and hanging fold out decorations from the ceiling like stars etc. Smallfoam present shaped tree baubles/orniments and the disco coloured coneball baubles. If you're uk then you know lol. Just need to find multi colour christmas tree lights that have😅 pink in the mix. And tinsel! God i cant wait. It'll be like my childhood, simple and nostalgic ❤
Great content Oksana! I noticed how you easily transformed your beautiful couch from cottage to a winter look with the pillows. I have 2 trees, 1 is traditional & the other is white with hot pink feathered flamingos bc we're in South FL. Everyone loves it. I know this is when you really work your magic. Can't wait for more inspo!😘🦩🌲
I do retro every year, Half of my glass ornaments are from the 60's and 70's they are what my parents used on our tree, sadly some have broken over time so I replace them and I add new ones that are similar in design. I even have my dads Nativity which is a family heirloom and is about 100 years old that goes underneath on of my trees just like my dad did each year. I can't be bothered with trends I just try to recreate my childhood Christmas, it was a much happier time
I’m so glad you put together the products list! I love tinsel on trees, but I know it is not environmentally friendly. The dangling crystal ornaments, although not environmentally friendly per se, are at least not one time use! I’m going to try them. I’m not sure if I want to go with the full count of 80, but I might! As per years in the past, I’m going with my Hallmark ornaments “theme” of ones I have bought, received, or inherited! But this year the tree will sparkle with “ice”
I love seeing all the trends! I've been into a deep red (burgundy?) so will continue with that and add green. So mostly traditional in colours but for decor I like little scenes of woodland animals. I may try some plaid/tartan this year if I can find one that works.
Spot on with all these trend projections. I also feel like bows are having a major moment. Like not the wide, floofy ones with wire we’re used to seeing. Just the slim, unwired simply tied ribbon bows
Thanks for the video. I'm going with gold, copper, bronze, brass, green and jewel tones of the green tree. The silver Evergleam tree will have the vintage decor
i'm doing high contrast a.k.a. black and white theme Christmas tree for my newborn baby who will be two months by the time Christmas comes this year. might add the crystals you mentioned
There’s no wrong or nasty way to decorate a Christmas tree! Personally, I love the traditional settings for my tree and home. Anything other than that just doesn’t appeal to me. Christmas is whatever you want it to be. It’s your home, it’s your tree. Happy Holidays and May the New Year bring you good health, love and happiness!
You are so beautiful, and give very accurate, and informative information 👍🏻 We will be going with the retro theme this year as it will really give the Christmas comfort, and classic feel we enjoy for this beautiful time of year.
I’ve been a subscriber for two years 😊 Always enjoy the variety of ideas and trends! I’m planning to be simple and not too much of all the red! I’m loving the velvet green thin ribbon on swags and wreaths with a touch of red berries My tree is from Balsam Hill not putting much on it this year Thank you for some inspiration, too 😊
I love everything Christmas ( except those garish blow up lawn things ), all the different beautiful colors and ribbons and glass and sparkle, some take my breath away. Having said that, when it comes to my decorating I'm a total traditionalist, it's red and green, silver and gold touches, evergreen wreaths and multi colored lights. 😅 To each their own right? 😂
Personally. I much prefer natural materials to decorate for Christmas, instead of all the gaudy stuff the shops are selling now. It just looks cheap and nasty..
Yes. I only use glass ornaments most of them are made in Europe and some mercury glass ornaments from India. They have excellent quality and I protect and tuck them away nicely wrapped to use them every year. Glass reflects the light naturally and the tree looks very vibrant and realistic although I use artificial Fraser fur tree.
I'm laughing because so many of my Christmas trees in the past are considered retro now. I've done the pink and the candy and still do the nature and a small aluminum with vintage glass ornaments. This year I'll just be doing my wrapping paper in the metals and gem colors; copper, silver, gold with tourmaline and emerald.
It's always traditional colours at my place, though every year I add something fancy to the mix. Red, green, gold and sparkly makes makes my soul very happy.
I am strongly convinced that popularity of retro is caused by millenials. 95% of milenials use social media so it's almost every millenial. Millenials now are getting married or got freshly married and are starting family. They remind themself of their of childhood in the 90' and they want to bring back typical style of Christmas decor from that time
I am definitely decorating Retro Christmas this year! I want to get back to simpler times with the world 🌎 in such turmoil. Peace on earth! 🙏🏼🎄
I do this every year I have all the decorations my parents used when I was a child back in the 70's
I'm sure it will look so cozy and festive!❤️

I love retro Christmas! Merry Christmas from the US!🎄❤️
I plan to go retro in our game room, metallics in the living room and natural (hopefully relaxing) in the guest room. Love it all!!!
I love how you're using different themes in different rooms of your house!🎄

@WendyBones it really was. That kind of decoration holds such fond memories for me ☺️
Eco-friendly - repurpose your old ornaments with chalk paint, glitter, cover them in fabric… Also love Oksana’s paper ornaments.
Love your ideas!😍

Agree! Velvet ribbons and elegant bows used like ornaments are so trendy right now!🙌🏼
I love the crystal glam!! That’s soo me!
Love the classic decor and trees
My style is usually traditional but I may decorate in mostly glittery gold and red with white lights. Great video.
Thank you for sharing🎄❤

There are 8 trees waiting to be decorated , and they all will be different and in different rooms
How exciting!🎄
