Another recommendation for food on the cover but set in a real place: Sin du Jour, a novella series by Matt Wallace. It's urban fantasy, but leans on the mundane side of fantasy, as it follows a restaurant who serves the supernatural and also serves the supernatural. It's brilliant. For haunted house I thoroughly recommend House of Leaves, it's the most unique reading experience I've ever had, definitely falls under a mixed media book too, and while it is difficult to say what genre it falls under it's not a fantasy but does lean horror. Not yet sure what books I'll read for this as I'm doing my own challenge (to read my oldest books as I've owned them) but I'm excited for it! Hopefully I can "double dip" and read more
So many good recommendations! Thank you, Kirsty!
Thank you!
