This actually motivated me to start solving problems in my life (specifically the "taking care of the skeletons in my closet 1 by 1" part), so thank you. "you don't choose how you feel, you choose how you react" also hit me hard
The fact that the skeletons were animated accurately while playing the instruments- like holy shit I know movies and cartoons that just covered the hands or made them play the wrong notes and stuff bUT NOT PLEASANTRIES and with all of those different instruments too like woah
I love that you didn't just let the skeleton on the kit randomly hit around. It actually matches the sound with an actual kit. You could've been lazy and no one cared. But you put in more effort and it's amazing.
The compositing you did to make this happen is nuts. I'm such a fan of the 3d skeleton band. But I love that the wall person thing took over haha. Great visuals to go with an already amazing song. Great great great stuff
I keep coming back to this song, I wasn't in the greatest of places at the end of 2022 but this is the one song I kept listening to through it, like others have said it's motivated me to try and turn things around, rebuilding relationships, taking better care of my health, and today I applied for university. So thank you for being an inspiration to many including myself. "You don't choose how you feel, but you choose how you react" has become a personal mantra to me lately and I've taken that to heart, such a powerful line.
Just came across you on TikTok with "the greatest song ever" and I have to say I'm glad I checked out your TH-cam channel, what a massive talent. Keep it up!
I cry every single time I listen without fail. It's just like Talking to Myself by watsky. God just thinking about the opening piano riff is getting me emotional. You and watsky are pretty high up on my list of quality artists. I wish you well and hope you succeed in whatever you set your mind to. Regardless of whether you succeed or fail, I'm going to be here to support you.
Goddang this is proggy. Can we get a whole album like this with a story to follow? It reminds me of the best stuff that Dream Theater has ever put out.
This is my new favorite video by you, the song is so fucking catchy and the visuals are actually insane, like the amount of different styles interacting with others is amazing, love how there’s different angles of it too, the live action arms hitting the cymbals, I love your stuff and you keep on topping what I thought was your best work.
I love the fact that this person puts stop motion and 3d and live action edits its so amazing i really wanna see more like this on other media fantastic work dude keep making songs and take breaks and enjoy your works (i wanna thank you this song is helping i just finshed graduation and soon to have fat surgery next month but listening to it is amazing and really motivated and liked you're songs)
I like how the song focuses more on the perspective of the "you" character for the first part and what they perceive, then on the "mind" character's perspective for the second part and how they feel.
I'm so glad The Greatest Song Ever Made graced my TH-cam homepage because now I've discovered a truly incredible artist. Thanks for all the great music, keep it up!
pleasanties...................my man..................... the skeletons? perfect. yoour musical composition???? amazing and i love the way the feeling changes abnd im just in love a
This is one of my favorite song's that the Pleasantries had made. For me it is more of a positive song. This song always has a tone of telling someone an issue but you end up teaching them something back from your bad experiences.
I usually dislike vocals in songs and just listen to the instrumental instead. You are one of the only artists i like to listen to with vocals and the instrumentals. The way you combine vocals and the instrumentals is beautiful. And even though this one is 2 years old, your old work still stands as great today. One of my favorites from 7 years ago has to be where the pipes go.
This song by the way is helping me not give up on solving my problems I like listening to it often when I feel like I’m giving up and your lyrics of saying “everything is fine, won’t give up” hits so hard on me I just feel so motivated to keep on going.
Me when I randomly think of something very messed up and immediately tell myself to not think about that because it’s weird and then I don’t think about it again
Great video and great song! Found your stuff on TikTok a little while back, and since then I've had a lot of fun listening/watching. Not sure how often you perform live shows, but I would buy tickets!
This is my favorite song it help me a lot when I was in a bad mindset now I’m glad to be alive and this song/video partially helped me get out of the rut and I want to thank u for that
There are certain parts in this song that make me wonder if there’s a hidden meaning, Like his face being distorted until the sunglasses, His face ending on a specific colour, etc.
This actually motivated me to start solving problems in my life (specifically the "taking care of the skeletons in my closet 1 by 1" part), so thank you. "you don't choose how you feel, you choose how you react" also hit me hard
:) amazing! best of luck to you. therapy works it turns out, i learned all that there haha
@@Pleasantries ur cool
not all problems can be solved, and that's okay,
@@Pleasantries you're the greatest person ever made
We're in here 🌹
I love how he says "I can't control how I feel" and later in the song he realizes he can't control that, but can control how he reacts
Yup
The fact that the skeletons were animated accurately while playing the instruments- like holy shit I know movies and cartoons that just covered the hands or made them play the wrong notes and stuff bUT NOT PLEASANTRIES and with all of those different instruments too like woah
Don't choose how you feel, but choose how you react is a fantastic lyric. Truly can sum up a large part of human interaction.
I love that you didn't just let the skeleton on the kit randomly hit around. It actually matches the sound with an actual kit. You could've been lazy and no one cared. But you put in more effort and it's amazing.
This guy has insane control over his voice wow
beautiful song, you can tell the band really worked themselves to the bone making this

