Honestly probably the best castle stage show. My family agree that this is show had the best choreography, the best score, and the revival of the Sanderson Sisters! How can Disney get better.
Because this actors are going out of their way to imitate the animated characters, in faithful depictions that already worked in the original films. Live-action film actors on the other hand might try their own spin (or the director might be the one to want a different depiction), wich may or may not work, depending on the character's characteristics, the actor's talent and audience's expectations.
How quick the ensemble has to put the capes back on the sisters make me nervous cause they literally have seconds to do it. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Sarah still made that cape work!!!
It's probably just magnets or something similar for the show. Quick release and all that. If you look closely you can't see any clasps or anything on their capes. But yeah, she worked it.

Deep down I was hoping the Sanderson Sisters would get dragged to the Other Side upon shaking Dr. Facilier's Hand, and thus making Dr. Facilier take over the show from there. And the process being repeated when Oogie Boogie takes over the show when he somehow takes Dr. Facilier out of the picture after he summoned Oogie Boogie.
This is probably one of the best Disney shows I've ever seen. Disney always puts on the best shows. Every actor/actress they hire really have a lot of emotion and seem to enjoy what they're doing; especially this show. Well done, Disney!

as a theater person i love seeing all shows on stage but i also love seeing when mistakes are made and watching how professional actors handle it... ie when sarahs cape wasnt tied right and she just grabbed it and went on insteadof trying to retie it and possibly missing cues. i love hocous pocus this show is hilarious every year

Best castle show by far! But I never understood why the Sanderson Sisters get to do live vocals (which I love because they KILL it) but all the other characters (and every other stage show) the vocals are pre-recorded.
Probably because most of the other characters in this show (and probably others) are either 1) in big bulky costumes that wouldn't make live voicals possible (i.e. Oogie Boogie), or 2) characters with iconic voices that their live actors can't always imitate (i.e. Maleficent and Dr. Facilier). Or both.

One of the reasons that this was such a big hit other than great acting and wonderful story line is that even though Hocus Pocus is a Halloween movie is that this was released in July 1993 even though it was planed to be released in October but decided that since a lot of movies were going to be released that would be more blood and guts and since Hocus Pocus was a kid friendly movie they released it early and was also a teaser for Halloween to which it worked and as we all know has become a cult classic and was my grandfather's favorite movie

I was literally looking all over the internet trying to figure out if it is her. Because it looks like her and her voice sounds nearly the same. I can't find anything that says if it is her. :s

I think I've never enjoyed a show so much. This is amazing.
One of the reasons that this was such a big hit other than great acting and wonderful story line is that even though Hocus Pocus is a Halloween movie is that this was released in July 1993 even though it was planed to be released in October but decided that since a lot of movies were going to be released that would be more blood and guts and since Hocus Pocus was a kid friendly movie they released it early and was also a teaser for Halloween to which it worked and as we all know has become a cult classic and was my grandfather's favorite movie

I think that Oogie Boogie might be the original voice actor, since he changed the lyrics to reflect the sisters.
It could've. He did do a few things in 2018, but I imagine he had plenty of free time for choreography and singing.
