Matt, your editing has evolved considerably well over the years. I love your panning shots as well as more refelective pauses on objects that allow the viewer to absorb the atmosphere!
Thank you! I have a huge love for filmmaking above and beyond just the travel series here. I am happy to see that it shows thru and is improving over the years! It makes me feel good to see your comment. Thanks, I needed that more than you may ever know.
The one with the gun shot holes is a zinc, or white bronze marker. Because they are metal, they retain their detail through the years. That one is a beauty ❤
Hi Matt - Such a beautiful and historical place! My nephew told me about how beautiful it is in Indiana. He lived near Ft. Wayne. He passed away a couple of weeks ago and I regret not going there to visit with him. Thank you for sharing!
I am so sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you and your family. I'd be happy to take some photos of the gravesite for free and privately if needed. Send me the info via email if desired. I am sure you probably have living family already in the area, but I am close by if needed.
@@539Productions Thank you so much Matt. He and his wife decided on cremation and plan on a memorial later on here in Arizona where his sisters and the rest of us live. Really appreciate the kind words and offer.
Loved the grave yard, sad though that the stones are broken and laying down, the Wolfgang tree marker was beautiful and interesting and so was the re carved headstone. It didn't look like anyone has visited there in a long time , except you. The lavender flower's were pretty. I love the way you have your hair styled, it looks cool 😎, thanks for sharing another great video, have a blessed Sunday 😇
You find so many mason jars in cemeteries because people use them as vessels to put flowers on graves. Especially old cemeteries. They are considered historical artifacts and are not to be removed.

Felt a bit of the creepy at first. I also heard something too it was the wind?. I think. And lastly, I can't even pretend to know what those bumps in the road were for. Maybe they were used for space markers, like to tell where to go, for example " as you get to the third set of bumps, it will be to the very end to the right." I hope to find out I'm curious as ever now. Thanks for sharing Matt, and stay safe out there. 🙂👍
Mason jars in the old days often had a date as to year they were pressed into the bottom exterior of the glass. 03 meant 1903, 21 meant 1921. 89 meant 1889. An easy way to date. Some had a month added ahead of the year too. Good luck in finding them.
It's my absolute favorite cemetery 🎉 the stream behind it is also amazing. The concert flat stones were for carriages to come up into the cemetery 😊. There is a legend of a blind school being there also but I don't know how true that is. It is known to be haunted.
I really wish they could have moved away from making markers out of it. Unfortunately I know it was cheaper for many and there wasn't much choice. Thanks for the info, Mary!
I'm not too worried about the non plastic stuff. Glass is natural and will degrade, plus a lot of it is historic. It may represent trash but I think after so long trash is just anthropology. I try my best to collect what I can along the way, but I am sure I don't do the best job.
Hard to say, but could be quite a few different situations that have played out over a long time. Every little bit ads up after a few hundred years unfortunately.
one day old infant.? In other words it was still born. My mom had still born twins. They never buried them. They lived in the country so my dad just tossed them in a creek to despos of them.

Eerie graveyard, with some stunning scenery .happy travels matt.😊
Thank you, Karen! The whole area has a very interesting, eerie feeling to it. It's hard to escape it, whatever "it" is.

The metal markers are among my favorites!

Loved the tour you do a wonderful job explaining all about what you see.
Thank you, Barbara! It's good to know that it translates, sometimes I don't know if I am being confusing or informative. I appreciate the feedback!
Great video. Thanks for sharing. We think you have found your groove again. Keep well and safe. God bless you! Chris and Dave
Matt there could be spirits right next to you and you would not know it, I believe they are always walking with us, but in another dimension
Thanks Matt 😊

I never take historic trash. Only modern plastics.
I know 😉 I watch your channel and you are responsible. I was putting that out there for people who may not know.
Thanks Matt"
I like your videos 🎉

Amazing cemetery and video
Thank you so much, Sherron!
I would guess those mason jars were used as vases to hold flowers to decorate the graves.
I would be inclined to agree with you. I believe that you are most likely correct. Either that or moonshine!
Hi there ! Nice to see you back again! I’ve missed you ( I’m in the U.K.) 👩🦳👍
The head stone that looks like logs means he was a woodsman
Thank you for the awesome new video Matt🪦

The place definitely had a strange feeling to it. Probably the wind but hard to say, it's a very interesting area.
most of the times bumps in the road are there to reduce the speed of your car

Thanks, I will make it a point to take a look next time and see if I can find the year!

Hmm, I will have to return and see if I can see any signs of the school! Thanks for letting me know!
They may be putting flower arrangements in those jars.
Sounds like a good possibility to me! I always loved the look of bell jars.
Indiana limestone typically dissolves on the surface after 100 years. Very soft stone.

You pick up the hand sanitizer but not the bottle or broken glass.

@539Productions Thanks for all you do Matt. 🙂
in some cultures the glass brougt to the cemetery is meant to stay there, you are not allowed to remove it, it is an artefact
@@539Productions "Glass is natural and will degrade" in about 4000 years
There could be a old bottle dump
Where is this?
Hey, matt, you resemble a very Young Jimmy carter.....former democratic president.....
Wolfgang is Deutsch.... German
But you sound like senator Lindsey graham of south Carolina.... 😆
Well I always said I'd rather look good than sound stupid lol
Why people destroy everything?

I feel like this may just be trolling, I hope you aren't serious. That is sad if true, but I'd def want to hear the story.
