Magsorc has always been a good class. It’s silly that some folks try to stigmatize it. Super fancy video. GGs. And yeah, the rotation is still only partly static if you’re casting carve on cooldown.
Love how you present your content, as a new player not knowing much about ESO this is really easy to digest and to watch. Thanks!! Top tier content, keep it up!
Thanks so much - glad you like it. Yeah the setup works regardless of weapons. Just be aware that sustain might be tricky without Stampede and Carve. You could always keep the 2H back bar and use a staff on the front bar - that’s what I’d do if I needed range, for example. Good luck with it.
@@NinjaPulls I believe it was Fenyx, I had a Stam DK as my first character then I think I started playing a Necro Healer which you took me through one of the trials with all the Dwemer stuff in, Sanctim Ophidia I think? I also got my mum into playing in Legion with us.
The scrolling timing on the skills used was great. I haven’t seen that done before but it helped my brain to connect the dots on how fast and consistent the skill inputs are
Thanks for this. I'm new to ESO just starting my fourth month and built a MagSorc and I've had a difficult time finding any rhythm with the skills/rotation. It's enjoyable to play, but I am too inconsistent when playing this character. I just hit level 33 and realize I need to rebuild to ensure consistent output. Love the energy, quality and information in this! I have never hit a subscribe button so fast before. I will definitely be looking into making a sorcerer been a templar main for many a year, it will be nice to shake things up 😄
I am so glad that I discovered this channel. Because of you I finally know how rotation works. Simple and concrete. I am looking forward for more content (e.g.: Magica Dragonknight ... just sayin :p)
Started eso 8 years ago. First and only character mag sorc high elf, absolutely love it. The only game I play and enjoy it as much as I did 8 years ago.

