Chimaev doesn’t deserve a title shot any time soon In my opinion. Only fought usman at middleweight which was on less than 2 weeks notice I’m pretty sure. Pulled out of multiple fights at middleweight. If he was to beat Whittaker, 2 wins in the division should not grant him a title shot. This would be different if he was a former champion moving up a weight class, but he is not so I think he’s very lucky being given the opportunities he is. No doubt he’s a very high level fighter but he the special treatment he is getting is ridiculous.
