I was having dinner with friends at Sardi’s once when a man at the next table started choking to death! I jumped up and did the Heimlich maneuver on him, the piece of meat popped out-and he was okay! He picked up our tab, and the management was so thrilled someone didn’t die in the middle of the restaurant that they gave me a gift certificate!
I can’t tell you how much I am loving the NYC vlogs. Reminds me of home and wonderful memories. When my mom was young she wanted to be a dancer and actually auditioned for The Rockettes. She won the audition but my grandfather said no because she was only 16. She gave up dancing shortly after that. If she had gotten to be a Rockette, I wouldn’t be here.
I've been to NYC twice. Each time I enjoyed it. I can feel the love the people have for their city. There's so much History there, that I'm sure it would take a lifetime or more to cover it.....
That view that The Top of the Rock was just beautiful! Seeing the Actors Studio was very cool! And I bet the food at Sardi's was good? Awesome job, Jordan! Just awesome! And the FAO Schwartz trip was very cool too.
Those yellow taxi cabs, the history of those buildings you show. Sardi's was very good, food prices reasonable.Enjoyed this explore, thank you Jordan :)
Hubby took me to New York city at Christmas. Rockefeller center was beautiful and the Christmas tree was spectacular! I am afraid of heights so thanks Jordan for taking us to the top of the rock!
Sardi's is awesome. Was the food good? Big is one of my fav movies. The toy store is incredible. I must say you cant beat the older Saturday night live shows. I havent watched it for a long time. Wow what a wonderful, exciting city. Thank you. Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁. Be safe
Hello Jordan. I am a new subscriber to your channel and I truly enjoy watching your vlogs. I am currently disabled so me getting out or doing any travel is not an option so following these vlogs gives me some sense of travel and discovering with whats out there in the world! I have also recently subscribed to Brecks channel as well! Thanks,Tim.
What a way to start the vlog with a statue of “The Great One”! My favorite Sardi’s caricature was of Vincent Price. “Big” locations were awesome!!! 🦁🐕🦁
Hi Jordan, LOVED IT ALL, nice that you went to the Actor's Studio for Shelley. I loved Sardi's, I loved the caricatures of Bette Davis and Myrna Loy, I would have been there an hour or so just looking at them. Nice to see the old Hollywood stars and know they have been there. I can't believe it was $40.00 to go to the Top Of The Rock, disgusting! Great vlog Jordan.
You ever go to NY at Christmas time? It's beautiful, magical. I used to love to love to go into the city to look at the Christmas windows when I lived there. I went to the Christmas Spectacular as well. It featured a showing of Pete's Dragon then the Christmas Spectacular.
Jordan thank you for another great vlog from the BABE RUTH of bloggers ! Sardis so cool ! Thanks I consider it a privilege to be acknowledged by you !!!
You are killing it Jordan! All my favorite places. I took my little sister to Sardi's for lunch years ago. It was a high point. Love your remembrances of your dear friend and one of our favorites, Shelley Winters.
Wow what a treat seeing the Actor’s Studio, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall. My dad talked about how New York was when he lived there in the late 1940’s when he was studying at Columbia University and dated one of the Rockettes when he was single. He had a romanticized view of New York at that time. After he married my mom in the early 1950’s she said New York felt to confining so they ended up going to California. So when my husband & I had an opportunity to try living in New York to try something different, we stayed in Upstate NY for 4 yrs and took advantage of exploring the east coast. I’m glad we experienced New York yet still Jordan I’m amazed at how much we actually missed seeing in the city. Thanks to your vlogs our adventures can come full circle . ❤️🙏🏻⭕️
Brings back memories. Every year at Christmas a group of girlfriends would venture to NYC. Great times. Little Italy was one of our favoritEDC places to eat. TY for the memories Mary
About 22 yrs ago I decided to take my then girlfriend to NY on her birthday & the rainbow room @ Rockefeller center was one of our planned stops but unfortunately she was wearing sneakers & she wasn't allowed inside the rainbow room, many years passed & I always regretted not making my way back given I only live about 2 hrs away but I totally forgot about it till ur story so thank you Jordan for bringing it to me, take care.
When I was little lol I was born in 78 my parents always took me to see the Rockets. Then I would go Ice skating and have hot coco and look at he tree. 💕
I wish I had watched BIG when I was a kid - when I was little all I wanted to do was be a grown up, but watching BIG I realized I should have cherished my childhood more and not have wanted to grow up so fast and now all I wanna do is be a kid again LOL
Always remember Shelly Winters for The Poseidon Adventure, but most of all as an Elvis fan she played his mother in the John Carpenter Elvis TV Movie with Kurt Russel as The King
Great vlog. Loved the walking tour part 1. So many wonderful things to see. I hope you found Shelly's picture at Sardi's. I don't think I'd have made it all the way to the top of the rock. Thanks to you I did. Can't wait to see where we go tomorrow and can't wait for part 2 of the walking tour. Safe Travels and Take Care.
Comin from a small rural place in the south and having never been there it's hard to wrap my head around the scale of these places and how different the two really are.
I love New York! Thank you for showing some of the highlights of the city. I went to the top of the rock with my daughter but I could only stand plastered to the back wall. It was so windy that night and I was terrified. Looking forward to more of your walking tour. Another enjoyable vlog.
When I was on the elevator, looking up through the Glass Ceiling made me dizzy, but an awesome experience. One of the better places to get great views of the city! Try Vernon Blvd. in Long Island City by the Pepsi sign!
