I just got a pair of Timbs. I normally wear size 10 but had to size down to 8.5 for the boot. My heel is still slipping, how the hell do you prevent this? Makes the boot very uncomfortable when walking.

I have had a pair of these for 3 years now, worn them well in hopes of breaking them in, even went on a 9 hour hike in them (I know you shouldn’t but I wasn’t prepared) anyway, they rubbed my skin raw on my ankles and still rub my feet today, tried them with all different kinds of socks, tried all methods of breaking them in and even tried wearing the laces different, still rub my back of my ankles like mad
Found any solutions yet other than extra thick socks?
