Professor Finkelstein is an international treasure and a valuable asset to archaeology in the holy land. A true professional who follows the material evidence and not scriptural dogma. His books are excellent too! Very thorough and honest about what we know, what can reasonably be inferred, and what remains purely speculative.
You have your "evidence" and your "dogma" all mixed-up. You fill your head with 'lord of the rings' and now you put yourself in a place to tell others "what we know" and "what remains purely speculative." Really? Finkelstein is an international traitor to his heritage and the God of his people. His god is a shovel, and he leans on his own understanding; of which he has little. The correct Bible chronology will be coming out soon, starting this year.
And yet his bias was just highlighted with the most recent research on the Mesha Steel. Sometimes he gets it wrong too. There is a reason why Israel is home to Biblical archaeology, and although it should be viewed through academic eyes, there is no denying that so much of its archaeology fits the biblical narrative. It's actually quite impressive how much. 🤷🏼♀️
Shalamu KINA'ANI aka canaan or Kanania. Jerusalem is originally called Urushalimu not yerushaliyim but urushalimu. This is the original kananian way pronounci g the name of the city of Jerusalem which is fair cuz it's originally their city since they the canaanites founded it.
To me it seems that digging into the past of Israel could tarnish the image of supremacy and splendor, in the same way that the genome project is very disrespectful of the sacred distinctions: jew, arab, slavic, germanic, etc., just an unnecessary source of confusion shaking the foundation of all ideologies and religions.

Henry Williams You should ask Trump University for a refund.
Merely not scriptural dogma ,but trying to be not subjective and following a path of history and pragmatic searches.
