Thats what the Timer cap is for this way you know if you opened it because the Timer reset so you set the time like 12 or 24 hours then it will beep you open it and bam the time resets when closed and the only thing you need to worry about it the watch battery in it

If you think someone is having a stroke, call 911 immediately. At my ER, we have 3 hours from the time the stroke started to try to stop it, some bigger hospitals have more time, but not much more. I can't tell you how many patients I've had who came in, family said, "well, it started yesterday, but we thought it would just get better." Not much we can do to stop it then. I've seen people who can't move their right arm and leg at all when they arrive, to starting to show signs of movement before I take them to the ICU. It's one of the most amazing changes I've seen. The only one's I can think of that are faster is someone who is completely out of it because of low blood sugar waking up and coming to what seems like almost instantly after getting glucose, and someone who is turning blue and not breathing due to an overdose on heroin coming back after getting Narcan.

Doesn't matter which side you lie them on most of the time, just do which is easiest for you. Unless they're pregnant, or have injuries on one side etc - if you have a choice, then sure right side to elevate the heart but it's not crucial

  • @Necrikus

I really can relate to Miles on that. I take medication to manage a condition that causes a lot of pain if I do any kind of activity whatsoever, meaning that when I'm doing absolutely nothing, the pain goes away. So when I'm not doing anything, I'll forget to take my pills before doing anything, and when the pain starts up, I often have to wonder if I already took them earlier or not.
Speaking of which, I should probably take them right now.

Miles had half of the perfect system. This video gave me an idea
I keep my meds and a glass of water on my nightstand. The bottles go on top of my phone, right side up. When I wake up, I turn off my alarm and take my meds, and then place the bottle upside down.
I've stopped forgetting to take them and I've stopped losing track of IF I've taken them.
Thank you Miles and everyone who worked on this

I take Adderall for A.D.D. too I know exactly what you mean. My problem wither the pill planer is that I will try and use it and then the only problem is that what if I took the pill out of the bottle by mistake instead of the planner? Then I look at the pill planner, I see that a pill is still there for that day and then I accidentally double dose.

I walk out my apartment door and by the time I get in my car I will have completely have forgotten whether or not I took my pill (of course I know whether or I not I have 45 minutes to an hour later when the Adderall kicks in). But still, I have never related to an RTAA so much in my entire life.

When you samed so hard at Miles's story. Like literally the only solution I came up with when I was taking long release pills was putting them next to the sugar so that when I make my tea in the morning (bc it's 100% sure that I'm having tea in the morning even if I'm running late) I see them when I take out the sugar and remember to take them. Once I'm done, meds go back in cabinet bc sugar next to meds go in cabinet.
But now I'm on short release meds so I have to magically remember to take them/when I took them so I can remember when to take them next. At least now there's less of an issue with side effects when I take them late ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don't know why, but Gavin's story about the dude landing in the Recovery Position reminds me of the death animation from Halo CE. Where Master Chief would always land in a specific position. Even during a fall, he would land face-down, get up, do a spin, and land in his death pose that is almost like the Recovery Position (except not at all).

I do the same thing with adderall, as soon as I wake up in the morning I take it and then set a 30 minute timer on my phone and when it goes off I screenshot the time. It's been the most helpful way personally with forgetting if I took my meds or not. It makes me feel elderly tbh.

  • @imaloony8
    @imaloony8 7 ปีที่แล้ว

I've said it before, but the recovery position is a real thing. You only use it if the person is unconscious, but has a pulse and is breathing, and if you have to leave them (to go find help). The idea is to make sure that they're on their side and won't fall over in case they vomit or something. Would be pretty bad if they vomited while they were lying on their back.

Gus, the recovery position is a real thing. Go take a course on how to do basic first aid, please.
Also, if someone is having a stroke, the best thing to do is call 911 immediately, note when and perhaps even what smptoms they are having (like, ask the people if they can smile and say their names etc., look up some more details on those). Make sure they can't hurt themselves, e.g. by falling and splitting their skulls open and....yeah, just make sure they stay alive and well until the ambulance comes. Don't just "do nothing" and don't try to drive them to the hospital yourself.
Seriously guys, knowing even the basics can potentially save someone's lives.

I have the same issue as Miles sometimes with my medication. I would forget whether or not I've just taken it and try to think back. I would then try deciding "well do I take it now in case I didn't earlier or do I not take it in case I did?" And either end up just fine, one extra, or without one for the day. I typically would take it though. It's thyroid medicine and I think it would be safer to just take it and remember better tomorrow.

Miles and I share the same problem, we both can't remember if we took are ADHD pills

I've had more or less the same pill predicament, but it usually ended with me subconsciously grabbing either ADD meds rather than sleeping meds at night or vice versa in the morning

i had the same problem at night, thats the reason i bought a organizer that holds your pills for each day of the week, so when that day is empty you know you took them....unless of course your miles, and you loose the organizer

Omg I do the exact same thing with my adhd medication. I came up with the same system too lol. Didn't work, more than once I was afraid I had overdosed and would go into cardiac arrest.

The great thing about technology, for me personally, is that there are several apps that are pill reminders and that keep track if you did or did not take your medication because I could never remember if I took my medication or not. Now that I have the app I got I haven't missed a pill.

capsules in aluminium seals are easy to track; just pop them in a specific sequence. pills in canisters are terribly hard to track, so I just set an alarm for them and not turn it off until i take the meds.
