The fireworks are always amazing - it is winter now, colder down south more so than Queensland - day time average temps are approx 21°C - though it did rain somewhat on the night and delayed the 7 pm fireworks show. Then held out until after the 8pm closing finale - we are lucky to live nearby, we came home after the 6 pm show to change and grab our brollies. It was an amazing night as always. Yes, each year, the 1st weekend in June - it is amazing. If you plan on visiting, May-July would be best - lots of events on at these times. You would see the Blues on Broadbeach, SeaFire and the Airshow. All amazing - if you then hung around until Octoner, the Groundwater Country Music Festival is on. Lots to do and see here in Australia. You may need 12 months dear friend. Hahahaha. Have an amazing week.