@Inkognito Pracholochos it's not so much the class. They've changed the menu layouts, I am now used to that. It's more the gearing and knowing what quests and stuff I should be doing. I'm not in a guild or have any friends in game so everything I do is solo and just trying my best but I always feel like I'm very underpowered compared to other people when doing pvp or even pve
Dad here. Play oakensorc heavy pets build. Does end game content. Can solo anything that can be soloed. 80k dps. Infinite susteain and survivability. What's not to love. Been my main since day 1. Cheers.
Hahaha! My point exactly. Thanks for commenting - I knew you were out there somewhere! Keep on sorcing, and if you feel like trying the setup in this video, let me know how it goes!
@@Nyqvist2 Like any one-bar build, you equip Oakensoul and you're pretty much done! 😄You'll find plenty of builds out there, but honestly the rotation I'm showing here is already so easy - I'd really encourage you to try it. There's definitely no "dancing on the keyboard" going on here. You're thinking of Nightblade! 🗡
Hahaha nice! Mostly it's Ebonsteel body pieces, with a Nibenese Court Wizard leg piece. I think the weapons are Molag Kena and Engine Guardian. And the Asylum skin of course. Who says Sorcerers need to be bearded old men with robes and big wooden sticks?
Intro is better than some movies 😄 Thanks for this vid, helps me a lot. Maybe you want to show a build with staff. Sometimes we need Rangers in Trails.
Yeah I was pleased with how the intro worked out - glad you enjoyed it! So many people have mentioned a ranged setup that I’m thinking of doing a follow-up video.
@@greenebronze Already answered the range question in replying to another comment. It's very easy actually - you just swap the Daggers for an Inferno Staff. I would avoid double staves - you absolutely don't need a ranged back bar, even in vAS+2. It's WAY harder to sustain without Stamina DOTs in your rotation. A bow back bar is an option. Everything else about the setup will still work, but I'm wary of recommending specific setups, since it totally depends on the group you're with.
What set would you recommend instead of rele if you're in an un-organized group and penetration is an issue? Or should I just switch some pieces of rele/whorl around to get more light on the body? Most of the trials I'm running right now don't have alkosh in the group. Or do you think using force of nature CP should be enough? I want to make sure I'm not missing out on damage in those unorganized groups.
Swapping some Light pieces ought to do the trick, but Force of Nature is also a good idea. Maces instead of Daggers is also an option, but switching CP is probably the easiest option.
This is a fanatic video! I made a mag sorc 6 months ago but never got any actual sets or a rotation for it. Is there a way to make them a ranged build? I know stampede and cleave are still really strong but I wanted a double staff build to have ranged utility in group comps. I also loved the way you show the rotation! Super easy to follow, thank you!
Thanks - appreciate the comment! Sure you can go ranged, but it's very rare that you *need* to have ranged damage in trials. It's handy in some dungeon fights, but even then it's 'helpful' rather than strictly necessary. If you're up for trying it, I'd recommend keeping the 2H back bar as it is and swapping the Daggers for an Inferno Staff on the front bar. That lets you attack from a distance where needed, and means you only need to be at melee range for a second or two now and then. Best of all, you don't lose Stampede, Carve and Trap (you can also run Tzogvin or use the Lightweight Beast Trap morph. Even in vAS+2 that setup works great. If you absolutely want to go fully ranged, then try to avoid Staves on both bars. Much smarter to use a Bow on the back bar - then you'll still have enough Stamina abilities in the rotation for sustain to work. Double Staves makes this much harder. Good luck!
@@NinjaPulls thank you so much for the response that makes a lot of sense a friend of mine hitting 100k on console said something similar. Also Crystal Frags is ranged so you’d be fine just spamming that. Keep carve and stampede for gap closing is great. I’m also thinking of the orbs on cloud rest but swapping to inferno front would be sufficient but most of the fight that’s not needed. I am sharing this vid with my guild discords. Please continue to make this excellent content. The bar timers with the skills were just perfect. I would love and updated stamplar that doesn’t suck! When jabs got nerfed into the ground I stopped playing DPS on my Stamplar. Any help there is greatly appreciated!
hey mate I was looking the written guide on your website and was asking myself what piece of gear should drop if I want to use ur mage velothi for trash mobs ? Anyways thanks for this build I managed to get 125k with pillar+whorl but withdynamic rotation. ;)
I didn't hear you mention anything about Champion Points, although in your mini-guide it does show that you have Deadly Aim, Wrathful Strikes, Thaumaturge, and Master-At-Arms. Would you say that Thaumaturge outperforms Exploiter on the trial dummy?
You're right I didn't even mention it! 😶I guess I was focusing more on the rotation than the specific build. But yes, there are enough DOTs here to justify Thaumaturge. But Exploiter won't be far behind.
Dad Sorc here! I’m coming back from a very long break. Was ALWAYS a PvP player but now coming to find out that I need to do PvE content to get some mythics I want! Would this be good for just normal dungeons as well, or where should I start? Doing things like V Dragon Star and such!
Yeah it should work in most situations. Just be ready to move some Whorl pieces to the body if you need more pen/sustain (very useful to have that option). And keep in mind that AOE damage is limited, if you need to melt secondary targets while also keeping pressure on the boss. Just switching your Atronach to the Charged morph makes a big difference, or swapping Relequen for Tzogvin and freeing up a spot for Mages' Wrath. These don't really affect the rotation at all, which is handy!
@@NinjaPulls ok that’s great to hear. Maybe I should have rephrased my question lol: I’ve never done but one Trial in my lifetime of ESO play. Always been interested in more PvP content. But now I need to “get started” with pve to get my build together, for PvP lol. Right about 850 cp currently and just need the basics for dungeons, Dragonstar, farming open world stuff. So what would be better for this? I see that Whorl is a trials set, I don’t think I’m ready for that. Don’t even have the masters, maelstrom, or really any good PvE gear. What would you think is something good to get started, plus abilities? For instance, I ran DSA last night and even though I’m good at not dying due to being good at PvP , my DPS is abysmal in comparison to other DDs.
Been stuck not getting WoD lighting staff for other classes so this could be reason to try sorc. Not tried any dual hand builds as of wondered about the contradictory nature as most mag builds feel range but this means melee range. Does that limit in trial? Does pure staff build decrease DPS a lot? Ty this is ace
I'd recommend trying a 2H back bar, since Stampede and Carve are such great abilities. Dual Wield passives mean that front bar Daggers are strongest, but this matters less since we're not using any weapon abilities on that bar. Everyone should stack at melee range in trials anyway, so that makes no difference (except vAS, where I usually have a ranged front bar). But if you prefer Staves or are waiting for the other weapons to drop, feel free to play that way - it's not a big DPS loss. Hope that helps!
Why do you choose to run two trial setups? I’m trying to wrap my head around how the loss of a 3rd trait, coupled with minimal time on the backbar, would produce more damage than nirn. Thanks for the video btw.
You're welcome. I explain about Whorl at 8:33. It's not that I wanted 2 trial sets per se, but the procs from these 2 sets are really strong and work particularly well with this setup. Having Minor Slayer twice is no big deal, especially if both sets are Perfected.
Sure! There are a LOT of options. Swap Relequen for Pillar of Nirn (Falkreath Hold) and Whorl for Aegis Caller (Unhallowed Grave) and that should work in much the same way, without a major DPS loss. And if you're looking for a Light Armor set, there's always good old Mother's Sorrow!
Yeah anything that you can back-bar will work fine. Whorl just fits with the 18s rotation, so we don’t even have to think about proccing it. Pillar of Nirn is stronger on paper, but you may have to track the cooldown to get decent uptimes.
Apart from an Inferno front bar, it's hard to say. It depends SO much on the group. I know that sounds like a cop-out answer, but I'd hate to offer advice which turns out not to be applicable/relevant. Replacing Relequen with Yandir is a popular choice, especially if the group is stacking everything together. But if you're nuking minis one by one, Relequen is still awesome. Personally, I often use Tzogvin in vCR, and that creates room for another skill on the front bar. You could go with a shield or heal if you're leaving the stack to kill Orbs. Or you could go with Force Pulse as a secondary spammable for when enemies are stacked. I've also had fun with Bound Armaments when I played Orb killer - you can't afford to use it constantly, but if you stack it up before Orbs spawn you can store up the damage and yeet one of the Orbs almost immediately! That's pretty satisfying. Tons more options, but I hope that helps!
No worries - it's a bit baffling! But the numbers are correct: 14 in total (7 body, 3 jewelry, 2 x 2 weapons). We're 'over-equipping' Whorl so we still have the 4-piece bonus active while we're on the front bar. Does that help clear things up? 😎
Yeah, sounds like you're missing something. Impossible to say what it is for sure, but stats, passives and weaving speed are usually the main culprits. Good luck!
@@NinjaPulls weaving speed. Like a heartbeat, metronome set to 55bpm to time cooldowns and the light attack doesn’t go off until I release the controller trigger. Right? Ugh. Anyway. Let me know if I have the weaving concepts down. Slower or faster bpm. Let me know
Yeah that works. Obviously the Major Berserk from Kinras will be wasted when your Atronach is up (or when other Sorcs drop it). Also, be aware that the cooldown on Pillar is 10s, unlike the 18s Whorl cooldown which lines up with the rotation. You'll either lose a bit of proc damage, or you'll need to track the Pillar cooldown and barswap to activate it more often.
Hello Ninja, is there an in depth guide for newbs/returning players like me :/ I wonder which set and weapons to farm first.. what's the prio you'd say?
Hey - welcome back to ESO! I'm hoping to have some more beginner guide stuff soon. But honestly all the gear here is fairly easy to get on normal difficulty. If you're not ready for trials but still want to try this build, then you can replace Whorl with Aegis Caller (Unhallowed Grave), and Relequen with Pillar of Nirn (Falkreath Hold) or Kinras (Black Drake Villa). But keep in mind that PTS is starting on Monday, so maybe don't go grinding out any sets until we know what's coming in the next Update.
@@NinjaPulls Thanks for the quick reply Ninja! Wasn't even aware there will be a new update soon. Sure I'd like to help, but there are SO many options that this is hard to answer. Wonderfully explained so well edited video and super looking build. Need to farm all the gear first :/ Is it possible to make a written guide and rotation for non trial gear and about 90-100k damage in real content, not dummy ? So we noobs can join the farming trials without getting blamed for low damage ... detailed explanation for trash build rotation would also be appreciated.. Keep up the very very helpful work. Warm regards
If i want to run inferno staff FB and BB! (Wanna play ranged all the time) , I can have the same skills on FB. But backbar i dont know.. With endless hail or something... Did u say runed carv? What spell is that? =)
Most raid leads will want you to stack at melee, so keep in mind that range is rarely useful in trials. But I get it - sometimes it's nice to have. I'd suggest using a bow back bar though - double staves will make sustain tricky. You could still use exactly the same rotation, just swap Stampede for Endless Hail. Good luck with it. 😎
@@MrJeden Stampede is stronger, but not massively. Carve is another BIG reason why 2H is so popular - in long fights it's crazy strong. But bow is totally decent.