wow. The Actors Studio AND Sardi's! Nice start! I have the Vincent Price cookbook and I think Sardi's is in it. It looks too busy and crowded for me, but just look at all that history!
Jordan, thanks for this vlog. Manhattan is my favorite city. Haven't been there in a while. You've made me want to go now. my late wife and I spent many days in the city. I have seen the ice and skaters at Rockefeller center, and the Christmas Spectacular.
Loved your vlog today Jordan, as I will never see NYC. I totally expected to see you play chopsticks on the floor piano lol I love the movie "Big! ..of course seeing Voltare was cool too. 💯 Have fun, I know I did and all I did was watch, no walking involved 😉
Great vlog of NYC! Loved seeing the fourth floor of Sardi's! The FAO Schwarz you were in is not the original 5th Ave location that was used in the movies. That store closed in 2015. In 2019 a new FAO Schwarz in Rockefeller Plaza.
That totally makes sense now that you mention it because I was there back in the 90s and I thought the front looked different than I remembered. I still wanted to see the piano, so I'm not too bummed
What a fabulous walking tour! As usual, your style of vlog makes it like we’re there with you. That was quite the elevator ride! Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to see the second part. What a busy place!
Such a phenomenal Vlog, just like the rest! Miss NYC so very, very, very much! A tip for next time you're on 44th Street, The IMPROV comedy Club was at 358 W 44th Street, at 44th and 9th, from 1963-1994. It's now been split into two businesses, The Producers Club Theatre and Don Giovanni's Italian Restaurant. The latter of which is a delightful Restaurant, where the original Brick wall still stands, with a plaque. I love this place so much that I have the address tattooed on my body so I can never forget it. Definitely check in out the next time you visit The Actors Studio!:)
Wow... a beautiful travel vlog today thanks so much Jordan!! What fun fun fun & exciting the view was fantastic but surprisingly quite... and my vertigo didn’t kick in so have a wonderful rest of your day, Jordan. I’ll check out Part 2 tomorrow🌸🌼🌺🌹🌷👍🏻 👏🏻🤐🗽🤫🤐🌻🌻👩🏻💻
You know I stopped watching SNL years ago for just that reason. Not funny and actually boring. But I do love NYC there is so much to see and do. Thanks for going on top of the rock! Awesome vlog
I'm enjoying these very much and I live in NYC. Glad you took us to the top of the rock. I won't pay that price for a ticket. But that's me. Great for the tourists. Never been to Sardies. So will have to go there . I hope you enjoyed the food. A fun vlog even for a New Yorker. Lol
Too many great things to comment on any one...exactly what I want to do one day is visit New York and walk and see all the great stuff you showed us, can’t wait to see tomorrow’s Vlog. Would really like to do it around Christmas! 🎄
Thank you for sharing this, I do love rock, and learning about stuff about a subject matter I like is amazing. Plus, those sunglasses are almost as cool as Elvis was. :D
OMG! Jordan you said you had a problem with heights in one of your videos. I DON’T THINK SO!!! How on earth could you take us up to the Top of the Rock then???? Wonderful vlog. Thank you so much.
One more suggestion while you are in the NY area! Lakehurst New Jersey, and the site of the Hindenburg disaster. Hanger still there, and a museum inside, but only open a few hrs a week. there is also monuments and memorials at the actual crash site on the field. It is still a military base, so you must get clearance, but well worth it. Not that far from NYC.
I so enjoyed Sardi's. But I was a little disappointed in your up top time. Sort felt a little cheated on the time and what was there. But that price to go up. Wow, ridiculous. Thanks for sharing.
No, they all said in was in one place, and when I looked it wasn't there.. Then a waiter came. By and said they had recently moved some around from the bottom floor to the second but I looked all over the 2nd and 4th floor, and couldn't find her..
I’ve never really had the chance to get into Saturday night live but I will agree with you the older stuff is definitely better than the new stuff. I don’t know where they find the new people but they are just not very good. It’s just a different agent people find different things funny I guess
Sardis always reminds me of those old Bugs Bunny cartoons! lol Still waiting to see if you hit my fave ;) Top O the Rock is close...Sardi's was AWESOME btw -Someone prolly already said..but FAO relocated since BIG daze...Haven't watched SNL since late 90's tbh. LOVING this Jordan!
Looking at the portion they gave you at Sardi's....your better off HotDogging it like Matlock did.....How much are the Hotdogs from the street cart anyways?....should add a vendor blog.
I was having dinner with friends at Sardi’s once when a man at the next table started choking to death! I jumped up and did the Heimlich maneuver on him, the piece of meat popped out-and he was okay! Jordan you need your own show on the Travel Channel. These vlogs are insane.
Love that you treated yourself to Sardi’s and they let you go upstairs. I love exploring NY.
Wish I would have gone to Sardi’s when I was in New York. Kind of reminds me of the Brown Derby inside.
I can’t tell you how much I am loving the NYC vlogs. Reminds me of home and wonderful memories. When my mom was young she wanted to be a dancer and actually auditioned for The Rockettes. Thank you Jordan for buying my $40 ticket...that was spectacular viewing 🎯from an Ohioan
The location of FAO Schwartz was not there when they filmed BIG. It was on 58th and Fifth then on the NE corner.
True that the spot of the store I used to go to before it was moved
I've been to NYC twice. Each time I enjoyed it. I can feel the love the people have for their city. There's so much History there, that I'm sure it would take a lifetime or more to cover it.....
FYI Jordan Fao moved from their original location on 59 street where the original Big was filmed
Directly across from The Plaza Hotel!
That view that The Top of the Rock was just beautiful! Seeing the Actors Studio was very cool! And I bet the food at Sardi's was good? Awesome job, Jordan! Just awesome! And the FAO Schwartz trip was very cool too.

