Right? This went the extra mile and put it on a separate floor 😂 I love that people appreciating that the toilet is not in the kitchen has become a part of the lore. Too bad there's no space for a grill...
It's ok. It's not terrible, but not great either. It needs storage areas like under the stairs. Replace that table with a fold out one. If it will fit, get a twin sized loft bed for the basement. Put the projector on the steps so you can project the screen on the wall next to the bathroom door.
If your the type of person who doesn't cook and majority of your time is spent outside, this is not a bad space. Clean, modern and has a separate space for the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.

Half points in the burner count since Apartment-chan did a little outline of it. Not sure if the window has a decent view since we couldn't see out of it. Front of the unit shows patios with doors (could maybe put a small grill out there) but I didn't see how to access it from the inside. The space is smartly packaged, but even with that well placed chop chop, I don't think I would shop shop.
*typo: apartment-chan rather than 'chab'. Good call though. U.S $ 200K for this and not enough space to chop-chop decently, in the kitchen nor in the bedroom 😞😏 Good finishings but nope from me on a purchase, though I don't live in Japan, locals can rate it better if it's worth that. For a student or new employee worth considering to rent however for a couple years at most.
@@Rickiye how dare you correct The Judge? also, the second "chop chop is supposed to say "shop shop", but who's keeping tabs? Your "chop chop" was hilarious though, too bad I can't use it outside this comment section because no one would get it...
i would adore living like this. i feel like i would have to get creative with clothing storage, but the rest of the unit is genuinely so amazing to me and i feel like i could capitalise on the space well!
Livable, unlike a lot of the shoebox flats in london, I don't think its size that makes a place livable more how the owners have thought about how can you live in it, if they have thought about it and walked it thru in their mind before decorating and putting the furniture in, you can definitely tell.
Well.... I've seen more cramped Japanese apartments, but only because TH-camrs go out of their way to find them to make "How does anyone live in this" type videos.
Says it's a 5 minute walk to the nearest station, and that station is 1 stop away from Ikebukuro Station, which is sort of mini-Akihabara town and on the Yamanote Line something like 4 stops north of Shinjuku Station. Not prime real estate, but pretty darn good.
I’m kinda confused why all these places insist on fitting in a laundry machine esp when it’s small space. Cause usually in the states for ex you often don’t have one so you gotta go use laundry mat
Umm I don't want to live in a little john style coffin apartment. I don't even think that there is enough room for a galvanized square steel platform bed with eco friendly wood veneer.
How much though? It amazes me how people create these tiny houses and slap a stupid price tag on it. Then wonder why it's still not rented out a year later. The only person wanting this is a single person without kids that have no outside life and just work all the time. So they only have work clothes, x3 pyjamas and 2 sets of clothes and only there to sleep. That's not a life. It's not a place you would want to relax in.

This is
Shin-Otsuka Sta.for only 5mins
1DK
Estimated trading price:31,000,000JPY (USD 193,750)
* 1 USD = 160 JPY (USD prices may vary by JPY/USD currency rate)
That much money for a closet? Lol
@@joltjolt5060 Location, location, location.
Claustrophobia Central!
compared to a majority of smaller listings this account has shown, this isnt too bad.
at least the toilet isnt next to the kitchen
Or actually in the kitchen as was one I saw last week

@@The_Butler_Did_ItI saw TWO last week with the toilet in the kitchen 🤣🤣🤣

This guy gets it.
Would be great for a student or someone just starting out I imagine
.....I doubt it. Man I already feel the stiff muscles and bones with that basement sleeping area
dun even have place to put ur pc... maybe a laptop
Honestly this is downright luxurious compared to some of those rooms that are in wedge shaped buildings
This one is pretty good. Feels like if you're a student this would be a pretty cool space.
It's great for a student or a single adult. I appreciate the creativity, not everyone could design a functional environment in such small area.
Skinny legend property

I cannot imagine paying a quarter million for that tiny home. This apartment is rated *absolutely not 🙅♂️*
Did I miss it? Where are you supposed to sleep? That tiny space by the stairs? Is that even the width of a futon?
*typo: apartment-chan rather than 'chab'.
Good call though.

This is probably the first livable narrow home I've seen. It would still be an adjustment, but I think it's pretty doable if you live alone.
i would adore living like this. i feel like i would have to get creative with clothing storage, but the rest of the unit is genuinely so amazing to me and i feel like i could capitalise on the space well!
The BATH IS HUGE!!!! lol
The price matters and I think this is great for young adults just starting out. This would of been awesome to have in college.
I really love these tiny narrow properties
The space is enough for 1 person who is lazy/hate to do chores. 😅😅🤣😆.
I'm Japanese, so I don't need an apartment, but I can't take my eyes off her cuteness.
I guess you sleep standing up? Lol
I think there might be enough room next to the stairs in the basement for a twin? Or a small foldable futon
I can't be the only person in love with the Ma'am...
this is better than the ones where you have to go out and walk around the building to get to the kitchen and bathroom 😂
At least the toilet is private
It's a win for me
Honestly not that bad if u hate cleaning

I could live there though I would like it to have a larger fridge.
Well.... I've seen more cramped Japanese apartments, but only because TH-camrs go out of their way to find them to make "How does anyone live in this" type videos.
Horrible and unliveable if you can’t even have a bed in a windowless basement.
And since when did a place like this become 200 thousand 🤦
Futon next to the stairs.
Was that windows 8?!?
I like it
Thank you for bringing us this very interesting and informative video presentation which is very much appreciated by us.
I have a lot of dreams where I am obliged to stay in extremely tight space
no storage underneath the stairs?😮
a good starter home 😊
No, that's a corridor not an apartment
LoL
What I can't help but wonder is if it's even possible to fit a bed in this layout? The downstairs room is really quite narrow.
I wonder where the location is given the price being so high. The layout is well done all considered.
That's usually in the pinned message or the description.

@rajamicitrenti1374 anything near the Yamanote is second-to-prime.
The kitchen is smal but hey, it at least still got a small hidden refrigerator xDDDD Alright xD
Being so close to the screen/projection will absolutely fuck up your eyes
It's got a washing machine, but probably not enough room for a bed. You can sleep in the bathtub I guess.
Nice prison cell
I don't suffer from claustrophobia but this place...
Little John if he wasn't completely unhinged and had 6 extra m²
Where do you sleep in this place?! I do like it though! Bed next to that staircase i take it? 😂
Haha this is basically a jail room
For that price and small location, I would pass. Its hard to move around as is in that place..
this isn't bad but I have to wonder if that basement space is even enough for a twin bed 😅
Where ist the space for a bed?
Next to the stairs. Use a futon you roll away during the day.
@Undrave Comfortable living...
Not!
it looks like a sims build challenge 😭
I am thinking a small business office location.

I am not a fan as there is basically no room for a bed here.