That's understandable. This video is definitely not aimed at new players! Once you've got the basics and can collect some decent gear, come watch it again and it should be WAY more helpful. If you need tips in the meantime, ask away!
Went to the link and saw the build so that helps. Game throws a lot at you in respect to specs lol. Sorcerer looked fun so started one didn't realize how important pets were until now. Thanks.
Hi my friend nice video. Just a question, so. I use this build and skills for trials but what if the trial has aoe or cleaving opportunities , this build has good aoe? would I change skills in that case? If so what skill would I swap. Much appreciated :)
Hey - glad you like the video. If you're talking about trash pulls then check the mini-guide in the description. There's a VERY strong trash setup in there. If you're asking about cleaving down adds in a boss fight, there are other classes who do this automatically (DK, Necro etc.). Scamp, Stampede, Hurricane and Carve all deal cleave damage, but Sorcerer generally excels at focusing a single target. Daedric Mines can be super strong if the adds are positioned just right, or you can add Mages' Wrath to the front bar (just replace Carve with Trap). That will give you a ton of cleave damage in execute (they buffed Mages' Wrath just last week, so it's worth looking into). Hope that helps!
Feel free to test - there are MANY setups that work. But as I explain in the video, it's the interplay between Prey and the pets that creates such an enormous amount of damage. 10k DPS from a 20s DOT is just silly.
Could you make a build using maelstrom staff back bar. Or a build that’s more ranged. Hate being up close. And is there anyway to hit these numbers without relequens.
You can easily adapt the build to use Blockade with a vMA back bar, but then you lose Carve, Maw, sustain gets worse and you lose a fair amount of damage in the process. It all adds up. As for Relequen, it isn't mandatory - it's just slightly stronger than the alternatives (except for Riptide, but that's ill suited to a Magicka setup). Plus Relequen is so easy to use it's kind of a no-brainer unless you're switching targets regularly.
How would I tweak the build, to get the same results if I do not have a whorl greatsword, I have all the jewelry, daggers, inferno staff, and armor so far.
If you have the Maul or Battle Axe you could use that instead - you spend so little time on the back bar that it won't make much difference. Alternatively, you could drop the monster set for a Slimecraw 1-piece, and equip Pillar of Nirn or Whorl on both front bar weapons, then use an Arena weapon set on the back bar. Maelstrom Greatsword or Blackrose Daggers, for example. Those are probably the first things I would try. Good luck with it! 😎
Yes absolutely - this setup will work with double destro, for a start. But sustain is WAY harder without these Stamina DOTs, so I’d recommend keeping a 2H back bar and equipping an Inferno on the front bar if you really don’t want to play melee. A bow back bar also works. If your group isn’t bothering to provide penetration, then you can put Whorl pieces on the body to help with Magicka sustain, and so on. It all depends on the group.
@@NinjaPulls Nirn Ring, neck and 2H back bar with Maelstrom front bar? I wanted to do DPS with destro using elemental weapon as my spammable but is dual wield really that much better to make destro obsolete now?

