Fast Limits of Rockfish - Nomad Vertrex Jigging

- In todays video we headed up to the Northern California Coast to do some rock fishing. We planned on doing some bottom fishing and struggled to find a good drift. We ended up finding a giant stack of fish under the boat from 10-40ft of water and capitalized on the opportunity. We used Nomad Vertrex 95 and 130's as our go to. The vertex were fun to use, the fish hammered them! The vertrex falls flat straight and most of time we got bit on the fall. We appreciate all the support to everyone that watches our videos. Thanks for watching!

Love when the graph is stuffed like that.
Oh yeah! It makes it fun when they up in the water column. We went out again last weekend and had another awesome day.
There were used to many huge school of black and blue rockfish, but they are almost gone from Santa Cruz to HMB. RF is my therapy. And it is so fun for me to fish with spinning rods.
Bummer to hear that they haven’t been down there! We got lucky and found a good school. The spinning rods are way too much fun. We have some spinning rods for tuna casting this year 🎣
Good job guys
Thanks Oleg! 👍
The beauty of deep sea or just off shore fishing is that you never know what will be on the hook
Very true, especially when targeting bottom fish or pelagic fish
Where do y'all launch from where the ocean is that calm?
In video it’s so hard to tell how calm it is but it was pretty western. We typically launch out of bodega ca
Those got to be the smallest black rockfish I've seen why would you keep them, I guess when that's all you get you keep them. I wish I could keep black rockfish in Puget Sound were
I fish the average size 22in" to 24in". Fisheries need to put size limit on them out there for sure those are just to small that's why we can't keep any in Puget Sound! I see you're From
out of California even there should be a size limit as well, sorry that's just my thinking!🎣
I wish we had them that big in san Fran coast😢
Hey man thanks for watching the video. We do not get black rock fish that size here, not even close. They are much smaller here. Getting a black rockfish 22-24” inches is a super rare thing. We totally agree with size limits when it’s appropriate.
Nice haul, how far out the marina did you guys have to go to start rock fishing?
Thanks man, we didn’t have to go too far, we just found a bunch on the graph and find a good school of fish.
@DDFishingCo thanks planning om heading up there, hopefully get into a school like you guys.
Thanks man good luck to ya
Iam sitting here wondering why I am a work😟Time to launch the Nauti Gal
Yeah Mike it’s time get out there buddy!
We get that your sponsored by nomad and okumq, but please stop laying the product plug every few seconds. It's clear they work; however, there is such thing as too much. Please find that balance. I just cant even watch othe product centric channels like Mark cotton (nz flog) videos anymore for the same reasons. That said, love the original content and fishing emphasis.
Thanks for the honest feedback it’s really helpful for us so we can continue to try make better videos, it’s tough work making content and we do not always know how the viewers feel. We will take this to the notebook for our future videos.
