Greetings from Scotland! Just when you think you have heard everything Diana can do - you realise you have not! 😊 Diana is a very complex singer with many facets to her abilities. Brandon "gets" Diana, he understands her abilities 100%.

In interview with Alexander Stepin (Александр Степин), the musical composer of the beautiful dual language song for Diana called "La Vague" (ВОЛНА) said:-
"At rehearsals, Diana is very restrained. She is generally a human of few words, with her own story inside, so for me it is not always easy for me to work with her.
Well, now it has become easier for me, because I began to understand her better. She has one feature that surprised me and even delighted me.
Here she is just singing this song. Well, she sings, she sings well. And then she says: "I was singing without emotions. Am I to sing with emotion now?"
I say: "well of course!" And she switches on some kind of toggle inside her, and I am pressed by her emotions into a chair.
What she does at this moment and how she does it, I do not know."

Georgian-born Brandon (Bessarion) is the composer of this song and all the others he has made with Diana (except Wonderful World). He is a serious mentor to DIana who both facilitates and promotes her, so showcasing her talent and increasing her opportunities. He wrote both the lyrics and the tune. Wrote it especially for Diana to sing and stage her developing higher register. He also made the arrangement, set the score, conducted the orchestra and band, and likely played the keyboards on the musical backing track. He is a songwriter- composer of over a thousand songs, a multi-instrumentalist, a jazz musician and singer, and music entrepreneur with his own recording studio and a music promoter who has worked in both Germany, in the USA and in Russia where he has settled. Brandon has his own band and tours as their lead and frontman. Diana first perfomed with Brandon and his entire band on stage after he wrote the song for her (the first of several) 'As Your Voice', when she was sixteen. When the audio/video came out, I wanted a duet between the two... and here they are: Diana and Brandon performed the song 'The Day When You...' at the main New Year's concert on December 17, 2023 at the MTC Live hall. I've never heard duet partners whose voices fit together as well as Diana and Brandon. The two voices sound incredibly good together... pure harmony... magic!

* Brandon Stone (stage name), *1980 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, composer, lyricist and arranger. Brandon is also a professional jazz pianist and a top-notch producer.
His musical life began at the age of 3 with piano lessons. In 1997 he began studying jazz pianism at the music academy 'Hans Eisler' in Berlin/ Germany (he lived there with his parents). After twenty years in Germany and a few years in the USA, he now lives in Russia with his wife and two children.
Brandon Stone prefers an interesting mix of styles both as a composer and as a singer (jazz/soul/pop). Diana is growing up fast. 20 years old doing big things. Baikal is a song. Why? Original, it's in a Major motion picture that came out last year in Russia, she is underwater for most of the video, has cut scenes from the movie. Diana plays the Spirit of the Lake and the voice of one of the main character's deceased Mother. It's a full blown high dollar production. Great song too. Tribal and epic.
Brandon Stone is a well-known singer, lyricist, and pianist. He composed many of Diana Ankudinova's originals, including this one. She had previously recorded this piece solo last year. That version is on her youtube site. She has performed on stage with his band before, even when she was 16. She most recently sang this song solo last month in concert with the band "DA". Brandon Stone has worked for many years with Diana, the have two duets (including this one), he mostly composes and sometimes he writes songs for her, "The day you..." was written and composed by Brandon for Diana, she sings the original version solo and you can find it on every music platform, you can also listen to it on her channel she has a lyric video uploaded for the song.
As for the "Sensuality" that you detected on this song, Diana has such a vast range in her vocal abilities that she can literally do whatever the song demands from her, she is a vocal chameleon and she can enclose any feeling that each song requires.
Their "Side by Side" duet is really very good as well and underappreciated in my opinion. But, yeah Baikal is a must!

One of my favorites by her is from the "Show Mask Go On" entitled "Oh' It's Not Yet Evening" th-cam.com/video/cfTiQkJrLi0/w-d-xo.html. It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song.
I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.

If you remember back when you did the reaction to can't help falling in love you also stayed and watched all of the comments from the judges you remember talking about the comments about there are no good hands for her to be in and you talked about that and as you know she chose to go independent which truly made a lot of people mad however the Russian music industry is different than ours and when you sign with them you're signing with the government and when you do sign with them they have total control of who you are or who you're going to be with and what you're style is going to be Diane chose to be individual one being the fact that she wanted her family in with her career her mother has pushed and helped her in every way possible over and beyond and Diana wanted that to stay Brandon Stone has been a extremely positive influence and mentor in her career he has written songs for her and he has produced songs for her they have a long friendship within their family with Brandon and he knows her capabilities far better than most and he knows how to challenge her and she trusts him sorry this is so long I just wanted to put that out there so you would know a little bit more about Brandon and then possibly think back to the comments from can't help falling in Love from the judges her choice was to stand true to her family because they helped her guide her to who she is today and one last little comment we should never forget the magic sentence that started it all. I know you like Diana like me ,but I have another Russian phenom, although her sounds are quite different than Diana she is an amazing singer,, She went to a music university and was the leader of her folk choir,, , She is trained and sings in the folk, rap, indie, pop, and other genres and her name is Miravi,, she is somewhere around 25 years old, but this song is a good starting point.
