    Butter 1lb soften
    Sugar 3 cups
    Eggs 6 ( room temperature)
    Vanilla extract 1/2 tbsp
    Lemon extract 2tsp
    Sour cream 1cup (room temperature)
    Cake flour 3 cup sifted
    B.P 1/4 tsp ( since his cake flour is homemade he didn't add it to his recipe but you should add if you have regular cake flour).

      He says 325 for hr..but that's alot of batter so I would say 1hr 15min or 1hr 30 mins. ( check in between. Ever oven is different)He also let it sit 15 after he took out of oven..

    Hello this cake looks amazing. I played this video several times a week and I tried to wait until you did an upside video on how the cake turned out before I baked it. Well I could not wait any longer so I mixed and put the cake in the oven minutes ago. I hope it comes out looking as delicious as yours did. You have an audience so please please Eric don’t leave us hanging waiting for updates.
    Ok the cake is done and it is delicious. FYI, I did not use cake flour, I used White Lilly Soft Winter Wheat All purpose flour. It worked great. Thanks again for the recipe, it is greatly appreciated.

    The cake Flour is the difference. Most use all purpose which is heavier

    I really think you should try using a tube pan for better results.Gotta love the Kitchenaid...
    Top it off with a simple lemon glaze...

    I make a sour cream pound cake also,but I only put three sticks of unsalted butter and I add 1/3 c of Crisco oil so it won't be so dry.but I will make it like miss betty thank you for shareing the recipe Eric.

    Eric, that is how my Mother baked and cook food. She would always add something to the batter or to the food she was preparing.

    I have found that if you separate the eggs and whip the whites and add them at at the end. It makes a lighter crumb.

      I as a Southern Grandmother who learned to cook from Scratch, found if test your cake in a little sample pan just a little for taste,moisture, and weight (lightness) along with the temp.setting to inform the public some Stove settings may need a little adjustment and make the proper rack.Someone new may find this very helpful. But if you FOLLOWING someone instructions and they have people wanting their cake and will pay even they're not asking for pay.DON'T DEVIATE TO THE PUBLIC VIEWING.JUST FOLLOW THRU AND BY ALL MEANS BE READY TO SHARE A SLICE AS IF WE ARE THERE WTH YOU.     Carolyn smith I hope Eric videos stay on TH-cam because I was looking for the CPS butter cookie recipe and saw his videos. I attended Fenger High School and remember those delicious butter cookies. Wished I had came across his great videos years ago Thank You!

    Hi Mr. Brown I Think Mexico 🇲🇽 Vanilla Is The BEST I Went To Mexico With My Husband And Brought Their vanilla When I Got Back To N.Y State I Put Pure Mexico Vanilla in My Baking Items Oh My God I Can Tasted The different In My Cakes Cookies etc. it Was delicious I Had To Order From Mexico Again Yes It Cost Me More Money But I Didn't Care When I Was in Mexico I Brought it For A Lot Less More 💵 💵💶💶💶 Money 💰

    Hi Eric, I appreciate you effort , I make sour cream cakes from my mother and grand mother, we used unsalted butter, plain flour one fourth teas baking soda,16 oz of sour cream one half teas vanilla, pinch of salt not tryna sound negative because you sound like a great guy.good luck.

    I made a 7-up cake yday with all-purpose flour for the first time it 's delicious but I had a few flaws getting it out the pan, I would have loved to have seen how you got the cake out the pan without flaws

      you can spray it with some Pam baking spray or flour your pan with butter and flour but make sure you dump all the flour out so your cake wont be white and let it cool completely.

      I USE A CAST IRON BUNDT CAKE PAN TO BAKE ALL MY CAKES. TO PREVENT MY CAKES FROM STICKING TO MY PAN, I HAVE TO COAT MY PAN WITH BUTTERED CRISCO AND ALSO A THIN LAYER OF SPRAYED BAKER'S JOY. I REFRIGERATE THE PAN OVERNIGHT SO THE OIL CAN GET INTO THE CAST IRON PAN'S SIDES AND BOTTOM. BEFORE I START MAKING THE BATTER, I REMOVE THE BUNDT CAKE FROM THE REFRIGERATOR SIT IT ON THE COUNTER TO GET TO ROOM TEMPERATURE. THEN I START MAKING MY CAKE. BY THE TIME I POUR THE BATTER INTO THE GREASED CAST IRON BUNDT CAKE PAN, IT IS AT ROOM TEMPERATURE AND READY FOR THE OVEN. SO, WHATEVER CAKE PAN YOU ARE USING TRY MY METHOD OF GREASING AND SEE IF YOUR CAKE WILL STOP STICKING. IF YOU CAKE STILL STICKS, ADD A LITTLE MORE BUTTERED CRISCO AND BAKER'S JOY. BUT REMEMBER, I PREPARE MY PAN THE NIGHT BEFORE AND REFRIGERATE TO MARINATE INTO THE PAN- I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU- HAPPY BAKING

    Didn't come out right. I baked it for an hour but wasn't done so I added more time. 1.5 hours later it's done but when I cut it it looks wet inside I think it is too much butter.

      Don't over mix it . the flour activates too much gluten when over beaten. Also the type of flour can be the issue. Also I don't remember him adding baking soda or powder. Add 1 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp baking soda or 1 tsp baking soda. 1/2 tsp of salt. I hope that helps.
      Eric passed away as per other you tubers . That's why he doesn't respond. Sad

      You don't need milk, baking soda or powder for this. The 6 eggs makes it rise.

    Always leave a quarter inch in the pan for rising. Never fill it to the brim.

    If Sista Betty's cake is good as u say it is....then follow her recipe TO - THE - LETTER. Do NOT deviate from her instructions. I'm watching because I intend to make this cake too. So, if u got this recipe from the MASTER....then do as she says. LOL

      Mildred Patterson he said an hour but all that batter had to take longer maybe 1hr 30min @325*

    Peel, I truly would like to give you a review on Miss Betty’s pound cake, but that would require someone tasting it so we can know from other parties hiw it turned out! Oh my goodness, this recipe sounded like a 2 cake or maybe 3 cake recipe. Did all that batter fit into the one cake pan or was there extra? I have the Nexican vanilla and it is so potent, when a recipe called for 1 tsp, I have to use only 3/4 tsp! You put in 4 tsp of quality vanilla. I just can’t see how that can taste good. ( shrug). The eggs one at a time method adds lift and better crumb. Also alternating flour mixture with a wet, such as sour cream, it builds a better crumb. Like 1/3 the flour, mix, 1/3 the s cream . Mix then scrape down, and repeat this with 3rds until flour and sour cream are in there. Scraping down between is important. Plz give a taste and texture review plus anything Miss Betty says about your cake. You should take her a piece but old folks tasters change with age. 💜💙

      Adding all eggs may not work if you don't have a professional mixer. Also, I cream the butter and cream cheese 1st, then add sugar, cream that, then add eggs, 1 at a time. There's a difference in texture.

    Too much butter for me. My grandmother used a full pound of butter in her pound cake. Too rich and not good for me. Moving on. To each his own.
