Hi Peter, great video of a great loco, I bought this same model from Hatton’s a few months ago, it is one of the best liveries Bachmann produce in my opinion, I also bought a roof fan unit for it from Bachmann spares, it fits in the loco via 4 self tapping screws supplied with the fan unit, there is a 2 pin connector on the pcb board to fit the fan motor wires, once I fitted my Legoman sound decoder the loco really came to life, the engine lights and the working roof fans are very good indeed, I’m very happy with it and would recommended it all day long, I got mine in Hatton’s great sale, thanks for sharing.
I really don't know how the Accurascale class 55 won The Hornby Magazine Award given all the issues that was reported on TH-cam yet the Bachmann class 47 is spot on and runs well out the box and sound great.
I'm going out on a limb to say that this 47 is the best one of your fleet of the class. Also it is in one of my favourite liveries. Stay safe and best regards Gary.
Brilliant review of this locomotive peter, I absolutely love locomotives with embellishments on them, bachmanns new 47 is fantastic and this one just looks fantastic in its railfreight livery, I would definitely be up for getting one in the future, I’m also the same with the new 37 that bachmann brought out. Didn’t know that this 47 had been exported and I didn’t know that 47s were locomotives that were exported.
I was a secondman at Tinsley in the seventies, So when TMC had this loco for £227 sound fitted plus weathered well I had too didnt I? Ps that young lady in the field should be facing the other way! We sometimes had ladies flash to us locomen at Dore and Totley tunnel just above the entrance good days gone forever.
Great video peter, iv just replaced the pcb on my older Bachmann 47 from 2007 after accidentally breaking one of the pins 😢 working well again now. I bought the new pcb from Bachmann spares £25 inc pp 😊

My class 47 don't work it did work but not any more
Is it Hornby or Bachmann? Either way get in touch with the manufacturers about a repair. Their repair services are great
