It’s not out of the realm of believability, as you pointed out, but it’s also telling on the whole that the proportion of light to dark skin tones of the real world inspiration is not reflected in the games’ version of them.

They had Multiple Chances to Bring characters from other regions to another Archon quest and never took it. Yanfei never appeared in Fontaine but Mona did just to tell people she was from Mondstatd not Fontaine. Lisa never appeared in the Sumeru Archon Quest. Bennett Likely Won't in Natlan.

But, they have no choice but to believe because Quetzalcoatl's twin brother Xolotl is the God of Misfortune. Not just that Xolotl is also the God of Fire, Lightning, and Monstrosities. I believe Murata is also gonna be based on Phenex. A phoenix lives up to 300-500 yrs, dies, and rebirth. Meaning there's a possibility Murata doesn't exist yet in the game. Because she died 500 yrs ago and she's about to rebirth when we arrive in Natlan. Then Murata's brother swooped in cursed the people of Murata and became the new Archon. Because even Vennessa didn't know who Murata was.
Bennett's origins aside, I just hope that Natlan is like adding all the environmental hazards in Inazuma together at once. The sheer hostility of Inazuma is what made exploring it fun (I know I'm in the minority on that).

I don't fall into the "Bennett is the pyro archon!" camp. It would be really interesting if that was the case, not because of Bennett, but because we could have a story where the Traveler actaively seeks to place someone on the archon "throne," which is something we haven't done. We've had three replacement archons. It'd be nice to focus on a different story.

Honestly, that girl is moderately tanned, at best. I've got cousins with a bigger difference in skin tone than her and Bennett. Like, I've literally told a North Indian friend of mine that I'm light skinned for a South Indian, and he scoffed because my off-yellow tone is a lot darker than his, until I pointed out that my dad is roughly the same color as our 2 dark mahogany South Indian friends at the table, and he/they are by far the more common skin time for people from that region.

This might be a bit far fetched, but what if Iansan was Bennett’s mother? I feel like for a race of dragons, and the long ears, Iansan could hail from a more ancient race. Kinda like Nahida in terms of their appearance, child-like body, hundreds (maybe thousands in Iansan’s case) of years old.
Dude. Bennett might just be from a More fair Skinned Natlan people. Hoyo in all their Character designs have NEVER reused the same Eye and Hair Combination and Colors for 2 Characters unless they are related Siblings.
Bennett was born unlucky, since his birth falls on February 29th (once a leap year) So his original parents were probably the perpetrators of the curse. The curse was probably so bad with them that they died on the spot. Honestly, I wouldn't mind a story quest where Bennett went to Natlan, lost his bad luck, and was extremely happy about it. However, decided to return to Mondstadt because that's where all of his friends are. Asking the traveller "even if things won't go will, is it wrong to want to be with the ones you care about". Pull on the traveller's heart strings before leaving. Wind represents freedom usually in terms of Genshin and the archons to their correlating elements. Perhaps there's a reason why the Marre Javari become less free due to the Pyro Archon's grip on its citizens. I doubt it would be a Inazuma 2.0.
Well, the people of Natlan having a taboo when it comes to leaving the nation is quite interesting. Wish the Saurian event gave more but, alas, excuses were made. Here’s a guess: (Put in mind that I’m not very familiar with the lore) The winds. Maybe they came from Venti? Wasn’t the person who found Bennett a Mondstadt adventurer? Maybe the wind was a guide to Bennett. Or the other way around, the winds tried to keep Bennett in the Mare Jivari to not let him be found. Though it’s just a guess.
Actually, I would find a difference in skin color in Teyvat neigh impossible, considering people can travel without super strict borders and speak the same language. HOWEVER, Nathan indeed is an exception. If you would find people of different skin tones in a greater number, it'd be there.

This might be a bit far fetched, but what if Iansan was Bennett’s mother? I feel like for a race of dragons, and the long ears, Iansan could hail from a more ancient race. Kinda like Nahida in terms of their appearance, child-like body, hundreds (maybe thousands in Iansan’s case) of years old.