@@Ares_Sorrow yes, big difference. The heavy attack pop at the end is the largest amount of damage, so it is priority to hit as many as possible. Skills are additional damage proc’d during the HAs. I think someone tested HAs only and hit 83k:) But in content, you need skills, like wall for off balance etc etc, that the 21m dummy is providing.
Good question. I haven't tested it, but it should be no more than 4-5k DPS behind. In shorter fights it might even catch up, because Carve doesn't really shine until the fight goes on for several minutes.
@@NinjaPulls For a full ranged setup would you recommend Fire Staff + Bow or double staves? I assumed bow because of sustain. Thank you for the answer though :). I am mostly thinking about dungeons so the fights should be short enough to be worth it.
@@Vazio3 Yeah I would assume that double staves would be tough to sustain in longer fights. Then again, if you're talking about dungeons you may be able to get away with it. There'll definitely be more testing once the new patch drops!
Yep! If you absolutely have to go ranged you can swap DW for Inferno and 2H for Bow without losing a ton of damage. Double staves are tough to sustain.
@@NinjaPulls how would staves be hard to sustain on a mag spec ? Just heavy once or twice with the hybridization the mag specs got all the love and us Stam players essentially got nothing
@@poisonious_cactus9402 Dropping 2 Stamina abilities and replacing at least one of them with a Magicka ability risks tipping it over into unsustainable territory. Feel free to play around with it - you can equip more Light pieces or Heavy Attack as you say, but that's a damage loss. Unless you absolutely need the range, there's just no advantage in going with Staves.
@@poisonious_cactus9402 Depends what you mean by 'hybrid'. Everything in the game is hybrid now, and in this sense this is no different. But it's still a Magicka Sorcerer because it uses Magicka as its primary resource - that's where our damage scaling comes from.
No, you're correct. Named buffs do not stack. But this was still the strongest setup I tested with this static rotation. Still works great in the new patch too!
this is great and all but i do wish there a beginner setup. i only have one character that actually has gear, i've never really farmed for any other class. i can't do trials yet.
Fair question. There are lots of sets that will work, but your best option for the back bar would be Aegis Caller from Unhallowed Grave. Another long and powerful proc, although it’s 15s instead of 18s. As for the front bar, Pillar of Nirn or any decent offensive set. Good luck!
Hmm i can’t decide between Magblade or Magsorc for Pve all Content I like both classes but want to main one of it thinking like a bit more than a week now😢
Have you considered playing the Stamina versions of these classes? Both will be pretty great this coming patch. Sorcerer has always been fun and easy to play, and probably always will be. But in my (highly subjective) opinion Nightblade is cooler and more satisfying, even though it can be challenging to play perfectly. Ultimately, if you can’t decide yet, then I’d suggest you keep playing both for a bit longer and see if one of them comes out ahead. All DPS classes in this game are pretty great.
@@ImperialTalion OK well if it's gotta be one of those two Magicka classes, then I think Sorcerer is a safer bet. The class has been through some changes, but PvE magsorc hasn't had a bad patch in years (despite what you may see on the forums). Check that you're wearing enough Medium and have all the necessary passives. My character is an Altmer, which helps a bit with Stamina sustain, but still it never goes under 50%.
Go for it! 👍Your setup is your choice. I occasionally use Staves in content, but this video is about the EASIEST way to hit 125k+ and that involves pets, Daggers and a 2H. I have no clue why anyone would reject any of these, but if you can pull your weight without them and prefer it that way, don't let anyone stop you! 🧙♂
Sure, which gear set do you mean? The 5-piece gear sets I'm using are 'Arms of Relequen' from the Cloudrest trial, and 'Whorl of the Depths' from the Dreadsail Reef trial. But other sets can also work. You can get someone in your guild to craft you some gear - Law of Julianos, Innate Axiom, New Moon Acolyte and Claw of the Forest Wraith are all decent craftable options if that helps.
Hmm - I wonder how much more damage you'd get with the setup in this video (which is still relevant, by the way). Obviously there are lots of factors besides gear. Weaving speed and uptimes are common culprits, plus details like Mundus/CP which are easily missed. I play on ps5, should I switch to PC? I’m only CP250 but I have a lot of stuff and crowns. Worried about starting over but I think Ps5 servers are dying
I dunno about the PS servers, but there’s definitely no rush. Getting your first character levelled and set up is much easier after CP2.0 (I just did this on NA), so don’t worry too much about starting over. Maybe if there’s a particularly cheap deal on ESO, then you could always grab it for PC and give yourself a foothold in case you decide to switch. Hope that helps, and sorry I can’t give a more specific response!

