- STEVE MASSEY and Piran Films visited Frome on a research mission, following Helston Athletic's recent promotion to the Southern League Div 1. It was the final play off decider for promotion to the Southern Premier League between Frome Town and Bristol Manor Farm

What an advert for non league football, I was there and it was absolutely packed for a bank holiday Monday and spot on coverage again as always.

If Frome happen to reach the FA Cup round 1 the BBC or ITV are going to want better camera positions than they seem capable of providing! Entertaining commentary, again, Steve!
Frome’s stands have pillars making for a restricted view. The BBC would build their temporary scaffold towers and operate a drone. Steve and I like to film more informally from the touchline at times which please our TH-cam audience but probably frustrates the purist.
Hope you get to do more of these, you captured the atmosphere of what its like at this level. Great stuff

Yes he is brilliant. He knows, loves and breathes the game. The perfect man to front Piran Films. I love the humour and his quirky observations. An authority on the game.
How come the BMF keeper is kitted out in pretty much the same as the Frome team? Were the officials not interested or, was there no change kit for him on the day?

No idea what the match ahead will result in but, I'm backing Frome. Not a football thing; greatly admire Jensen Button.
