The provincial round robin isn't equal though bet Munster and Leinster. Top teams in Munster will always be at risk of an early end to their season but not so for the top teams in Leinster. Limerick winning this yr shouldn't blind the Munster teams to this. Two good teams will always have an early bath in Munster, not so Gal & KK. Tipp dominated the second half of nearly all their games this year and only lost by small margins. Arguably Tipp were one of top two teams in Munster but their players were out while KK, who are still in development, get a longer trot around the paddock. That'll happen every year with this new system.

What helped Limerick win the all Ireland , Clare beating Limerick and Limerick going the back door , Clare taking Galway to extra time and extra match , did burn out Galway a bit for the final , the making of Limerick , drawing v Cork with man down in Cork ,coming back 6 points down v Cork in semi final to beat Cork in extra time , it takes a bit of luck to win an all Ireland , and a good team !