Sure, to some extent it's down to the player. 👍Some people find it really hard to weave Frags, but personally I find this sorc rotation far easier than anything (that deals comparable damage). I actually play Stamcro much more than Magsorc, and I made a guide with a pretty straightforward 123k rotation. But it's nowhere near as simple or static as this one. Dude the way you make a guide is by far the best one in youtube
Haha that's great to hear - thanks a lot!
Magsorc has always been a good class. It’s silly that some folks try to stigmatize it. Super fancy video. GGs. And yeah, the rotation is still only partly static if you’re casting carve on cooldown.
Lmao that intro
And i love this kind of detailed guide video, much better than short parsing video
Thanks! Appreciate the kind words.
What a fantastic video. The production quality is absolutely smashing.
Much appreciated!
Love how you present your content, as a new player not knowing much about ESO this is really easy to digest and to watch. Thanks!! Top tier content, keep it up!
Thanks for the kind words - that's exactly what I'm going for, so feedback like this is great to hear! 🤩
high fucking quality omfg best on youtube. Glad to see. Music, background, thumbnail and general theme fitting the class and ez explanations. perfect
I’ll never use physical weapons on my sorc as I prefer Staff play styles but this build is incredibly interesting and looks very fun. Great video

I really like the way you visualized the rotation; thanks I will definitely try this!!