This song is seriously fantastic, like unironically
Every once in a while this man creates a psychedelic masterpiece, complete with great songwriting, psychological lyrics, and an amazing video.
1:36 Love this part! I should have heard this song sooner.
1:56 mii maker
I like how the song focuses more on the perspective of the "you" character for the first part and what they perceive, then on the "mind" character's perspective for the second part and how they feel.
This is outstanding, my friend. Thank you for sharing with me. With us. It's an honor to listen, to be a part of this, truly.
Wow the way they are animated playing the instruments is really spot on! This channel is a lil gold mine haha
Honestly one of my favorite songs on the channel. I like how the guy deals with his skeletons and has a breakthrough
I'm so glad The Greatest Song Ever Made graced my TH-cam homepage because now I've discovered a truly incredible artist. Thanks for all the great music, keep it up!
the second half is so cheesy, yet incredibly uplifting.
probably my favorite song of yours by far.
I literally can not stop listening to this
YOU ANIMATED THE PIANO CORRECTLY
The blending of mediums here is immaculate once again. I love this!
pleasanties...................my man..................... the skeletons? perfect. yoour musical composition???? amazing and i love the way the feeling changes abnd im just in love a
i like the detail that the closet isn't reflected in the guy's sunglasses
This is one of my favorite song's that the Pleasantries had made. For me it is more of a positive song. This song always has a tone of telling someone an issue but you end up teaching them something back from your bad experiences.
this whole video is a great showcase of how talented you are. amazing job my god

This song is so relatable, I cant stop listing to it.
This is Like A Rock Song Turning Into A Sad Song And Turning into A Happy Pop Song With Guitars
Such a good song, man

the music in the first segment seriously sounds like video game music, like what you’d hear on the final floor of a roguelike
100% his best song
The animation here is SO GOOD and so is the song! Great stuff like always!
This is A GREAT mv and song bro!!! So well made, the 3d modeling is great as well as the mix of traditional and digital art. Wow!!!
I'm not gonna say anything that others haven't but this was amazing and the self discovery in it was done really well
I swear whenever I hear this song I get chills listening to violins come in.
God this gives me chills every time I listen to it, amazing work like always
ik this song is from 2 years ago but PLEASE make more songs good as hell like this one
new album is good as hell I assure ya stay tuned :)
Incredible
Man I can't begin to describe how strong of an affect this song has on me, it's genuinely fantastic and never fails to strike accord with me.

As someone with many skeletons in the closet this helped me a lot
they put some backbone into this
this song has been on repeat for about 6 months now. found you on tik tok. you really showcase your talent here. 10/10
Truly emotionally captivating
I come back to this video from time to time to give myself a confidence boost and feel happy. This video just gives a good vibe and can't explain it.
Very realistic animation of the drumming
