Truly the GOAT
Conan needs a monument for keeping golden age 90s comedy alive
90s and 2000s 8)
Congratulations Conan! You really deserve it!
This is WHY we NEED a Conan show in our lives.
NeeD's'LoL...
I agree
I remember watching this on the day. Got me so hyped up.
I remember watching an episode of Wheel of Fortune and after the category was mentioned for one game they had to put subtitles on the screen explaining that the episode had been filmed roughly 3 months prior to its air date because the solution was The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien which had ceased to be a thing 2 months prior to the air date.
As with everything, this just shows the simple genius Conan and the team put into everything they've done over the years. Such quality.
Quite the metaphor Conan running all that way only to be locked outside 😅
I remember watching that and being so freaking excited and happy and, honestly, just thrilled beyond belief that Conan made it to the Tonight Show. I grew up watching Johnny Carson and having Conan being in that same spot as Johnny, albeit short term, was humongous. To be elevated to that level was incredible. Watching this again now, after all this time, brings tears to my eyes. Happy and sad ones!
I am still bitter over how and why it ended. But I love Conan even more for the way he handled it and for all the fantastic things he's done since then. He's truly one of my favorite comedians.
Practically an olympian 👏 👏 still my favorite night show host, it’s a whole gaggle of geese now. Those other guys can eat it ❤
This should have been uploaded in high quality years ago.
I think Conan’s team may not have owned the rights or something
I still remember watching this live when it first aired and almost falling off my chair laughing. Thank you for uploading this!!
About freaking time!
Look a the effort that went into this one bit. That's what it takes kids.
I love, love, love you Conan. This was a great time to be a TV viewer.
Congratulations on securing the role of host of The Tonight Show. That’s something they can never take away from you.
I was 13 years old when this aired and watched the whole Tonight Show run! Still a fan!
This the first time I'm seeing this and I didn't think I could love this man more... until now
Leno quietly watched Conan uproot and move his entire staff and crew across the country while secretly knowing he actually had no intention of leaving and would work to undermine Conan's show. All for a few more years of totally forgettable television. I'm not saying Jay Leno is a sociopath but that is some serious sociopath behavior.
Yup. Among the worst decisions in television history. Can’t think of any worse than that.
Conan was never going to be a successful mainstream talk show host. It's Show BUSINESS and Conan doesn't get good ratings. He appeals to a niche audience.
@@daveclark8337hi Jay. I'm noticing a lot of your negative comments on here now. You made your point, thanks. Maybe if you could steal someone else's jokes again or go listen from inside a closet at some internal meetings, or maybe dress up as some foreign reviewer to directly interview your boss at a press conference about "Jay Leno's future" (yes, Jay actually did this).
You're saying Conan is niche. All I'm seeing is people rallying for Tonight Show-content from 2009, being posted TODAY.
@@daveclark8337By what metric? Late Night with Conan O'Brien had much higher ratings than Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and slightly less ratings than Late Night with David Letterman. Leno needed 3 years to take over Letterman in ratings....and he wasn't even being sabotaged by someone on his own network in the same town....
@@daveclark8337Hahahahahaa! With jokes like this, you just might have a decent chance at stand-up comedy, Jay.
As the #1 Conan fan since 2004, and in the name of the fine people of our beloved Conanation, I demand that you guys upload every single monologue (or even episode) from every show Coco hosted from day one 😄
He's so cartoonish, and everytime his humor wasn't aprettiated he pressed on, love this man
*every time
*appreciated, he
*on. Love
*man.
I remember watching this for the first time. Awesome.
This was really fun to watch when it aired
Memories
I would love to do that run at 02:31 every morning
Congratulations Conan! Welcome back! 😊