I totally agree and it will make my parsing better and more fun I believe..
@Inkognito Pracholochos it's not so much the class. They've changed the menu layouts, I am now used to that. It's more the gearing and knowing what quests and stuff I should be doing. The most important question is, what armor motif are you using in this video?
Hahaha nice! Mostly it's Ebonsteel body pieces, with a Nibenese Court Wizard leg piece. I think the weapons are Molag Kena and Engine Guardian. And the Asylum skin of course. Who says Sorcerers need to be bearded old men with robes and big wooden sticks?

best content, legendary eso guide Ninja thank you
Thanks so much!
Intro is better than some movies 😄
Thanks for this vid, helps me a lot.
Maybe you want to show a build with staff. Sometimes we need Rangers in Trails.
Yeah I was pleased with how the intro worked out - glad you enjoyed it! So many people have mentioned a ranged setup that I’m thinking of doing a follow-up video.
I would love that! We are working on a vAS+2 and need ranged. I just love staves 😁
@@NinjaPulls sweet!! That sounds great! Thank you so much! 🤩
@@greenebronze You're welcome - good luck in Asylum!!
P.S. Tzogvin can also be very nice, since it adds a line of pen, and frees up space on your bar.
@@NinjaPulls Thanks man!
Anyways thanks for this build I managed to get 125k with pillar+whorl but withdynamic rotation. ;)
Trash setups are very dependent on group/situation, but I'd drop the monster set and switch to a 1 x Slimecraw.

Time to dust off that magsorc! Will need to get whorl first though
Maybe I should have rephrased my question lol:
I’ve never done but one Trial in my lifetime of ESO play.
"Sorc is what your Dad plays"... As a father, I can verfiy this
Been stuck not getting WoD lighting staff for other classes so this could be reason to try sorc.
Dad? Yes!
Sorc main? Yes!
Time? Not much!
Thank you for not throwing 57 armor/weapon combinations at me. My daughter is hard enough to follow. 😁🤷🏻♂️
You're welcome!
Having Minor Slayer twice is no big deal, especially if both sets are Perfected.
love this , do you have any build for magplar? :)
Thank you and here it is: www.ninja-pulls.com/dps/templar
Thanks for the video. Do you have any recommendations for a non-trial gear setup?
This was what I was looking for... thanks for the question and thanks for the answer..
I'm now wondering if this skill setup if viable for any armor. I can't access whorl yet so I'm running nirn and rele
Yeah anything that you can back-bar will work fine. Whorl just fits with the 18s rotation, so we don’t even have to think about proccing it. Pillar of Nirn is stronger on paper, but you may have to track the cooldown to get decent uptimes.
What changes to this build would you recommend for Orb Killer in vCR+ trials?
Just a quick question on the written guide us says 5 pieces of reli, and 6 of whorl, 2 maw, and kilt maybe my math is bad but that seems 1 slot over?
No worries - it's a bit baffling! But the numbers are correct: 14 in total (7 body, 3 jewelry, 2 x 2 weapons). We're 'over-equipping' Whorl so we still have the 4-piece bonus active while we're on the front bar. Does that help clear things up? 😎
Also a dad. Also play magsorc 😅 really nice video, it was a pleasure to watch and listen to.
Cool, thanks!
Quick comment...If using Relequen on a magic class, the perfected version doesn't help the damage because the 5th bonus is Stamina.
Correct. Perfected makes almost no difference either way.
♥️
I guess you are on PC? I can't get this working on Xbox controller. I hit 38k on a 21 mil dummy. I'm missing something
Let me know
Pillar + Kinras instead of Rele + Whorl is a viable option?
Yeah that works. Obviously the Major Berserk from Kinras will be wasted when your Atronach is up (or when other Sorcs drop it). Also, be aware that the cooldown on Pillar is 10s, unlike the 18s Whorl cooldown which lines up with the rotation. You'll either lose a bit of proc damage, or you'll need to track the Pillar cooldown and barswap to activate it more often.
@@NinjaPulls sounds good, I just love that sustain, seems preety good to keep that up
@@NinjaPulls maybe pillar + mother’s sorrow for that rotation would fit better, right?
We need more eso humor. Creators are so dry and boring. Tyvm.
Agreed. Lots of potential here for silly comedy!
Hello Ninja, is there an in depth guide for newbs/returning players like me :/
I wonder which set and weapons to farm first.. what's the prio you'd say?

