The fact that your dad joked about the cost it took to feed ya, and you said the same thing about feeding Tom earlier that day is so funny!! You clearly take after him not just in work but in personality too, it was so nice to hear from him, cheers to 40 years dad! 🥰
Sam, your gentle spirit with the horses is so admirable. Just love how you talk to them! Very refreshing watching you and your dad laugh together! Thank you all for taking care of God's beautiful creatures!
For being a newbie at creating videos, you certainly have upped your game; entertaining to watch, educational to learn, humorous for the laughs. The editing is also great. Love meeting new horses, especially ones that have different foot problems. The process of shoeing is much more complicated than I realized, which makes your work-and Tom’s-so interesting to watch. If you’re still looking for content ideas, here’s a few to consider: 1. The difference between single and double toe clips. 2. Are all shoes the same metal? 3. How do you maintain your equipment? Keep things sharp, clean, etc. Is buying/replacing equipment expensive? 4. Brilliant new product development of the hoof balm. The hooves look spectacular! Any other innovations ahead?

I LOVED this video so much! It was great to follow you around for "a day in the life of Sam & Tom." I'm consistently surprised learning about all the details you look for and see in each horses hooves and trim/shoe them accordingly. Please continue with those explanations and showing us what you're seeing on the hoof. There's so much more to being a great farrier than I ever realized. I do have a mad crush on Hessel? Yasi? Couldn't make out his name. What a gorgeous Belgian dream horse!!! I've wanted a pure black horse ever since I was a little girl. He's sooooo handsome and silly but a big cuddle bug too. 💚 It's still so much fun to see you two sparring each other like brothers. Thanks for bringing us along on your day and to meet your dad. I've been watching loads of farrier videos. Many of the farriers work on horses that have been traumatized and rescued from kill pens and are very difficult. It makes me so happy to see how relaxed the horses are around you, and how you keep telling them they're good lads. The care you take with your work is really top notch, and how you form the shoes using the forge and anvil is an art. Even the tapping of the nails has your own unique rhythm to it, and finishing them off with a shine is the best. The way the apprenticeships are carried through the generations is just astounding. No wonder you've lifted your work to an art form that's difficult to find anywhere. From your view you're just doing your job and probably think i'm being silly to fuss, but from my view your knowledge extends back in time generations, and I hope it continues forward and does not become a lost art. Thank you again for sharing this work with us. It's important.

Love Papa Wolf's smile! Lovely. Always look forward to new videos. For whatever reason, they are just good for my soul. Thank you Sam from Wisconsin, USA. ❤
I was quite surprised to see you guys gathering up horses and turning them back out in the field. Every farrier I've ever known requires the horses to be in the barn and ready to go. You're much more interactive with the horses, too. Love it! ❤️
I've been a farrier for forty years, here on the west coast of the US it's very common to gather horses from fields. Many owners are not in the picture, I've done many horses alone. Stables aren't as common here, usually someone's back yard. Always enjoy watching you work. Your dad was a special treat in this video. Bravo to farriers!
Just love how you talk to horses and handle them with care 😊. Wonderful to see and great to watch having been a lover of horses myself for many years . Keep up good work thank you both for showing people your dedication 👏 👍 hard work xx
These videos are fascinating. You and Tom are really great. Natural and charming with the affectionate abuse and banter. As a fellow northerner not too far away I love hearing the local accent. I seriously wince at the back pain you must get. Is there no way the horses could not be on a higher level because you must get sore. I really feel for you both with how you are bending down all day. I'm sure you are used to it of course but still it looks hard. Really great channel though lovely lads both of you.
Lovely video with your dad Sam, you look up to him & he's proud of you. Such a lovely man. I never got to watch my grandad at work as i only saw him on a Sunday growing up, but i used to go in the forge & my dad has his anvil. I never even took a shoe, but i wish now i had. Awwwwe papa Wolf!! Love this video and the thumbnail! It's wonderful that you got to work with your dad 🥰and you came to love what you do. And now you're sharing this with Tom. It's needed these days so thank you. 😊
Loved watching this Sam, it’s so nice to see someone who is so passionate about their work and the horses ❤️ nice to see your dad doing his thing too, what a guy 🙌🏼
Wow, so many technicalities involved in hoof care and shoeing. Grandfather was from Denmark, he learned the smithing/farrier trade at a school in Hamburg, Germany.
I think this was my favorite video yet. I loved seeing Papa Wolf and hearing his view. And it’s fun seeing and hearing more from Tom. I love when Sam tells us about the horses’ personalities and kind of work they do, and it makes me so happy when any of the guys give the horses TLC. One question…why does Tom (or any farrier) have to go find the horses in the field? If they have an appointment, shouldn’t the owner have the horses ready for the farrier? Not trying to stir up trouble with clients. 😇 Just seems like that should be their responsibility.
