Actually watching the show I realised... Gwi probably wanted to control and to have power over humans because of his first love. He didn’t have control over her reaction, how she ran away from him. He was hurt, because she ran away, scared of him. He wanted to prove all humans were as weak as his first love, but at the same time he also wanted someone who would prove him wrong so badly. He doesn’t dare to admit that he is in love out loud because he is afraid that his heart will be shattered again. And the last scene were the underground palace was bombed and light flooded in... it was like he was waiting for someone to kill him for a long time, to end the pain in his heart.

Actually watching the show I realised... Gwi probably wanted to control and to have power over humans because of his first love. He didn’t have control over her reaction, how she ran away from him. He was hurt, because she ran away, scared of him. He wanted to prove all humans were as weak as his first love, but at the same time he also wanted someone who would prove him wrong so badly. He doesn’t dare to admit that he is in love out loud because he is afraid that his heart will be shattered again. And the last scene were the underground palace was bombed and light flooded in... it was like he was waiting for someone to kill him for a long time, to end the pain in his heart.

It's tragic actualy, gwi finally found out loving hye ryeong at the end of episode and also poor him. He accidentaly killed the girl he loved. After 120 years. He loves someone again. That ironic love another man 😞 he is the evil, but i shipped them together. Hopefully really hope there will be a season 2.