For overland and normal difficulty stuff you can do whatever you want, but if you want really high damage then I'm gonna recommend the build in this video. Check the CMX page at 12:35 to see exactly what I'm using, and feel free to tweak things around for preference or for different encounters.

Is it possible to make a written guide and rotation for non trial gear and about 90-100k damage in real content, not dummy ? So we noobs can join the farming trials without getting blamed for low damage ... detailed explanation for trash build rotation would also be appreciated.. Keep up the very very helpful work.

Who made that intro !?😆💙 Amazing
Thank you! Kaan made that intro!
I musta missed it but is this all Stamina, Magicka or hybrid? Thanks!
It's definitely a Magicka Sorcerer. But the gap between Magicka and Stamina shrank a LOT in 2022, so many of the same things apply.
If i want to run inferno staff FB and BB! (Wanna play ranged all the time) , I can have the same skills on FB. But backbar i dont know.. Was thinking about lightweight trap (so i can throw it) , but still missing the last skill.
That is if i go inferno/inferno with Orders wrath FB / Pillar of nirn BB. How about Inferno FB and bow bb? With endless hail or something... Did u say runed carv? What spell is that? =)
Most raid leads will want you to stack at melee, so keep in mind that range is rarely useful in trials. But I get it - sometimes it's nice to have. I'd suggest using a bow back bar though - double staves will make sustain tricky. You could still use exactly the same rotation, just swap Stampede for Endless Hail. Good luck with it. 😎
@@NinjaPulls thx so much for answer. Im not doing raids yet , mostly vet dungeons so i feel ranged is just ... Nicer 😂
@@NinjaPulls thx. Are stampede and endless hail simmular dps?

Hi my friend nice video. Just a question, so. I use this build and skills for trials but what if the trial has aoe or cleaving opportunities
, this build has good aoe? would I change skills in that case?
@@NinjaPulls Thank you
Once upon a time Sorc Execute + Some DoT on back bar slightly outperformed Scamp.
Is this no longer the case?
Feel free to test - there are MANY setups that work. But as I explain in the video, it's the interplay between Prey and the pets that creates such an enormous amount of damage. 10k DPS from a 20s DOT is just silly.
Well done
Thanks!
will not having divines gear make me lose a lot of damage?
Not a huge amount, but your crit chance will be substantially lower, so yeah, it is a disadvantage. But the build will still work.
Do you play Dark Elf or High Elf?
This was a High Elf. But it makes almost no difference.
Been trying to tell new players that static is the way to go.
Yup - they won't always work for everyone, but static and semi-static rotations can be extremely useful, and not just to new players.
Is there a good double destro sorc build that pulls good damage?
Is this build changing much in the patch this month?
We'll lose about 2k DPS from Light Attacks, but otherwise this will work exactly the same. Unless of course ZOS do something cheeky on patch day!
Oh yeah, I should add that Mages' Wrath will deal significantly more AOE damage next patch, so any fight with adds you'll probably want to use it.

@@Ares_Sorrow what’s your CP? All passives in right purple branch of blue tree? Keep holding HA. Hit next skill during HA for an auto drop. DPrey is every 3rd HA skill drop. Don’t do 2 skills together. Except maybe ulti and DP if both are ready at the same time.
@@iamcosmicdude hmm, maybe my problem was doing 2 skills together? Does it make that much of a difference?
@@Ares_Sorrow yes, big difference. The heavy attack pop at the end is the largest amount of damage, so it is priority to hit as many as possible. Skills are additional damage proc’d during the HAs. I think someone tested HAs only and hit 83k:) But in content, you need skills, like wall for off balance etc etc, that the 21m dummy is providing.
is there a decent alternative to whorl for this build?
At 8:38 I mention that Pillar of Nirn works just as well. It's just that Whorl lines up with the rotation so neatly. 😎
How much worse is bow back bar with Endless Hail + PI instead of carve and stampede?

