Later on I really liked my 38 Special album Wild Eyed Southern Boys. I actually sold them all in a yard sale one day if you can believe that. They even had the original plastic wrap cover on because I would run a strip of tape down the side and cut it open with a razor knife to keep the wrap in place. We all thought CDs were the new future thing. How wrong we were. Just goes to show how marketing can make you give up the treasures and memories of your past. I should have listened to my gut. I remember telling people back then that CDs sounded mechanical and slightly off to me. They would think I was crazy for saying that back then. Now I can really hear the warmth and realism of a record compared to the digital binary crap of CDs.
@Shadowman... Seems we both have been in high school during the same period in time. I always had a special ear for music, you are totally right the CD can not compare to the vynil. They would tell us how awesomenthey spund. But there are tones on the music I love that you just don't hear on a CD. I do however like the cleanness of a cd with the right music. I do have alot more 70's on my channel that I uploaded pictures to the music. Don't mind most of them because I was quite amateurish. 😅😅😅
@@MARDEESUE2 CDs actually convert REAL SOUND( Analog ) into Digital. It converts it into zeros and ones. It's like taking a Master Renaissance painting and converting it to tiny dots~ Even though it would look fine from a distance, it's still lacking something. All those spaces between the dots. Same thing with a Cd. We were never meant to hear sound as digital. The real world around you is natural sound, not a artificial representation of the sound. but people get hooked on words and terms. They like words like Digital, or Plasma with Tvs. If it sounds futuristic, there ready to trash all there old stuff. They tried to come close with SACD ( super audio compact disc ) but some people say they don't sound as good as the old records. Who knows.
Some memories won't fade. But the ones we never made...and dreamed of ...is what hurts the most. It hurts to see the one guy I fell IN love for...never fell this way for me. Being that we live so far apart..and he got kisses and more from someone else...blew it. I know I'll never get that. He fantasizes about her to this day. She's with the man she is in love with...the guy I love she just wanted to use him to find out what she wanted...and it was her fiance all along. Thanks Mardee.

There is not a weak song on this album; a disc of perfection. However this is probably my fav song on it. Clue: I've now downloaded 3 different pic tribute versions of "W/o You". I'm glad I found this 1 too. It's a keeper.

As much as this song just seems to symbolize emotion over the death of a loved one, I always thought there was a story to it: Two lovers, a man and a woman, wake up one morning and run away together, trying to escape from an unknown fate. The line "We must keep moving while the light is clearing, leaving your dark world behind you" kind of hints at the fact that the woman has an ambiguous morbid past not even the man fully knows about. That night, they make camp in a forest and go to sleep. The man is then startled awake by a deafening howl and notices that his girlfriend/fiancée is gone. "One chilling bark came screaming through the dark, I saw the yellow moon of midnight" implies that she was a werewolf who transformed by the light of the full moon and disappeared into the night, never to be seen or heard from again. Cut to a few years later, the man is writing about his experience, still mourning the loss of his love, claiming that each passing day is a constant reminder of that fateful night and the grim realization that he's lost her forever. However a part of him still believes that somewhere out there, she's still alive, and that in spirit, they'll always be together. "As time will go, both of us will know there'll never be a day without you..."

Bought the first Asia album the day it was released back in '82. This is their best song, for me.
First cassette I was able to buy with my own money. Played it till it was wore out then able to buy on CD. Still listen to the Asia catalog often.
