    imagine tumbling down a hill in a roll of barbed wire
    except in this analogy the hill is your enemy's face
    and also you are wearing appropriate protection from the barbs
    this is a bad analogy

      so you're wearing a thick cotton gambeson, wrapped in barbed wire, and the enemies have no such protection.

    Man. The conversation about his therapist was cool. I have actually seen a lot of people be ardent about how streamers shouldn't be used as free therapists because it's just too much weight to lift for them, and here jorbs is talking about how he notices things his therapist does that he can employ? That's just really cool. It speaks volumes about his character. Helping people with their problems isn't an emotionally free thing to do, and the fact that he's willing to do it for his community anyway is WAY cool

      Playing risk of rain 2, a bit of a "kill everything" type of game I came at a point when gathering powerups that the entire map died by looking at one enemy.(a big shot fired launching procs that are based on the damage dealt(so ok with auto attacks for example but not for a big nuke). Every enemy killed launches blades, killing others, those blades again launch the first procs that are based on that damage and at the same time the thing that just died cascades the blades that spawn on every kill which spawns...)
      Great IRL I guess but in gaming it just gets boring :p.

    Influencing conversation: Agree that you are an influencer. My knowledge of COVID comes primarily from Jorbs and Jeff Hoogland because I don't watch any media, but watch games. Both of you are extremely kind and responsible and talk about staying inside and making life easier for others. Thanks for influencing in a positive and common sense way!

  • @teppec
    @teppec 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Out of curiosity, when does alchemize start to become a pick for you? Only if it's upgraded? I would have thought in a situation where you can't gain more gold that alchemize increases in value. Just not enough to disrupt the flow of your current deck?

    • @Jorbs
      @Jorbs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      alchemize is weird, one thing is that if you want to be able to lock specific potions because there are a couple of fights you're particularly bad at it can be bad to be cycling a potion. but it's a somewhat strong effect, especially if you're good enough at hallway fights to save potions in them, so.... it's weird and complicated.

    "Just say the news" isn't necessarily simple. Deciding if something is newsworthy is a judgement. And making it digestible/giving it context so it makes sense is a thing. And that ignores the reality of funding.

    I feel Americans love of coffee is a little lesser than Australia, partially because the general coffee quality seems to be substantially worse. According to some stats I googled, 84% of Australians go to a cafe to buy a coffee once a week. And roughly one in four Aussies have at least one coffee a day.

      For me it's the super laid back and relaxing feel. I like that he doesn't feel the need to fill space by talking needlessly. His personality is quieter and sarcastic, and the deadpan delivery is funny. His reaction to chat seems to be sarcastic to be funny, it doesn't sound or look like anger at all. Obviously this is just my opinion, but I think a lot of people share it.

      You're not wrong about any of that, but I think the appeal is the problem solving aspect. Jorbs solves the problems the game throws at him as effectively as possible and there is simple comfort in that.
