    Good job staying calm and sorting out where you were. I see your true course drawn on the map, I think. If you keep the map oriented so that you are looking down this true course line, everything left of you should show up left of that line. Things right of you should show up right of the line. Read from ground up to the map so as not to be overly influenced by seeing what you want to see down there if you go from map to ground. Think of cross country as building fence. From destination to first checkpoint should be close to establish wind correction angle early. Now each check point/post should fall in line on the proper side of you. Find it on the ground and then confirm on the oriented map. Try keeping the wing level with your feet only. If direct to target is maintained with rudder only, the wing cannot bank. There is a spring connect in the Cherokee as well, but feet should dominate. This gives you both hands to work dead rekoning and map work. Again good job.
