    "3330 years since we received the ten commandments on har Sinaï and we have been keeping these commandments since then." Onto which the Norwegian posed the question which is in the title of this video. So shouldn't the rebbe simply could have answered this with: "I just told you."?

    The Rabbi spoke of "God" getting "Angry". He appeared to give a situation where God possibly GOT angry. Guess what? No one has seen "God" get ANGRY. THAT COMES LATER. Certainly something to "contemplate". What specific reason places us here? Why did "He" place us here? Any Rabbi can give justifications. Any Rabbi can forward "Logic". But,..did "God" tell you "Why"? Why hasn't "He"? "Closeness" is "Earned". And as part of a "People" which don't know the answer? Possibly you should be more curious?

    That's true.. if everything was written down there would be no need to seek God.. yet the first commandment is.. love the Lord your God with all you heart and soul and mind and put no other God before him. I love that we are allowed to question God.. that there's experiences within life that bring that ohhhh now I get it moment.. whether in joy and laughter or with deepened sorrow because it was a painful experience. But finding the reality of today with his words spoken and recorded so long ago.. that are still valid in today's modern age. In the same way a man or woman feels offended or betrayed with a spouse who may not even physically cheat but is always looking elsewhere.. that pain, that betrayl, that sense of why are they looking there when I'm right here.. is the same way God feels when we look elsewhere or consider another path..
    Seek first the kingdom of heaven and all things will be added unto you.. yet those who don't seek God or even acknowledge him often get resentful towards those who do thinking they have things more easily when in fact they have put in the effort to actually seek God.. pressing in.. or even at times arguing with God.. but even arguing is still communication. When the bible is read with a realistic understanding of humanity.. then seeing God's response to that humanity .. that's when the grace and mercy is properly understood.
    It shows God in his rightful place as confronting the actual issues of the situation..
    It's why I don't understand when people think God has no humour.. that he doesn't understand that we have moments of flipping out and losing our shit.. yet when you read about God, he's like you honestly think I don't understand?? Are you blind? How back and actually read my words.. then look at how I speak when I'm pissed off.. but also why I am pissed off.. how many times and ways can I say the same thing.. he tells his people.. your stiff necked .. your so bloody proud in a negative way, in defiance to me.. though I have done so much for you... Your haughty eyes... God is so funny in truth about the words he uses and I see those things in myself at times.. but like he did for Israel he has had grace and shown mercy for me too. When I have my fuck you God moments.. it's often implied yeah.. just try it bitch and we'll see how far you get.. and reminds me of where my own decisions lead me.. then it's a ... Frustrated fuck.. your right... Dammit.

    I disagree with the rabbi on the point of love ...love is not a wishy washy emotion its a drive a force of nature it wasn't enough for God to be known he wanted love thats why he created us thats why through the prophets he pleads with Israel like an adulterous woman as if she (israel) where married to him.I believe the desire to be loved created the universe.

But the way Hashem lets me see things in many ways are so special that i just want to chare with a true Jew. Im from an insignificant Island to the world. So how can our humble people, i don't meant all, cause in all there is always a thing against the right things, whe just need to know the truth about things. How? I got the answer but i need to talk to people not just to fake jewish convert to Christians.

    Norwegian "Christian" or "Norwegian" Christian ?
    You are a Jew your God walk in sandals in the desert . Every family have own tribe of relatives and all tribes of relatives have own nation and every nation have own spirituality .
    If it is Norwegian then it is Odin not Jew suggested "God" from the middle east.
    How about Jew Pagan? that live according to a sum of all ancestors = Odin? Can be Jew spirituality according Scandinavian peoples traditions , songs , practical wisdom, culture, customs... it is "religion" with out miracles with out lie told to people to believe in.
    The truth does not require to believe in only lie does . ...and jew.

    It is Not true Jews, as a group, have been keeping the Commandments got over three thousand years. You have been failing to do this from the beginning. God speaks about this in really strong language throughout the Book. Sorry, but facts are different than your claims.

    • @grubbetuchus
      @grubbetuchus 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      You are so wrong and that's because you know nothing about Judaism. The reward is in the efforts. So, even in the concentration camps there were Jews who tried to perform the various commandments and not break the Jewish laws, even under threat of death. The reward is in the effort, even more than in the results. Free will exists only in the realm of a person's DESIRE to do the right thin g, or to do the wrong thing, and how strongly he has that desire. That's free will. Then, in execution of what a person has a desire to do for good or bad, that part is not up to him, only the desire. That's free will. And that's what you don't know about or understand about Judaism. Sorry, but the facts of the Jewish religion bnegate your point, and that's because of what you don't know.
      For example, regarding free will, do you have a desire to learn more with an open mind? Or do you have a desire to engage in heresy? It's up to you. That's your test and you will be "graded" etymologically, and the consequences are huge. Don't take risks, as you have already done.

      @Michajeru 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      He never said that all Jews have unfailingly kept all the Commandments at all times. We all make mistakes. There are very few Tzadikim (completely righteous people) in any generation. But it is absolutely true that the Jewish people have to this day remained faithful to the Torah. Millions of Jews have given up their lives rather than convert to another religion. Every Jew believes deep down in his or her soul that he/she should live by the Torah and keep the Mitzvot even if they are not fully observant. And thus it is true that the Jew never quit, never stopped being Jewish, never abandoned the Torah.

      As a Messianic Jew I feel that the Rabbi should understand that true Messianic Jews believe that not one jot or tiddle of the law will be changed till all things are completed.

    God Bless Israel and God bless the Jews.
    Im sorry to say that I am uneducated, dont speak Hebrew and have any formal education in the Bible studies, but here is my 2 cents worth to anyone interested.
    Isaiah 53:5 "But He was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed."
    Who is Isaiah speaking about?
    Obviously Christians see Jesus, but the Jews have nobody they can attribute this verse to?
    Genesis 22:7-8
    Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" (28) Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together."
    Isaiah 53:7 "He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He did not open His mouth; Like a lamb that is led to slaughter, And like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, So He did not open His mouth"
    Christians see this pointing to Jesus, a substitute for Isaac, our passover lamb.
    Genesis 22:18 "and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me."
    What Blessing do you think God had in mind? Is it all the Jewish Nobel prize winners of History? Maybe its the message of the Messiah?
    Abraham was willing to sacrifice His Son Isaac to obey God, hence God was also was willing to sacrificed His Son Jesus as a final and perfect sacrifice for our sin.
    But unfortinately many Jews will miss Him until the time comes when He reveals Himself.
    Psalm 118:22 "The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone"
    Jesus is the Messiah.

    • @adamatomic41
      @adamatomic41 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Isaiah 53 is one of the servant songs. The servant (abdi) is identified throughout the book as being Israel (41:8; 44:1,21; 45:4; 48:20; 49:3).
      In Genesis 22 Abraham tells Isaac that a lamb will be provided for an offering to avoid the issue that Isaac is intended to be the one sacrificed. However, G-d provides the sheep for sacrifice in verse 13.
      The Passover lamb represents the false gods of Egypt (Exodus 8:21-22), as their chief god was depicted as having a sheep's head. It's not an atonement for sin.
      The Jewish people have not only blessed the world through Nobel prize winners, but also through the protection of G-d's word.
      David wasn't a messianic prophet. He wrote from him own life and from the perspective of Israel. The rejected stone is the humble beginning of Israel, who has become a cornerstone of the earth.
      Study harder.

      Come on don't be silly. Research can be done on this; some people have already considered these questions.