Hi from california. Love your show...had a horse rescue farm here...mayb y rs...i miss it greatly...ive retired n moved. Hi Sam Costa Rica here. Like father like son. Both handsome and talented. Tom is a great apprentise. Thanks for introduce your Dad. Loved the work with Pablo very humble horse...good spanish pronunciation. More spanish please...Buenos días ❤
I think your dad doesn’t give you an exact amount of horses needing your care because he’s probably hoping you’ll spend some extra time……..parents are tricky that way. Enjoy the time you’ve together. You’re a truly great mentor to the young lad. In more ways than just teaching him a trade.Take good care, from Vancouver Island, B.C. Canada. 46:14
It was lovely meeting your Dad on this video. He seems wonderful and obviously a great teacher of the trade. It's nice to see Tom getting more confident and also joking around. Loved this day in the life video ❤
I agree that this is educational. The level of skill is apparent - and it fascinates me that you memorise the hoof shapes and then walk away from the horses to make well fitting shoes, what a brilliant skill. I'd love to see how your brains light up when using those skills because there must be a visible difference in visualisation between you guys and a layperson. I'm also really interested in the words that accompany horses - the names for parts of the body, and things like hack - I used to muck out and ride a friend's horse as a teen and the language around it is so evocative when I hear it now. That horse is probably the only friend I miss from my teenage years 😂
Love your videos, the longer the better! You're brighten my days 😍😃👍🏼 Thank you!🙏🏻 It was great to 'meet' your amazing Dad. Hope to see him again to hear more stories of his long career! 🤩 You're on the best way to 100k!❤🐎🐴 Sending much love to you guys from Germany 🙋🏼♀️🇩🇪♥️

Love Papa Wolf's smile! Lovely. Always look forward to new videos. For whatever reason,
they are just good for my soul. Thank you Sam from Wisconsin, USA. ❤
love your channel love your attitude and compassion around horses. thank you.
I LOVE the big black horse!!! He is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!🧡🧡🧡
Your Dad is a sweetheart!!
Lovely video, Sam! A lot of interesting information, thank you. ❤ One can tell your dad is very proud of you. I would be too if you were my son.😊
Bravo to farriers!
you just made my Monday with this- thank you guys!! 😃👏🏼
Our pleasure! Thank you ❤
Your father is a joy! I still miss mine and that's been 40 years ago. Just treasure him and acknowledge your blessing.
Great Video Sam & Tom.....Lovely to See Papa Wolf ❤❤❤ x
Sam, you and Tom are really lovely young men.
Dad has a lovely face, and your good looks come from both parents.
Totally agree, i thought it must be a perfect blend.
Just love how you talk to horses and handle them with care 😊. Wonderful to see and great to watch having been a lover of horses myself for many years . Keep up good work thank you both for showing people your dedication 👏 👍 hard work xx
Plus just found out your my best mate's farriers .
The way Tom look at you ❤
Right!!!👀🤣
"I love you man but I might have to kill you" is the main vibe I'm getting 😅
Tom is get the grasp of it he is doing amazing xxxxxxx a good little helper and he is learning from the best xxxx
Oh!!! The cute puppy🤭🐶💖💗
I love it when Tom gets a bit 'mouthy' with Sam . Lol
Nice to meet Dad. Excellent video, interesting and funny. 👍
Lovely video with your dad Sam, you look up to him & he's proud of you. Such a lovely man. I never got to watch my grandad at work as i only saw him on a Sunday growing up, but i used to go in the forge & my dad has his anvil. I never even took a shoe, but i wish now i had. It's nice to watch you & Tom working as i know what it must've been like for my grandad, so thanks for the videos 👍 Seeya! 😝
Thank you Sam for introducing us to your Dad it was great to meet him and hear about his life as a farrier.
I've watched allll of your videos and shorts and last night I got my mother hooked on your videos now😉🐴🐴🐴 I wish we had a farrier like you (and Tom) here in Tennessee, USA!
Looks, personality, and horses. You both fit the bill and can really make this channel explode!!! I'm looking forward to this ride... horses hate me for some reason, but my love for them is never-ending ❤❤❤
Good lord Sam! That’s a million dollar smile. Mr. Hollywood 😎
Please don't compare his beautiful smile with the weirdos in Hollyweird.
