I randomly saw him acting this scene on TV, and I was fascinated by his acting skills. Then I searched about him on youtube. Now, I just can’t stop watching his dramas and clips of him. He always shows his various emotions in his films. I’ve never been crushed someone so crazy like him before in my life. His acting skills are amazing!!!
For this series he became the Excellence price! Ji Chang Wook is a verry amazing actor an high skilled. I saw him in other dramas too and I'm impressed from his acting or musical qualitys in Anarasumanara - The sound of magic.
Why is everyone saying that Togon killed yang's father. He didn't kill him. Even if he said the truth all of them would have died. Even if the father had been released he would still have ended up dying all because of that guy who pulled out his eyes ears and tongue ( he is the real killer) even yang acknowledged that in the episode she was casting the second empress out. What Togon did was lie and that lie actually saved all of them.

Very , very good actors , very good movie . Yang ,empress Ki ,plays very well,great ❤Ji Chang Wook is gorgeous .❤❤ This role.. The flawed character from playful innocence ,the fear of death and maturity that captures him best show the true quality of the actors.
Seung Nyang understands that they are both victim of Yeon Chul and eventually realized that instead of hating Ta Hwan for his betrayal, she went on to Yeon Chul's clan. Ta Hwan was weak and couldn't stand for himself not until Seung Nyang helped and encouraged him. Also, I don't think it's Ta Hwan fault that Seung Nyang's father died, Yom Byung Soo took out her father's eyes, cut his ears and more importantly his tongue. Those things would definitely result to death, it was just a matter of time.
I consider this drama as the greatest Korean Historical drama. Everyone played their role to their best especially my favorite actress... Ha Ji Won! My compliments to the writers, director and also to the musics which are all beautiful. In fact, I listen to the ost album everyday.
So this is where Emperor Toghon got his extreme nightmares from. All of what Nyang said to him will still haunt him in the future. Blaming him for his father's death, choosing Wang Yu over him, and even her failed plan of killing him. After all this years, he just hid the pain it caused him but still he could never forget it. Fearing one day his Nyang will do everything she said to him that day, he got delusional and devastated. How unfortunate of him to feel that way. It must have hurt him so much. And so for the later part of this series, that everytime this severe nightmares and hallucinations attacks Emperor Toghon, you will notice that Empress Ki cries and felt guilty. Maybe she suspects that what she had told him a long time ago had probably caused him this nightmares. I feel like I want to cry thinking the pain of Emperor might have felt but still hid it anyway. Huhuhu. I don't feel like Nyang regrets what she had told him but I do feel it also, she's sincerely want to compensate that by staying in his side and take care of him until the end of their lives. It's still debatable on who is truly the great love of Nyang between the Emperor and the King. But it is agreeable to all, we can't deny it. Emperor Toghon has the greatest love of them all.
Wang Yu offered his life for Nyang to live. Difference is Wang Yu's priority is gis people. Toghon' s priority is his love for Nyang. I think Tal Tal also cares for Nyang, too
@bell198000 that's so true. He would willingly give up everything for her. People are saying that he is selfish while he decided to burden the pain and he didn't want to show ki that pain. I guess she got to realize this when he had his nightmares and he wouldn't tell her. I think she fell for him way before he fell for her the only difference is that the love was clouded by pain and hatred once her father died. His love is truly exceptional. He stood by her in all she did and supported her. Maybe he did that as a way to repay her for saving his life and staying by his side. But anyway even he would willingly die for her too.

@@thek564 According to actual history, Ki never had any lover and she and Toghon had 3 children together, boring real stuff 😂 But this is drama, and JCW looks absolutely stunningly handsome as Toghon, makes all the difference here 😂 his portrayal of a lovelorn emperor is simply outstanding 👍 the more I see him loving Sangnyang the way he did, I think he deserves better from her. Sometimes she’s so cold towards him. But of course she truly loved him but it’s just she was never very vocal about her affection and all he wanted was to hear her saying she loved him.

I guess she got to realize this when he had his nightmares and he wouldn't tell her. I think she fell for him way before he fell for her the only difference is that the love was clouded by pain and hatred once her father died. His love is truly exceptional. He stood by her in all she did and supported her. Maybe he did that as a way to repay her for saving his life and staying by his side. But anyway even he would willingly die for her too.

But this is drama, and JCW looks absolutely stunningly handsome as Toghon, makes all the difference here 😂 his portrayal of a lovelorn emperor is simply outstanding 👍 the more I see him loving Sangnyang the way he did, I think he deserves better from her. Sometimes she’s so cold towards him. But of course she truly loved him but it’s just she was never very vocal about her affection and all he wanted was to hear her saying she loved him.