Really enjoying NY, my great grandmother was a cook at the Russian tea room!

I love to VISIT NYC. Couldn't agree with you more about Saturday Night Live.

Monty studied there also. I love your videos, J. Thanks.

Totally agree with you on SNL. Love the old, hate the new. Have been enjoying your NY vlogs. Went there 2 yrs ago.

LOVE IT!!!! And you're right.....Saturday Night Live hasn't been funny for YEARS (I'm surprised it's still on)!!!!!
It got political at this point
GREAT BLOG...AND YOU ARE SOOOOOOOOOOO RIGHT ABOUT HOW SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE IS NO LONGER FUNNY...THEY KILLED IT WHEN GOING POLITICAL.....
Great vlog. Loved the walking tour part 1. So many wonderful things to see. I hope you found Shelly's picture at Sardi's. I don't think I'd have made it all the way to the top of the rock. Great job Jordon! One of my favorites so far.
If you get a chance, check out the Mercury Room at the NY Hilton. It's where E gave his press conference for the MSG shows.
"None of it!"
You got that right!
Excellent I see the Rocketts every Christmas.
I love New York! Thank you for showing some of the highlights of the city. I went to the top of the rock with my daughter but I could only stand plastered to the back wall. It was so windy that night and I was terrified. Looking forward to more of your walking tour. Another enjoyable vlog.

Man, for a person with a fear of heights, you are constantly challenging those fears! This was the ultimate one. Great, and brave job.
wow. The Actors Studio AND Sardi's! Nice start! I have the Vincent Price cookbook and I think Sardi's is in it. It looks too busy and crowded for me, but just look at all that history!
I love NYC and you are showing it off well. I am adding so many things to my must see list on my next visit!! Thanks Jordan!!!

I agree with you about SNL. It could be our age though. I feel the same about music.
I agree with you at the end of the day we just can’t keep things the same

Funny, I lived in NJ about 8 miles out of Manhattan. I didn't travel much to the city when I had the chance. Too bad.
Fun to see the Actor's Studio! Some great actors came out of that establishment! Thanks for bringing this vlog to us, Jordan!
Enjoying the sites of New York!
What a fabulous walking tour! As usual, your style of vlog makes it like we’re there with you. That was quite the elevator ride! Thanks for sharing and I can’t wait to see the second part. What a busy place!

Hi Jordan! I know there's so much to see and do in the city, but would the Tenement Museum be something you'd
Go to Rudys bar and grill on 45th. Best prices in all midtown.
You know I stopped watching SNL years ago for just that reason. Not funny and actually boring. But I do love NYC there is so much to see and do. Thanks for going on top of the rock! Awesome vlog

Enyed this vlog as usual. Especially liked Sardi's, FAO Schwartz, Rockefeller Centre.
I love NYC. I don't get there nearly enough. Great walking tour Jordan. Lots of special places.
One more suggestion while you are in the NY area!
Lakehurst New Jersey, and the site of the Hindenburg disaster.
Hanger still there, and a museum inside, but only open a few hrs a week.
there is also monuments and memorials at the actual crash site on the field.

Not that far from NYC.
I don't do any suggestions. I plan my trips before I go
Jordan your vlog was blocked by umg I tried to see it but it was copyright striked

You should visit NYC during the Christmas season some time. it's amazing.
My dad used to say the same thing when he studied in New York during his young adult life. ❤️🌹