@ thank God for weirdo’s they make the world a fun and better place. 😎
Thoroughly enjoyed the episode. I grew up with horses and remember watching our farrier shoe our horses. Thanks for the memories, handsome guys. Xoxo
Awwwwe papa Wolf!! Love this video and the thumbnail! It's wonderful that you got to work with your dad 🥰and you came to love what you do. And now you're sharing this with Tom. I don't think any of that is all that common these days so it's sooo refreshing to see. We're the lucky ones. I look forward to your posts because the love and joy is genuine. It's needed these days so thank you. 😊
Yeh I’m so lucky to have my dad he taught me everything I know he really my idol, thanks so much for watching I’m glad you enjoyed it ❤
Loved watching this Sam, it’s so nice to see someone who is so passionate about their work and the horses ❤️ nice to see your dad doing his thing too, what a guy 🙌🏼
Wow, so many technicalities involved in hoof care and shoeing. Grandfather was from Denmark, he learned the smithing/farrier trade at a school in Hamburg, Germany.
Amazing attention to detail. Love the before and after. The horses must know it is for their own good because they cooperate so well.
This is gold, and as your Dad said, you're educating a lot of people
I think this was my favorite video yet.
So enjoyed watching this video Sam. Your dad seems a grand chap! ❤
Hi from california. Love your show...had a horse rescue farm here...mayb y rs...i miss it greatly...ive retired n moved. No more...but i watch you.... oh, my maternal grandfather was named charles wolff....he was german n part of moravian church n came to u.s. ...rancher n mill industry. God bless!! 😊
I know im a bit late in my comment, as i just recently found you're channel but first off i want to thank u and you're dad for all the work you do and for your dad coming on the channel...he was such a pleasure ❤️And also, im so incredibly jealous of all the geourgous horses u get to be around. I would be in HEAVEN! I only have the pleasure to clean my own horses feet and my farrier may i say doesn't hold a candle...Sam, u are something special....in all the ways!!!
Hi Sam Costa Rica here. Like father like son. Both handsome and talented. Tom is a great apprentise. Thanks for introduce your Dad. Loved the work with Pablo very humble horse...good spanish pronunciation. More spanish please...Buenos días ❤
Much respect for what you do. Very dangerous and skilled profession😊
Canada. 46:14
I did not know your Dad would there shoeing! It was very nice to meet him. So nice that he passed his knowledge and experience on to you. 🐎 🧲
It was lovely meeting your Dad on this video. He seems wonderful and obviously a great teacher of the trade. It's nice to see Tom getting more confident and also joking around. Loved this day in the life video ❤
Glad your channel has grown! Tom is fun and is a great farrier at his young age! Your Sweet Dad is truly wonderful!🤩😎👍
You guys are so much fun to watch and you are always mixing up the content. Love!
That horse is probably the only friend I miss from my teenage years 😂
Great to meet your Dad! Love your Tank Truck!! Beautiful horses and great craftsmanship 😊❤
Love your videos, the longer the better! You're brighten my days 😍😃👍🏼 Thank you!🙏🏻 It was great to 'meet' your amazing Dad. Hope to see him again to hear more stories of his long career! 🤩
You're on the best way to 100k!❤🐎🐴
Sending much love to you guys from Germany 🙋🏼♀️🇩🇪♥️
Very interesting video showing respectful work of farrier/blacksmith.
Thank you for sharing.
Greetings from Hamburg Germany
I can’t believe some people don’t pick their horses feet out before you arrive! My farrier would kill me if I left them all muddy 😂
Loved this video 😊 x
I Enjoyed this
The side by sides comparison’s of the trade.
Some people can do a job
Some can be born to a Kraft. I see this in Sam.
The longer stroke of his rasp….the instinctual knowing.. it shows and that’s why I like and subscribe.
I enjoy seeing a man exceptional in his Kraft.
Thank you
Yup, it's keeping the profession alive...GREAT VIDEO!!!
I enjoyed watching you, guy. I know all about too much work, nursing the same, lol. It's lovely to see 3 people enjoying your work. X X
Loved meeting your Dad... the 3 of you - like one big happy family. 🧲 🐎
Thank you, that you are very sensitive with the horses. Not a lot of people are sensitive with animals of the world, chapeau 🎉🎉
I just adore the banter and contagious smiles. Your dad is a gem. He's spot on, this channel introduced me to what a farrier does. Great insight. Love the gentle comments that you give to each horse (good lad, good girl). Thank you. P.S. Can't wait to see your new setup for the truck. Best of luck to you and Tom. Oh and can we meet Mom too?
So wanted to see your father on here..love the history of your career, the people around you & the horses you shoe 😊 p.s would love to see you ride out one day 😊
Ah! It was so nice getting to know The Man behind The Man. How sweet! Thanks again Sam and Tom!!😊
Just started watching your videos and subscribed. I find them very honest, entertaining and educational. I'm not really into horses but like watching real tradesman at work showing off their skills and passing down the knowledge to next generation. Also like how you explain what you're doing and Thomas done that also so well done.