@@NinjaPulls then technically it's a hybrid sorc correct?
@@poisonious_cactus9402 Depends what you mean by 'hybrid'. Everything in the game is hybrid now, and in this sense this is no different. But it's still a Magicka Sorcerer because it uses Magicka as its primary resource - that's where our damage scaling comes from.
does two minor slayers stack? i thought it didn't
Good luck!
that's pretty funny because those are the same sets i need for my stam dk. i already have the aegis stuff lmao.
@@pwnmclovin1 That's good news!
Yes I played over 1 year Stamblade and stamden but I’m tired of stamina and wanted to start a new class
@@ImperialTalion OK well if it's gotta be one of those two Magicka classes, then I think Sorcerer is a safer bet. The class has been through some changes, but PvE magsorc hasn't had a bad patch in years (despite what you may see on the forums).

I can't find Daedric Prey?
It's in the Daedric Summoning skill line. The base morph is called Daedric Curse.
What type of staff, trait and enchantments pls
Check the CMX report linked in the description, or at the end of the video 😎
I'm finding my stam sustain lacking, becuase we are using 4 stam skills.
Check that you're wearing enough Medium and have all the necessary passives. My character is an Altmer, which helps a bit with Stamina sustain, but still it never goes under 50%.
wtb sorcerer none pet dps none weapon just staff🥱 light set
I just remembered that i only did 20k dmg with my magicasorc when i won the VMA the first time. 🤣
I am kind new and I dont understan what the gear set is can you please explain that
Sure, which gear set do you mean? The 5-piece gear sets I'm using are 'Arms of Relequen' from the Cloudrest trial, and 'Whorl of the Depths' from the Dreadsail Reef trial. But other sets can also work. You can get someone in your guild to craft you some gear - Law of Julianos, Innate Axiom, New Moon Acolyte and Claw of the Forest Wraith are all decent craftable options if that helps.
@@NinjaPulls I mean what chest what legs what necklace ect.
@@buraksonmez1761 Head to 12:35 and you can see the exact setup I used.
Can I know the build?
Yes, it's in the video! Also, the mini-guide is linked in the description.
full medium or?
Check out the CMX linked in the description.
This build has 2 light, but the beauty of Whorl is that you can add more, if you need.
Is this build still viable?
Yes, but you should update it to the one I posted a few days ago. Here: th-cam.com/video/HQXt-Qvup8Y/w-d-xo.html
using relequin/pillar/zaan and only hit 96k
Hmm - I wonder how much more damage you'd get with the setup in this video (which is still relevant, by the way). Obviously there are lots of factors besides gear. Weaving speed and uptimes are common culprits, plus details like Mundus/CP which are easily missed. I play on ps5, should I switch to PC? I’m only CP250 but I have a lot of stuff and crowns. Worried about starting over but I think Ps5 servers are dying
NOT!!!
I tried the sorc but it is just so boring And takes no skill. I am nightblade main. But I do enjoy your vids. Keep them coming
Thanks, will do!
I Have Maw MS
I turned my magsorc into HA nobrainer and come out among top pewpew in trials lol (obviously not playing with pros)
ninja pulls what though?
'Pulls' is a plural, not a present tense verb. 😁 It's the name of our guild in ESO. We don't necessarily condone ninja pulling, but it happens and it's often amusing!
🤣👍👍👍😎❤️❤️❤️
Main bar weave time 0,00 is kinda sus xD
Weaving Average is 0.024 overall, but thanks for noticing! Although I’m not sure my ability to press 2 buttons per second is anything to boast about 🤣. When you DPS test 12 classes every patch, you get a lot of practice!
Does he ever show the build lol
If you took a moment to glance at the description you'd see the build and CMX linked right at the top.
@@NinjaPulls yess i saw that sorry i was a bit irritable when i wrote that being sober and all but thank you
@@Knaaz-q5x Sober and irritable? I know how that feels. If only there was an easy cure... 😎 Hope the rotation is useful.
@@NinjaPulls it did and you got my sub bruh keep at it youre really good
@@Knaaz-q5x Thanks a lot - appreciate the support!
Easy? You should see stam necro rotation.
Perhaps a bit more interesting though!
