I think the Fermaid-O works pretty well I've had really good luck with it. Matter of fact right now we have a well I call it I kilju with mint and lime in it that started out and is fermenting great and there's usually issues with that. We also use Go-ferm as well. We've never tried Fermax though.

Nice recipe. What size is the fermenter you're using? You guys should consider putting affiliated links to the equipment you use too.

It's a 3 gallon fermonster! I'll work on affiliated links! Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for tuning in!

@15:00 - i know "cider with kevin" did a 4 yeast shootout and he prefers the cote de Blanc yeast. Maybe that influenced the local brew shop?

Possibly, I try to limit my intake of other mead creators now we are in the game, to try and get info from the makers in my area because who else should know more about local AZ flavors right? But you could be absolutely right, cause when I trolled for this content I watched anything related.

@4:11 if you have a 3d printer (or know someone who does), then you xan just print one the size you need

You could have just added a spoon of honey to your glass to see how it tasted sweet.

How many brews do you guys generally have active at any given time?

Right now, I think we are in the ballpark of about 30 different brews! Hence the forgetfulness lol. Thanks so much for watching!

I have heard when you ferment strawberries it gives it a "bandaid" flavor. Does that happen to you? Or do you do something to prevent that off flavor?

Well, I can tell you for sure we get a strawberry funk, but I haven't heard it described as "bandaid". But also full disclosure I've eaten very few bandaids. It's definitely something that is quantifiable but difficult to describe. Either way it ages out so as long as you don't rush it, it's usually no problem. Thanks for watching!

That comes from Fermenting inside Plastic and the seeds of the Strawberry.
Don’t leave your strawberries in the primary too long.
Remove them and put in new strawberries.
