Cobra fairways are tremendous, I have a radspeed standard and it is quite superb. Had a F6 prior which was also great.

Got to agree, my 5wd Radspeed is by far my favourite club in the bag, consistent 240-250yd fairway finder

Im playing those ZX7 mk 1 irons. Got an almost new set 4-PW FOR €530! Best golf related money I've ever spent!

I love my cobra fairway woods just replaced my rad speed 3 to the newer dark speed 3 wood, they are so good for the money.
(wish i had my radspeed back, the crown had a defect and cracked)

ZX5 irons are amazing and when it comes to wedges Cleveland are the best value for performance by a country mile!

Huge fan of Srixon/Cleveland and Hideki Matsuyama. Also a fan of Ernie Els who also uses Srixon/Cleveland/XXIO. I currently play the Srixon ZX4 MKII irons.

I picked up a Srixon Zx5 because the deal was too good to pass up. I prefer it over my Ping. It’s a great driver.

I game a set similar to Hideki, so it was cool to know what the tools are capable of in the hands of a master. When I am playing well i can put down a 70s round and that feels so so far away from that guy haha.

Currently have the Radspeed Big Tour 3 wood in the bag and it is a GOD SEND! I would've grabbed a 5 wood as well if I didn't find a GT3 with a tour AD shaft for $200 on facebook marketplace 🤣

If I was in the hunt I'd definitely check Srixon out. So under valued in the second hand market

I picked up a zx5 mkII driver on eBay for £70 not long ago. Great driver and longer than my ping g425 sft.
Just need to find a shaft i like for it 👍

Just switched back to my Bridgestone blades from 1994 and guess what? I can hit the 3i because it is 24° and the gapping is no longer 15y it's 10

Have you ever tried the i201 irons? They have a reputation for being the best feeling irons Srixon ever made.

    Question about the wedges:
You mentioned only have 2 wedges (+ a set PW im assuming, so 3 total)
What do you recommend average golfers replace that wedge with? Another hybrid or wood at tge top end of the bag? So Maybe D,3W,5W, 3h,4h? Thoughts?

    • @SASGolf
      @SASGolf  12 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +2

      Thanks for question mate,
Yeah 2 wedges plus the Pw from your set.
Too be honest depends on the golfer, but 5 wood is good club if you haven’t got one. That being said typically for most golfers I don’t even recommend having 14 clubs as it’s not necessary as they normally have two clubs in there that do the same job. 5 wood 3 hybrid etc.
90mph 7 iron swing speed plus then 14 clubs are necessary.

I havent had a wedge fitting ...but i do play ping i 230s 5-pw ....pw is 45 degree .....i carry 3 wedges a 48 degree sm9 volkey ( with all the bounce available) a 52 degree sm9 volkey ( max bounce as well) and a ping gorge 56 degree ....i hardly ever use the 56 ....no sand on my home course ...and that and if i am over a green with a massive down slope to land it on and try and stop it ....i do most of my chipping with my 52 ....i have always hit wedges ...even chips higher than most ....and at 47 i dont have the speed anymore to need a 58 or 60 ....i mean full swing my 56 goes about 58 yards .....hit my 52 ...80 yards and my 48 100 ......am i wrong for not carrying a 58 or 60?

For him, it's his skill and the sticks do not matter; Nicklaus played the incredibly awful McGregor clubs his entire career. Also 3 wedges, 50, 54, and 58 or something close to it; you need that gap wedge.

    • @paulmcgee1867

@@paulmcgee1867 While your statement is correct it is also highly misleading. McGregor's 59 wins were mostly in the early years of golf as in before 1960, then take into account of those 59 wins Jack has 18, nearly 1/3. By the 70s Jack was heavily involved in the designing of them in an effort to get them up to speed, they had 4 wins that decade. I stand by my statement.
